Front desk. Gabi was extremely helpful when we needed to change rooms. Also, beds very comfortable.

Noise from surrounding rooms. Steps from guest in room above seemed to reverberate in our room all night. Eventually changed rooms.

I've stayed here before and it was really nice several years ago. The staff was friendly and breakfast was a little above average, but this time was a NIGHTMARE! There was BLACK MOLD and the room was NOT clean. The desk clerk moved us to another room on the same floor and it was WORSE! BLACK MOLD in the bathroom along with rusted shower head, door hinges, faucets and handles. There were dirty clothes in the drawers of the dresser, smutz all over the desk & tv, dust all over the phones, clock and tables. I have pictures to prove it all! This was a HUGE disappointment after going through a VERY difficult situation earlier in the day with my elderly mother at 11:00 at night.

The front desk clerk was really helpful and apologetic about the rooms, and tried to get us into a new room. However, it was as bad but even worse. Both rooms were MISERABLY hot when we opened the doors since the a/c was OFF in both rooms. It took several hours to get the 2nd one cooled done so we could sleep sinceit was 99 degrees in Allen/Dallas, in August. At 11:00 at night and with an elderly mother dealing with all we were on this trip, all of this really added to the stress. It was after midnight before we got settled. I lived in this town for years and this hotel WAS a nice one. The staff was friendly and tried to help and seemed shocked when I showed them all of the pictures of both rooms, but the cleaning staff did a terrible job and the GM & owners should be checking EVERY room but obviously they don't. Our family has stayed at Holiday Inns for years, time to rethink choices if this is the level of "hospitality" they're serving up now. Black mold can be VERY serious and can have deadly consequences if not treated CORRECTLY. I sincerely hope they take this seriously. I should have been told immediately that we would not be charged anything but we weren't. We'll see what happens...
