Nothing, the staff is rude and has zero accountability.
Everything!!! My 5 year old daughter found weed in the dresser in our room. When speaking with the manager, at no point did she apologize for the incident. She proceeded to say that it couldn't happen and basically call me a liar by reapeating that "im not saying it didnt happen but thats impossible" the manager claims she cleans the whole 2nd floor herself. Not once did I see her on the 2nd floor. I did see housekeeping (that was not her). She agreed to compensate us for our stay as soon as we were to check out. We checked out and left earlier than we were scheduled to. And now, when contacting booking.com, they say they have not heard from the property in regard to the issue. After many failed attempts from bookings to reach out to the property on my behalf, they got put on a 10 min hold to het hung up on twice. I was directed to reach back to them myself. They agian tell me they have messaged and called bookings.com. Yet booking.com has no correspondence from the property. Do not stay here it is way overpriced, and the property is not what they claim to be.

The breakfast was just OK The yogert was almost gone and the assistant didn't speak much english.
When we checked in, I asked for a lower rate, which was given. When I checked outk there was no receipt and the hotel person wasn't able to give me a receipt or tell me what the rate was. Said she would e mail me the receipt butI never got it

It was nice area, very convenient for food and shopping and close to Grand Rapids downtown.
The room we got was nice, clean and comfortable-ish
Not a lot to hate besides the construction stuff in the parking lot that time.
But immediately we walked into our bedroom and it REAKED of cigarettes. The carpet in the “kitchen area” wad really ripped up. Not a whole lot you could do about the kids jumping off the beds and running around about us. And the tv remote go figure wasnt working.

The front desk staff was great (MJ). The room was clean and well stocked with items needed for my stay. Everything was close as in restaurants and shopping. Had a great breakfast selection.
Only thing that I did not like the next day was called stating my credit card on file somehow got erased and needed information again. Which I did not give and felt kind of odd to me.

The hotel seems a little older, but it was clean, in an excellent location, friendly staff, great breakfast and, although we didn’t bring our dog, the hotel is animal friendly.

Staff was not friendly and didn’t look as if they wanted to be there. Toliet was way to low to the ground.

the 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms was perfect and very comfortable for a group of girls celebrating. it is a short drive or Uber ride from downtown Grand Rapids, many stores and restaurants are just a couple minutes away. it is a beautiful hotel. the pool looked beautiful, I’m sad we didn’t have time to use it!

Only one jet on the hot tub functioned. We were promised a king bed with our reservation , when we got there he explained that only queen size was available, and because we made the reservation through Booking . com we couldn't receive the difference on our bill, instead we had to receive $10 dollar credit we could use towards purchases at the little shop at the hotel.

I was unable to check in upon my arrival ! Your credit card system (IHG @ Grand Rapids) could not read either of my two french banks VISA cards, including a VISA Corporate credit card. Same thing at Holiday Inn accross the street => it is an IHG card reader or standard issue, not specific to Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids.
None of both Staybridge and Holiday Inn Grand Rapids staff were able to find any solution, so I ended up at an other hotel , with absolutely no issue with my credit cards.
The attendant at Staybridge told me that she had the same issue with previous foreign customers, who could not check in their room either. So my conclusion is that IHG hotels at Grand Rapids cannot receive any foreign visitors, period. Access restricted to national card holders only. So why do you accept bookings from booking.com and from arround the world ?
You should warn your futur customers of such restrictions. I arrived at midnight at your place, after a very long travel, after having called you to ensure my booking was effective, and it was, only to be rejected and left with no hotel place to check in. Extremely unpleasant experience.

rude breakfast staff, front desk receptionist had no clue about anything and more than once promised things she did not follow thru on (bringing towels to the pool, bringing new remote to our room). also pool not in working order, cold and being filled up with a hose, hot tub heater not working.

The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was polite. They let us check out an hour later.
We did not get to check in until 5pm because the room was not ready. I had called ahead to see if we could check in early and they said my reservation had been cancelled because my card was declined. When I shared that I received an email from booking.com that my card was charged, they said no we cancelled your room. So I had to rebook in another room that was $170 more. Booking said my room was not cancelled, and that the hotel did not except the virtual credit card from booking. Booking.com was able to refund my money. Thank you.

Beautiful courtyard and pool area, breakfast was amazing and way beyond expectation. Two bed/two bath suite was phenomenal. Great for a quick trip, but If I had to stay for an extended period, I would definitely want to stay here.

Location was good, lots of shops around. 15-20 minutes from downtown. The room was clean.
Disappointed that there was supposed to be free breakfast but two of the mornings we were there, there were no eggs made and very little to choose from. I know they were short staffed but at the same time if you advertise free breakfast, they should have breakfast there.
And what was with the child sized toilet in our room? I’ve seen shorter toilets in an elementary school. I’m in my 50’s with a bad knee, not fun. I also had to go ask for more soap since we were only given one tiny bar as big as my thumb.
