I made a reservation using booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that the hotel had no available rooms. I had a confirmed reservation, but they didn’t seem to care. The assistant manager told me she could not help and suggested I call booking. This was very a very frustrating situation, as I had a 10 year old child with me, and we were both very tired. It was at 11.30pm, and I had no other option but to look for another hotel, and pay for another taxi ride.

We booked this hotel because we had a brutal overnight at Dulles -- checked in around 9pm and had to be out by 4 or 5 am. We just wanted to sleep, which was impossible! The walls here are paper thin -- I could literally hear the person in the next room's phone conversation word for word. I could also hear the peeing sound from room above us every time they went to the bathroom. I always trusted Aloft to be a good experience but this ruined it for me.

Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
We were surprised by lack of shuttle to airport. Had to arrange uber at last minute. Would not have booked if we had known.

Very modern hotel. Room clean and had all the amenities needed. Check in staff very pleasant and helped us out to get to grocery store as we didnt have a car. Bar staff very nice also. Very nice stay all together.

Pool for the kids, nice bar for the parents, tables for bringing in dinner or eating breakfast - everything accounted for. Fun decor so not a boring hotel when you have to stay in.
No milk to buy for our cereals - how about the long life milk packs? But we bought at target for the remainder of our stay..

The staff wasn’t very accommodating or friendly; booking.com price was much higher than the hotel rate. When I called about it and also sent an email, no response and no price matching done

Your concierge staff needs not only learn professional manners but also know their duty. They were constantly hiding in the back office like gofers when they should have been present at the main desk. I had to bang at the door just for someone to come out with a bad attitude.
Seemed like a cheap motel staff with a high price tag! Very sad for such brand name hotel.

Clean, modern, great beds and bedding, wonderful snack and beverage selection, as well as a bar. But best was the staff. from the gentlemen who checked me in (wish I remembered his name), to the shuttle driver, etc, A+ across the board.

Loved the fitness center. The room was cute and the tv was very big and clear. The shower was nice step in shower. Nice coffee maker in room.
Bed was a little soft for our taste but we slept well. Toilet was a little low for elderly.
