Staff seemed friendly

Place was a dump. Went to plug something in and there were literally holes in the drywall not patched. Needs to be updated, looks looks are back in the 80s. Location wasn't great, had to drive around to get to a light. Way over priced for what it was.

The only perk was that the hotel was 2 minutes from where we needed to be the next morning. Close to downtown St. Charles.

Hotel was very run down and dirty. The elevator was filthy and had sticky floors. The whole building had a funky odor and carpet looked old and dirty. The outlets in our room were loose and difficult to plug things in. I awoke very early and did not have enough supplies and coffee to make coffee in my room because the room was not restocked. The one blanket on the bed was very old, worn and very thin. I was cold throughout the night. The pillows looked to be very old and were gross and dirty. Walls were paper thin and we could hear music, people coming and going and slamming doors till very late that night. Breakfast was a joke. It consisted of dry packets of something, no juice and a rundown pancake machine. The place was so dirty I did not want to eat there so there was an extra cost for my young son and I to go out for breakfast. As a woman with a young child, I did not feel safe in this hotel. There were a lot of weird people roaming around. Worst hotel experience ever.

The hotel was clean and front desk staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice sized refrigerator

Location. No bed bugs. The fridge was a decent size.

It's old. Elevator didn't work one time. We pushed a floor button but it went nowhere so we had to get out and take the stairs. Breakfast was awful, shower took a long time to adjust the way I wanted, tv remote was very hard to operate. No bag for the ice bucket. We didn't pay much bfor the stay ($165 for two nights) but we could have stayed in a different place with better facility. The smoke alarm was just hanging by the wire (photo attached)

Coffee 24/7! Friendly cheerful staff. Squirrel and birds cavorting by the front door. The room was basic space, all I need is bed and bath. The other guests were plain people like me. Free wifi! The pancake machine is cute and entertaining.

I wanted a hot soak in the tub but the drain stopper didn't work and the tub was cracked. Great shower, though. I was in 125. Sounded like the workout center was directly above. But the noise settled down by midnight. Turned off the fridge, it was noisy, nothing in it. I never sleep well away from home anyway.
