We booked our room at 8pm, scheduled to check in at 3 am. (After driving 13 hrs) My girlfriend and I both have service dogs, hers for BPD and PTSD and mine for Cardiac issues. Upon arrival, we found out that she had given away our non-smoking single bed room and was going to give us a double bed smoking room. (I have an air purifier and I’m exhausted, no big deal) As we get inside the room (while the dogs are in the car waiting to be unloaded), we are met with multiple HUGE cockroaches. When we go to mention this to the front desk, she asks about the dogs, We are already prepared and explain that they ARE NOT pets, what their jobs are and my girlfriend even pulls up laws referring to service dogs. (THIS IS A PET-FRIENDLY MOTEL!) and she starts to scream! She ignores everything we are saying to her and then proceeds to cancel our reservation and tell us to sleep in our car! I understand being woken up late, it’s frustrating and makes things hard to understand. However, to scream and ignore laws/guests is completely unacceptable. Add that on top of the lack of cleanliness and I wouldn’t just not stay here, I would warn people to never be near here.

The bed was soft, which was great. The room was worn but clean. Soft drinks are purchased at front desk but there was somewhere there when I needed one. Washier and dryer onsite. Pool.

Not a great location. I had to cross 3 lanes of traffic every time I needed to go somewhere. The shower had little water pressure and the hot water took a long time. The shower head was about 8" too low. Even after adjusting the stream of water hit me in the chest.

Bugs in the room. Mostly in the bathroom, but sometimes on the microwave and even on the bed.

room was the usual kind of dirty one would expect at a motel, some dead bugs, stains and hair on the carpet and bathroom. the couch felt sticky so we covered it with a sheet before using it. bed was uncomfortable, our backs hurt after sleeping here three nights. the worst part was the staff, who were incredibly unprofessional and rude. WARNING to anybody who stays here: the owner insists they do a "routine check" every Friday morning around 9am. the owner frantically knocked on our door and demanded to check our room. this was the first morning after we checked in, we were confused and they did not give an explanation other than "this is their home and they need to check every room and they don't trust anybody". i requested they put on a mask first, but they did not and proceeded to force themselves into our room. it looked like people were staying here long-term and seemed more like an apartment building than a motel.

it was a filthy mess. The carpet was disgusting. everything in the area was sold out or I would have left. They should be closed down by the board of health.

No replies to our informing them we wouldn't be there until late. The woman at the window didn't even get out of her chair she just pointed to the No Vacancy sign. I told her we were checking in, she made it seem like "online" was a dirty word. We didn't get the King we booked months in advance. The toilet could have been a disaster. They didn't clean the room and just left two tiny towels. Fortunately, this was literally just a drop and sleep because of the early morning starts and wasn't worth my effort to question anything. It was fine, just needs to work out what hospitality means.
