The Breakfast was great. My kids enjoyed the snow cones and popcorn!
Everything was great except the sofa bed in our room was broken. It made it hard to use.

The breakfast staff were great, the meals were always fresh and delicious with a great selection.
The staff we encountered were all very courteous and friendly, ready to help on a quick notice.
We have been staying at Innslake Homewood for over 20 years.
I am feeding this info because my background is
facilities management, restoration and remediation in residential and commercial properties. I see new carpet and wall coverings being completed. Looks great. I see mechanical and functional items will need an upgrade soon. Specifically the plumbing with more efficient toilets and bathroom sinks. The hvac unit in our room struggled at outdoor Temps of 67 to 72'F. At a setting of 65/67 it should chill us out. The shower in our room was fabulous. The furniture was in great shape. Kitchen functional and everything a guest should need in a hotel suite. One comment on sofa and chairs, don't avoid comfort for durability. Suggest you sit for a few minutes in them and decide how you would rate them as a guest. There are good fabrics out there that are "wet" cleanable and still look good and are comfortable to rest on. There was a time in health care facilities that interior decorators tried to put fabrics, carpetry and wall drapery materials that was eye catching, but was a night mare to maintain In waiting and public areas.

lobby area was clean with good snacks and there was good breakfast
the beds were small and extremely uncomfortable. One of the beds also was unclean with lots of hair.

Everything was good except the bathroom
The bath was the only issue. The shower pressure was so high that my 5 year old had trouble bathing. Also the flush was too loud and took very long to fill up.

There was a mess up with our room which resulted in having to change rooms, but the staff was extremely friendly and took good care of us. The rooms worked out and we had a nice, relaxing evening.

The room was great other than the smell. We were not in the room a lot so it was not that bad to bare with the AC on. Also the hotel was booked so we could not request to change rooms. The room were clean. We brought our own linen and bath ware, so we did not use any of the hotel stuff. Kitchen was clean and they provided everything you needed to use in the kitchen and bathroom if you decided to use. This would have been an excellent review if the air quality in the room was better. The hotel is by a lot of stored and restaurants, you do not have to go far for food or to shop.
The air quality in the room was bad. The room had a bad odor. it smelled like mildew, mold or a pet has been in there and the room was not aired out good. Having the AC on and fan killed the smell, but once the AC was off the smell came back.

Wanda checked us in and she was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The King size bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom in our room had hair in the tub and the pool was not in use. The rooms don't come with a full kitchen because there is no ovens just a stovetop.

The staff was nice and friendly
The room needed work done to. The closet door in the bed room was broken. The Garbage disposable had a horrible smell, it had food in it. There was dishes in the dishwasher that wasn't put away.

Wait at front desk for 15 min no one was there, till I have to loudly said " Hello" a front desk person come up does not look happy. then check us in didn't offer us any water later I saw him offer another to guest. We check in at 6:30 PM and saw the breakfast area still dirty plate cup mess still on the table. The room smell molded later fine out it was leaking in the back. when next room using the shower the water was so loud.

It was close by to the area I needed, the staff was friendly, and having a suite was convenient.
it didn’t seem like the room had really been cleaned before we arrived. the bed was made but there was some tidbits on the floor, inside of the refrigerator and a two wet towels on top of the shower curtain in the bathroom.

First i received two different prices on bringing my service dog. Both was different from what online stated. So he did not come because I could not get the response online had. The lamp shades were barely on the lamps. The toilets were too close to the floor. I had to have My people come in the room to get Me off the toilet. There were no bars to grab on too. I asked for a disabled room , i was told My room was accessible and did not get one. I had to walk down 3 flights of stairs. My body was in pain. My people got trapped in the elevator on Wednesday and it still won't fixed by My Friday departure. I had to remind them Not to charge Me for Wednesday night. The pots and pains were burnt up on the inside. The guy that work Wednesday during the day worked above and beyond to try and accommodate due to the elevator incident. But when others clocked in the attitude was different. Like they did not want give Me what i was promised. All and all i was surprised My experience was the way it was here. I expect a lot better.

the location is good, it was a easy walk to good restaurant and that was very nice. the cleaning lady was sooo nice and sooo friendly when we asked for more soap.
I stayed at this chain in Worcester, MA and had the best experience! this one just did not live up to the other one unfortunately. maybe because this one is older? I don’t know. it was not as clean as the other one and other then the cleaning lady we talked with it wasn’t as inviting. and the elevator definitely needs some maintenance.
