I have stayed at sands beach many times, but this has been the best apartment in terms of location and cleanliness. Pool, sea, shops and restaurants all within 100 meters of this apartment. The owner was very responsive to any questions I had also. Highly recommend, I will be back. Thank you.

Communication from Keith the owner was great from the start, despite an error on my part with the contact info. The villa / apartment was exactly what we were looking for for a short break with two children. It faces out onto the pool area which made it easy for them to be playing in full sight of the terrace. Lots of very good restaurants in easy walking distance. We did eat and drink at the pool bar on one occasion and didn’t find it to be bad value. Some places off site are very cheap which makes the on site bar seem expensive in comparison. But we thought the food was good and reasonably priced for the convenience. I had wrongly assumed that the children would be able to get involved in the kids club but found that there is a charge per day if staying in a private let. As it happened they were happy playing in the pool and on the park in the complex. Overall, a lovely relaxing holiday in a nice location, we would definitely return in future if visiting costa Teguise. Thanks!

had a great holiday, apartment is very nice ok it is a bit dated but the facilities are very good.had a bit of a problem with the dust from the building work but that’s not the owners fault , I will be booking again

Grundreinigung für die Ecken fehlt ! Ränder um die Herdplatte ! Große Roststelle an der Badewanne - vielleicht gibt es ja bei einer Erneuerung der Wanne ein besseres Material. Starke Staubent- wicklung durch eine große Baustelle hinter der Anlage, so dass man die Terrasse und die T-Möbel täglich reinigen musste. Zusätzlich war es eine starke Lärmbelästigung.

Communication from owner was good. The complex is large and there was a lot going on for children. We were situated opposite a lovely pool and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We had a slight hitch with access as we arrived after dark and the terrace light switch wasn' There was everything we needed for our short stay although the property itself is badly in need of some TLC. In particular a new bed and pillows, as it was not at all comfortable. Communication with the owner was good from the outset although we were told we needed to check in at reception and this appeared to be incorrect. The man on the desk was rude when he found out we were staying at a private rental and angrily threw our passports back at us. Despite asking twice for directions to the apartment he ignored us. Thankfully another female staff member supplied us with a map! It was after dark when we arrived and it was difficult to see the numbers on the safe lock to get the key. The outside light switch was not working and we ended up having to telephone the rep for help. Apart from that we had a lovely relaxing time. Sands Beach is a huge complex and we thought it would be excellent for families with children. The staff all work very hard to keep the complex well maintained and apart from the reception man we found them all to be friendly and accommodating. The location of the resort is well placed and many bars and restaurants can be found via a short walk along the beach front or the long road outside the complex.

Villa had everything we needed for our stay, management company in Lanzarote very helpful, second time we have stayed at Keith's villa and would recommend.

it is a very nice property but needs a little TLC, the non-slip bath mat was a hazard and was safer NOT using it.Personally I'd rip the bath out and put just a shower in there. the toilet was loose and you had to sit at an angle due to the toilet roll holder being in the way. the pillows were a little lumpy and you could start to feel the springs through the mattress. the salad drawer could do with changing as it is cracked and chipped. there is 1 sun lounger which sags but still relatively comfortable. Apart from these few things the apartment is very good. the outside pool, like all those in Lanzarote, was cold but once you got past the waist line it was ok. the sea pool was one of the reasons I booked this site and it was a let down as it was sludge however that is the resorts problem and nothing to do with the apartment.we ate on the terrace most nights,it has a nice large table and the chairs are ok. definitely go back there again. the resort itself could do better as there are different charges for private rentals and those they rent e.g. mattresses for the sun lounger appeared to be only for the resort clients and not private although we got them. also parking at the side of the resort inside the security gates is 20euro per week for resort clients and 50euro for private however they gave it to me for 20euro. most hotels make money on currency exchange it was 1.17euro to the £ downtown and 1.04euro at the resort which I though excessive. the supermarket on-site is expensive as you would expect but again I think they are TOO expensive when the one further down the road is a lot cheaper. again a lot of this is down to the resort and NOT the owner of the apartment but if you are staying then a little knowledge about the resort may be useful. as it says in the title I was so relaxed I was horizontal.

We loved our stay at Sands Beach with our children aged 12 and 7. The property was ideal with everything that we needed, including a washing machine and dishwasher, oven and microwave. There was plenty of storage and clothes hangers in the wardrobes. There was the added bonus of Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water on arrival. The only slight issue's were that the beds weren't the most comfortable and the mattresses had seen better days, this could easily be improved with the help of a mattress topper of some description. Also the patio doors were taped on one side behind the curtains and they shook and rattled a bit with the wind at night.The property itself is in an ideal location in the resort, Amarilla Plaza is one of the more sheltered plaza's. the terrace is south facing and it is lovely to be able to relax on the terrace whilst the children play in full sight in the pool area. We were on holiday with our friends who were staying on another plaza but they tended to spend pool days with us we were more sheltered from the wind and had the sun on our terrace. Sands Beach is well staffed with lifeguards on each pool who are very friendly and always making sure the pool area is clean and tidy, the whole resort is kept lovely and clean. There is a mini disco for the kids most nights and a pyjama party between 9-10pm to keep the younger children entertained. There is also entertainment on in the bar which varies and is ok but improves after a few cocktails! It is a lovely 5-10 minute walk along the beach to a good selection of bars,restraurants and gift shops. We went on a couple of day trips-Rancho Texas and Timanfaya and would recommend them both.We would definately return and would love to stay in the same property again, thankyou Keith

We had 3 fab weeks in this villa it was very clean and has everything u possible need including a washing machine. The villa is in a very clean complex with a number of swimming pools bars and shop. Also a great location 2 mins from the beach short stroll to shops bars restaurants we really enjoyed our stay here and would like to say thank you Kieth

Charming south facing ground floor apartment with outside patio with table ,chairs and sun beds . The photos of this apartment don't do it justice ,it has all the amenities req for your stay with outside pool . The sands beach complex is spotless clean with bars ,restaurant and small supermarket if req . Would recommend and hopefully will be back in the near future

We have just returned from ten glorious days in Sands Beach Resort, the villa was very clean and had everything a family would want from a self catering holiday, it has a lovely sea view and is very close to the pool in a very sunny position. There are lots of good bars and restaurants a short walk away, in fact there is a Sports bar just across the road, which does good take away meals if required. We would definitely recommend this villa and Sands Beach Resort and hope to return next year. Thank you Keith for your very helpful communication and information. Everything you need all wrapped in to one. Thank you to kieth for the rent. This villa was very clean with all you need to have a great self catering holiday. Ideal for families or friends. Situated on a great plaza. Lots off little extras in villa. Will be returning in the future.

The complex is nice but the accommodation needs updating. Although it is clean, it does smell of damp.

Apartment is on a good plaza in a good postion on the plaza. Straight out the door roght out to the pool. Less than a minute to nearest beach. Good that apartment has washing machine.

We had a lovely holiday from start to finish. Arrived at mid-day to find the villa already prepared for us, and checked in with a friendly and very helpful receptionist. In fact we couldn't fault any of the resort staff throughout our stay. The villa was clean, in good condition overall and was the best equipped self catering accommodation we have experienced. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware. The villa has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. It also has a decent sized fridge/freezer which we found invaluable, as we actually do mainly self cater. The resort is kept immaculate throughout and although busy was never too noisy. The bar, restaurants and shop were fine, but rather more expensive than alternatives a few minutes walk away. Overall we were very pleased and hope to return in the not too far future. The property was just like home from home and only a few minutes from the beach only a 10 minute walk to an assortment of shops and restaurants.

First I'd like to thank Keith for the patient replies. The Villa is well located, sunny and was very clean. The equipment and furniture seems to be the Sands Beach standart, a bit dated maybe, but really ok. One old chair that looked really beautiful was a bit smelly though. Big plus is the dishwasher by the way! The Villa would need a couple of hours of smaller repairs, like silicon-sealings in the bathroom or make the doors close properly or that socket in the bedroom...just tiny things, all in all nothing to really complain about. The Resort: We stayed at Sands Beach before, and we really like it here. The Laguna is really nice, and the location is great (not, if you want your "nightlife" just next door). The Pool at MaiTai (the bar in the middle of the lagoon) seemed to be a lot colder than last time, it is supposed to be heated - well, we enjoeyed it anyway... There is a not too little charge for the sunbeds now, which made us not stay too Long there. Funny was, that they were trying to update the pool area at one of the plazas. Tried, because they seemed to have trouble with the synthetic turf, so progress was made in babysteps and the result -when we left- was...well they tried. The pool areas do really need some love, but maybe more like at "Sol Plaza", which was renovated a couple of years ago and quite nicely. But again, the Resort was kept flawlessly clean, the staff was allway friendly saying "hola", joking with the kids, just nice people! Area: We went to the beaches a lot this time. Favorite beach is Playa Jablillo, a bit wind sheltered but quite a walk (or short drive) - really cool snorkeling as well (at high tide you can snorkel across the rocks a little to open sea - I saw an atlantic eagle ray, black grouper, a friendly octopus, a barracuda and a lot more there). Diving is great with daivoon dive center, which is located there in a side street. There is incredebly cheap and good food around - we really enjoyed the chinese 4,95€ all you can eat buffet or the 2€ full breakfast! Just look around a bit, you will find the right place for your Needs (just a little walk away). The food at Sands beach seemed a bit overpriced. So if the tiny things I mentioned get fixed and maybe the furniture gets a little update- could be 5 star rating next time. We had a good time!
