Beautiful, spacious and loved the activities

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are friendly.

For the price of this hotel you would think you would have a bigger room. There is only a tiny mini fridge that is smaller than any other place we have stayed. The food is way over priced. The pool restaurants are not open as late as the pool is. You would think in the summer when travel is peak that they would be open until the pool is.

Everything, from checkin, nice games, fun, pools, restaurants, room service, valet, friendliness, cleanliness, helpfulness, staff courteousness, we had so much fun and we didn’t even get a chance to do a lot of activities away from the hotel. However we want to thank Ms. Donna, Lyndsey, Susan, the chiefs, the water aerobics with Ms. Donna and the young lady helping Lyndsey at the front desk, my apologies because I know I’m missing some names. But if you all helped Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and our daughter, thank you so much. Everyone was so happy and kind. We absolutely loved our stay and that Henderson burger was the bomb.com, if you haven’t had it you need to try it. We’ve been gone about a week now and we can’t stop thinking about it. It’s like a drug. The texture, the taste, and it never changed that burger was the same each time we ordered it. Which was about three to four times. We can’t wait to return and we will stay longer so we’ll have a chance to get out for some snorkeling, boat tour, Margaritaville, helicopter riding etc. it only rained once on the night we arrived, all the other days were wonderful, sunny, breezy and just awesome! 

The only thing that we were disappointed about was our check out. The young lady apologized because she said that it should have been explained properly at checkin. That the hotel hold $480 x 2 on the card for incidentals. We understand that usually hotels and car rentals will hold a deposit until check out or return, however when you don’t explain it correctly and we had already gone to the bank to add the additional amount to make sure that we had everything covered. Now we were holding up the valet & bellhop, because she had to take out additional time to explain additional charges we were looking at on our print out. So in other words we thought they were charging us double in the incidentals, but one of the totals would fall off 2-3 days after check it. The bank holds that additional amount when you charge an out of state trip. Had we know. This in the beginning our process would have gone smoother and less frustrating. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Was very disappointed to check in to our room and find out that we had no microwave or even a trash can other than the small one next to the toilet. The very small refrigerator was barely big enough to hold much of anything, and certainly did not keep us from having to bring a cooler up in order to have fruits and water available and cool. We did not call the front desk, but we also found hair on the sheets of one of the beds. (Not just one, but several) There was also a good size wasp nest on the balcony porch which made it less than relaxing while sitting out drinking coffee. (The wasps claimed one side of the balcony and let us know when we were getting too close.) Overall the resort is a very nice place, but highly disappointed in our room accommodations for the price paid.

Great hotel in a splendid location and a private beach - white sand and crystal blue ocean water. Great for adults and families. Dining options are good but pricey for their value. Other than this, the overall vacation experience for the family was excellent.

The check in staff did not give us much information about the site even though it was our first visit. For the pet fee we paid they did not make it clear where to take dogs to go potty or offer any amenities or comforts for the dog. I noticed a doctor was checking in next to us and received so much more attention and information then we did. But we paid just as much to stay there. We also were not informed the lazy river pool was not working.

The food at the breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere. The restaurant was very nice also.

We felt like the property was not getting the attention it needed. We had several issues with our room, first trouble getting in the door, then the fan didn’t work toilet ran for a long time after flushing, carpet had stains and holes and the coffee machine didn’t work.

We had dinner one night. It was delicious and beautiful In presentation. We loved all of the property and the helpful employees. We will recommend to friends and family!

The Henderson Beach Resort is top notch! Our experience was phenomenal from start to finish! The resort staff members were superb and attentive to all of our needs. The restaurants have quality food and the Primrose offers a fine dining experience. If you are looking for an upscale experience with private access to the pristine beach of Destin, this is the resort for you! 10 out of 10 experience! We will definitely be returning very soon!
