House keeping is forgetting to clean the room. Yes, they forget during my stay. They also forget to put shampoo and water :-(

As this was my second stay in the hotel, the manager upgraded my room for free from Standard to King de lux which was a very pleasant surprise!!! The location is great - a metro station is within walking distance (about 6 minutes). The bathroom was in excellent condition as before. We were given drinking water and fruits/cookies on a daily basis, and the egg fryer Anjela with her shining smile and friendly attitude made breakfasts even better!

Amazingly comfortable place to stay in a busy city. Great hotel rooms, sound proof, great climate control and black out curtains. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything you need in one place. Amazing view. We loved all the facilities.

The staff could be more helpful, quicker, or more friendly. We loved the concierge man! Some of the food we tried was not up to the standard we expect at a 5star hotel. Cant complain with the price.

Central restuarant. Food was good and nice atmosphere here. Enjoyed the pool with sauna. For couples hoping to relax together, note that male and female spa areas are separate.

Unfortunately our trip was spoilt on arrival by a taxi scam but made worse by the response of the staff and security at this supposed 5 star hotel, who did nothing to support us, except watch as they allowed an angry man to follow us into the hotel loby at 2am and shout in mine and my partners faces, even trying to pull my luggage out of my hands once inside the hotel. It was a very scary experience and shocking behaviour from a taxi driver, but whilst I understand we had accidentally taken one of the many illegitimate and criminal taxi's in Almaty, I'd expect to feel safe and supported upon entering a 5 star hotel with security. This was not the case. The security staff simply watched awkwardly and the women at reception just told us we needed to pay him off. Perphaps to offer condolence, she told us about many other guests terrible experiences, so i presume this is common but at a 5 star hotel you expect to be taken care of and to feel safe. This is not the case. How was the man allowed to follow us into the hotel. Rooms are also outdated. At a 5 star hotel you expect regular upkeep, which is not the case.

Good value and I received an upgrade due to two previous longer-term stays at the property. Guest relations manager Assam is excellent, provided professional and intelligent assistant to ensure my stay was maximum enjoyable

The Decour in the rooms and in the lobby lounge etc. could use updating and upgrading… Things are a bit dated from original hotel construction.

Location for me was great as I need it to stay closer to Central Stadium. Pool is lovely without chlorine. Staff friendly and helpful. Some furniture and carpet in places worn and our shower was leaking. thank you

Hotel is very very old, difficult to charge a gadget if you have more than 1, water in the sink and the bathtub is staying for 10 minutes after you wash your face, there is a shower curtain which is as dirty as the pillows you can see in the picture. Breakfast is of not quality products , one can think everything is left from other days. Staff is working good , but the rest needs to be redone, renovate. I will not come here second time. Also the pool was a 3 point out of 10.

The smell is so not good... All is too old. The fitness center was not rpepared. No tools for the soft trainings.
