La propreté

Le Check in automatisé qui ne fonctionne pas bien. Il n’y a pas de véritable personnel présent, saut une personne qui est parfois présente mais qui en cas de problème doit téléphoner à un supérieur qui de loin a bien des difficultés à aider. La maladie du moment le tout automatisé sans contact humain. Pas de personnel certaines heures. La vue extérieur sur un vieux bâtiment délabré.

Rooms were comfortable, beds and pillow. Clean.

The check in procedure was a painful experience after a long travel, the lady on the phone could not speak proper English and help. There was no staff to be seen. The neighborhood is a bit shabby. The lobby downstairs looked crappy and not inviting at all.

I have no real complaints. We were looking for an inexpensive place in this location and it was perfect.

Facilities are very new, one of the few hotels that have a TV in the bath. It's quite an amazing experience taking a bath and watching TV at the same time. Both sides of the bed had a stand with light controls and an international power outlet.

Decent location, quite close to the park which is nice to roam around or just sit and relax in. A 10 minute walk to the MRT. Staff are helpful and let us leave our luggage after checkout so we didn't have to carry it around all day before our flight. It is a nice hotel if you discount the first day we had there. Hint for hotel: don't leave doors propped open if you have a problem with smoke coming into the lobby! Tip for travellers: when you find the hotel, just ignore the person at the desk on the street level, simply go to the lift and go up. The Bnight hotel has a sticker on the floor number but I think it was floor 6 from memory.

Upon arrival there was an awful smell of cigarette smoke in the Bnight 'lobby'/check-in desk. Because housekeeping seem to leave vacant rooms' doors propped open, this meant our room absolutely STANK of smoke. This got me wondering if the smoke alarms actually work at all or whether the hotel turn them off?? Either way, our non-smoking room was very bad and I wasn't very happy with it. The smoke smell cleared up after about a day but wasn't a nice start to our stay. Also, the first night we woke up sweating as the aircon had turned off. I went to the front desk and the person there came and helped get it restarted. I found out in the end that the switch with "master" written on it which I thought just turned off the lights, also turns off the aircon...so just don't use it! Anyway, whilst we were waiting for the aircon to be restarted, my partner noticed she'd been bitten about 6 times whilst in the bed (see pics! Note the picture of the bed bug bites is after putting some ointment on to stop the itching!). I asked the guy to change the sheets which he did (and struggled a bit to do) and after that she had no further bites. I seemed to be lucky and didn't get bitten but I was awake most of the rest of the night wondering whether we should just check out and find another hotel or not. We stuck with it in the end and despite a terrible start, we actually managed to enjoy the rest of our stay.
