Mamma Kim and the Homestay has been the highlight of our one month long Vietnamese trip. Cham island is paradise, like a place time forgot. Mama Kim is just like a mum, so warm and friendly and THE most amazing cook!! Rooms and bathroom spotlessly clean with lovely cotton sheets and good air con. The locals are lovely too. Beaches are like something out of a movie set. Completely deserted with emerald green water.

The amazing location, the village is very calm, safe beautiful and tranquil. Somewhere to lose yourself in a book for a few days of peace and calm. Sotting reading by the waves in the beautiful air.
Mama’s cooking is amazing, she’s very kind and despite her limited English she’ll make you feel right at home.
The people in the village are all so kind happy and friendly, I cannot recommend a few nights visit here enough.
nothing - the property was perfect for us. be aware it is secluded and it is a laid back Homestay not the ritz - don’t come expecting to much, lean in to the island life and you’ll love it.

Mama Kim is an excellent host! She was always kind and helpful- she helped us rent a bike, and told us the best beaches to go. The homestay offers many activities, and Mama Kim’s excellent cooking made me look forward to every meal!

Staying at Mama Kim’s house was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. She is super welcoming and sweet, made sure we had everything we needed and more. Her food and tea was excellent and it was so nice coming home to her meals after relaxing on the beach. She also arranged for us to go snorkeling which was a lot of fun. Kim is also very helpful with booking transportation from the mainland to the village on the island. I am very happy we chose to stay with Mama Kim, it has been the highlight of our Vietnam trip! Unfortunately we had to leave early due to bad weather coming up, so I would recommend checking that out beforehand.

A beautiful place and you get a warm and warm welcome from Mama Kim. In the afternoon there was a delicious soup and for dinner spring rolls and fried fish. Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep that night and was very weak the next morning. Maybe I'm a bit too old for the trip. Mama Kim was very sad because I left after just one night. Greetings to dear Mama Kim.

Kim was really nice and arranged everything for us. Mama cooked really good, and we enjoyed eating the traditional Vietnamese dishes. The room was nice and clean. The house is located near a beach with lots of fishing boats. From there you can book a snorkling trip which was amazing. First you sup towards a good beach and then you can snorkle there with lots of coloured fish. We had a pleasant stay here

We hade two amazing day in Island Smiles Home stay this summer.
Mama Kim is very nice, and her food is super delicious, there are always vegetarian option too!! The room is cozy and Kim is very healpfull. Without her healp, we could have never visit this beautiful island. They healpd us, in everything from booking the right boat to choose the most beautiful beaches. You can choose some relly good activites here.( The early morning SUP tour was one of our favoutite experience during our full Vietnam trip!) If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience, this is your homestay!

I enjoyed every minute of my stay at Island Smiles. I was met with a warm embrace from Mama Kim followed by a delicious and nutrious meal she had just made in her kitchen. Her food was by far, the best I had on all of Cham and possibly in Vietnam.
Conversations with her daughter, who helps run the hostel, were a real highlight of the trip. She was incredibly kind, helpful and genuine.
The room was basic but it had everything you needed. I look forward to my next trip there.

Mama Kim was an amazing host. She welcomed us into her house like family. She cooked us some of the most tasty vegetarian food we have had in 2 years of living in vietnam. Her daughter was also very helpful with information about getting the boat and more. We will remember our stay here forever.

Its a real authentic Vietnamese feel in this place. The island is a historical location and I think this accommodation is one of the best options to explore the local life. The host is like a mother and she will really make sure you are comfortable. You can get great breakfast, lunch and dinner for extra charges and help yourself for drinks from the fridge. All of these you will pay when you check-out.
