We had such a great stay at the Hotel Gappmaier. We were there for a business-mountain biking trip and the staff kindly offered us a late check-out, which was amazing. We had dinner at the Hotel and it was delicious. Great wine selection and fantastic choice on the dinner menu. The breakfast buffet was to die for, everything one could want - from muesli to cold cuts to juices, the option to order specific egg dishes via clever order notes on the table. Again the staff was so nice and helpful. So nice also to meet the owner who showed us the amazing mountain biking facilities - including wash station, lockable storage and even a shower next to it! One of the highlights was the garden with its comfy lounges, the beautiful mountain view and amazing post-ride vibes. Not to mention the brand-new spa and wellness area and pool - we'll be back!

Really good location, close to lifts and restaurants in the town centre. One of our rooms had gorgeous views. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The spa area was delightful, the pool was lovely although very small.
One of the rooms overlooked the main road and was opposite an enormous, ugly carpark. Not very scenic.

Location was good. Staff were very friendly in the hotel and it was beautifully presented. Tea and coffee facilities in rooms would make it better. Spa was great. Food was good quality and value.

Reception weren’t very helpful on email in terms of providing local knowledge (such as where to book a massage). Instead just directing you to tourist office.

The Hotel is absolutely beautiful. It has the best bike facilities i have ever seen. Lockers, showers, bike wash, workstand. More like a spa for your MTB.

All the service and the food were about the best I've had on a skiing holiday ie 38 years!
The view of a multi storey car park from my balcony was a slight disappointment

The public areas and exterior of the hotel have benefited from an excellent refit. The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of choice and the evening meals were varied and mostly delicious. The waiting staff are all lovely, very personable, attentive and efficient. The location is good, the hotel is just a short walk to the village centre whilst being equidistant to each of the gondolas. The hotel manager was also very helpful when our pre booked taxi to the airport failed to arrive, he kindly rang around and managed to arrange another taxi. He was also on hand to help and provide advice of how to get to neighbouring Kaprun and Zell am See.
Our Schattberg room had benefited from a refresh but unfortunately the bathroom remained dated, the shower over the bath did not have a curtain so it was impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom.

Hotel is a short walk from the town centre. Hotel food absolutely fantastic. Good portions and variety for dinner, consommé wonderful with good selection of salad bar items. Choice for breakfast excellent ranging from cereals, cold meats, fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, good choice of rolls and croissants.
Family room was spacious. Crucially Wifi in hotel survived the onslaught of family usage.
Swimming pool smaller than expected and colder, but that didn't stop the family enjoying the spa. .

Central location, excellent food, bike room and bike wash, joker card included, pool and spa. Great value for money. Clean and nice hotel and rooms.
Parking in front of the hotel is limited and usually full. Parking is secured in nearby garage. One parking space reserved for guests who need to unload and upload baggage and bikes would be nice.

Really good place to stay. Staff was really friendly and professional. Room was clean and quiet (balcony to the inner yard). Hygiene- level was really good at the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with wide selection of different options.
Summer card included the price, super! Parking was always available. Chatterberg Xpress- lift really close. Warmly recommend and we will definitely come back when it's possible!
