Due to dangerous weather/travelling conditions, and concern for health & welfare of travelling companions , I had to book Hotel Bamberger Hof, last minute. We were warmly welcomed, even though we 'dripped' water all over the carpet! The price, for the comfort we experienced, along with breakfast, was great! AND none of the doors in the hotel clicked or slammed shut, so no one was disturbed by others moving around very late or early. The rooms were very comfy. The shower, hot and powerful. The continental breakfast had a good range to choose from. All the staff we met, were very welcoming, smiling and pleasant. We were travelling on motorcycles, and there was sufficient, decent hard standing for us. Not 'secure' parking but sufficiently secluded from passers by.

Other reviews mentioned traffic and train noise. We only experienced it outside the hotel. We liked everything. And have already planned to use this hotel again on our next trip.

Excellent location just next to station on railway line to Eisenach which is only 6 minutes away by train. Very comfortable bed.

Tiny bathroom that we could barely turn around in. Air conditioning was old and not that effective.

Apartment was fantastic size and features unbelievable, just wish more time was available by us to stay longer.

Unfortunately no lift was the only issue of concern, and maybe a little bit bigger tv. Another issue was we arrived on a public holiday which wasn't good but front desk did a great job getting a feed for us,well done staff.

The attencion of the personal. Even it is near of the road and train station, the noise is very low. I recommend this hotel.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly, the breakfast offered a good choice, parking was free, the room and the hotel itself were very clean. Warm water and heating were readily available. The hotel is conveniently located for people traveling by car or public transport.

The room seemed very cramped, even for an economy double, it would be more suited to a sole traveler. The TV and the antenna were not plugged in on arrival, so we had to crawl underneath the desk to be able to watch TV, some of the appliances in the room need replacing (window handles, cable points, shower head).

Almost nothing. There are small thing need to improve: no full length mirror And iron in the apartment. Eiderdown is too warm, resulting in bad sleeping.
