Incredible villa with great access to the sea. Lots of wonderful spaces for meals, reading, and relaxing. Perfect location, about 20 minutes from Siracusa, and hour or so drives to Baroque cities of Modica, Ragusa, and Noto. We are planning on staying here again. Met all expectations!

Amazing house and view.

The villa is amazingly spacious and beautifully decorated and designed. You can swim in the front and there are beaches south and north not far away. Definitely great value.

Fint hus med stora utrymme för en bra trivsel. Terrassen var väldigt fin med en underbar utsikt över havet. Vi var sex vuxna och alla trivdes ypperligt. Var svårt att hitta en bra supermarket i Fontane Bianchi, hittade senare en närmare Syracusa. Vår värd var väldigt gullig och hjälpsam. Vi kommer säkert tillbaka.

We were very satisfied with this large and well equipped villa. We were joined by our daughter and her husband, along with our 2 grandkids, and everyone felt right at home. There was plenty of space for everyone, including play areas for the kids. We had plenty of fun roaming the yard and gardens and going down to the rock beach. However, we did find it a little awkward getting to the nearby sandy beach as the narrow roads made it too difficult to take young kids - solved with a 5 minute drive. Vincenza our hostess was marvellous and welcoming, and had stocked many staples for our visit. She was extremely helpful! A very enjoyable holiday.

The hosts were so attentive and the house is really amazing! I loved having lunch or dinner in the terrace, you cannot beat the views. Also the house was super clean (and my standards in that front are vey high!). I really felt like home. We will come back!

Had a great stay at the villa. Location is very good with great views over the sea (the pictures don't lie) and in a quiet neighborhood. The coastline is rocky, but it’s possible to access a good swimming spot directly from the villa. There is a sandy beach in Fontane Bianche proper which is quite close (5 min. by car or 15 min. on foot). Siracusa is only 20 minutes by car, so perfect location for exploring that. The villa itself is well appointed, clean and perfect for two couples. Also, there’s ample parking space for two cars. We arrived very late, but our hosts had left a hamper with fresh fruit, fresh bread, homegrown olives, tomatoes, coffee, milk and wine, etc. to get us started - excellent service.

This was one of the most beautiful houses we have ever rented - the view from the terrace was glorious and we (two couples) spent most mornings and evenings sitting out looking at the sea. The house is very comfortable and not too cluttered, as many rentals are, with beautiful artworks and artifacts, many by Lidia. Vincenza and Lidia met us at the house having stocked it with two kinds of olives, a huge fruit basket, bread, butter, milk, wine, olive oil, coffee... It was hard to tear ourselves away for sightseeing. We enjoyed pizza at Pizzaria Blume in Cassibile, as well as peppers, meat, cheese and roasted chicken legs with onions and potatoes that we bought at the nearby small grocery store. Laundry was easy since the machine had a 30 minute cycle, unlike some European ones that take hours. The only minor drawback was the somewhat difficult trek to the water and, for fastidious Americans, having to put toilet paper in metal containers instead of flushing it.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche anfang Novemberhier verbracht. Das Wetter hat auch mitgespielt, was wichtig ist, da die Unterkunft über keine Heizung in der Küche und dem Wohnzimmer verfügt. Wir konnten den Kamin nutzen mußten das Holz jedoch kaufen, das vorhandene war nicht trocken genug. Davon abgesehen ein toller Urlaub! Im Haus ist alles was der Hobbykoch braucht, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank auch für die Lebensmittel wie Wein Brot und Tomaten zum Start. Ute

Wir haben in diesem herrlichen Haus wunderbare Ferien verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und liegt direkt am Meer, in dem man sehr gut baden kann. Die Hausbesitzer haben es sehr liebevoll ausgestattet, so dass es einem an nichts fehlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

This property is a gem! The view is exactly as advertised and the house is very well appointed, especially the kitchen. We loved the breakfast dining area as well. The owners were terrific to work with. Highly recommend!

Et virkelig skønt og veludstyret hus. Modtagelsen var varm og gæstfri, og vi følte os godt behandlet af ejerne. Huset ligger med naboer til begge sider, og den nærmest liggende by, Fontane Bianche, er ikke særlig charmerende, men har da et par minimarkeder, en slagter og et grøntudsalg. Alt i alt dog en virkelig god oplevelse.

The villa was spacious, the host was super friendly, the kitchen was fully stocked (and I mean FULLY), and the view was spectacular. Normally, I try hard to find at least one negative about my experience so readers know that my review is from a real person who had a real experience; however, I really can't find one. Okay, I think I have one negative...I stayed only one week when I should have reserved the villa for at least two! Thank you. //john

Fantastic outside space that easily accommodates a large group. Well equipped kitchen too. Not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity but only 15 minutes from Siracusa, maybe 30 from Noto and an hour from Catania airport so good base for exploring the SE corner of Sicily. Key hand over process worked flawlessly and we were made very welcome.

Great villa by the sea, very quiet and close to Seracusa. The villa lives up to the pictures on the web site. Its breathtaking ! The only drawback is the internet connection, if you really need an internet connection on your holiday you should not choose this villa. otherwise, its a great villa in a wonderful location.

We spent a very enjoyable week in this villa at the end of July (2016). It was just what we wanted. The villa is set in its own mature gardens in a quite up-market part of the town. The back of the villa has three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a big hallway, all air-conditioned. The front, overlooking the sea, has a huge sitting room and well-equipped kitchen. There is a large terrace outside (with comfortable sofas and chairs and a big table for lunch), which is entirely shady except in the early morning and a sunny lower terrace. There is an internal courtyard with various large plants and also another semi-indoors area with a barbecue sink, and a small table to sit at, etc. The front of the villa is not air-conditioned, but most of the time there was a nice breeze coming from the sea. All the rooms have very high ceilings. The villa is beautifully furnished - everywhere you look there are lovely objects. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with a nice informal area to eat. Pots of basil and mint were a very nice touch, as were the ubiquitous pots of beautiful succulents. A path leads down the sea: perhaps 30 metres to the back gate of the villa, then another 30 metres to a really lovely little bay. The coast is all rocky here (I much prefer that to sand, but you have to wear shoes until you get into the water). The swimming and snorkelling is very good. There are almost no flies, but you have to be careful of mosquitos at dusk. Fontane Bianche is a popular (with Italians - we encountered few foreigners) beach resort and the main sandy beach (about a kilometre along the coast) is crowded. There are a couple of small supermarkets and a fruit/vegetable market about 5 minutes' drive from the villa - easily walkable, though it is not an attractive walk by the road in the heat. There is a very large supermarket complex within 15 minutes drive, and you can go to the market in Ortigia (Syracuse). We didn't go to any local restaurants - eating in the villa was so nice. The baroque towns of Noto and Modica are within easy reach, and also the extraordinary gorges of Cassibile and Cava di Ispica; and much more, of course. Vincenza, who owns the villa, was very helpful, coming by car to rescue us when we couldn't find the villa on arrival (I forgot to print out the map). She speaks English. We also met her cousin who (I think) owns the next-door villa (also very nice - looks as if it sleeps 8) whose English is fluent and idiomatic.

The highlight of this villa has to be the great terrace with wonderful views out of the sea. At the bottom of the garden is a gate giving access to the rocky shore and it is easy to get to the sea from an access slip. The villa is comfortably furnished in a traditional style with many interesting local pieces of art. The owner left am excellent selection of bread, fruit and other necessary items that was unexpected and a very useful. The beds were comfortable and the showers, while over the baths, had plenty of hot water. Very quiet and peaceful (apart from the occasional and inevitable gardening in surrounding properties). The motorway is about 10 minutes away and made it easy to get about the East Coast, There are some great places to visit nearby, although Sicilian road signs and tourist information need to be careful interpreted! While there are some mini markets nearby, the bigger supermarkets such as Lidl are to the South in Avola. While the villas is highly recommended, a few points to watch are 1) the internet access was provided by a mobile router which only worked in the evening and then intermittently 2) there are lots of bugs that bite in this part of Sicily. The owner left a basket with a selection of sprays and plug in units that should have puts more on notice especially when we went down to the sea 3) while not advertised, there is a TV but only Italian channels and no DVD.

We loved the house. It is artistically decorated with local pieces, it is romantic but perfect for a family. Our 3 boys loved it, especially the light and space. The view is exquisite and we all enjoyed the patio and the beach below the house. The owner was so welcoming and left South food. Sicily is a heavenly place to go and the area the house is in is gorgeous with so much to do.
