Clean & quiet place, views of the pool and ocean, nice location.

We celebrated my 50th birthday on the big island along with some family that lives on the island. This was a great location to go shopping, dining , and sightseeing. The condo is amazing, very well maintained, and the kitchen is stocked with everything. The view of the ocean from the lanai is gorgeous, my family and I ate breakfast every morning at the table on the lanai which is a wonderful size. The condo is decorated with a serene Hawaiian theme, we would stay here again without a doubt. Bathrooms/showers were more than ample size, linens were great. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen supplies were wonderful. Pool and beach accessories supplied were ample. Communication with owner and property manager was easy. If we could give 10 stars we would give 11! This property will not disappoint.

This condo is fantastic and the owner is an absolute doll. When we arrived, we had kona coffee and chocolates waiting with a welcome note. So kind! We arrived late (after 9pm) that first night though and even though I prepared in advance w/ the owner and it was not her fault, the property's gate was closed (always is), and they didn't have our names down to get in after hours. The gate attendant was there and nice enough to help us get access in. There were other nights where no one was at the gate so I think we lucked out having someone there at night. If you're planning late arrival, it's something to note. The condo was immaculate. Furnished so well, decorated beautifully and FULLY stocked with everything you need during your stay, even a boogie board and beach chairs. Thoughtful! Also a GREAT mattress/bed and a large master shower. Truly roomy space. The view was better than I expected and the location is right by a bbq and pool area, as well as a tennis court. Just an incredible place to stay. Wonderful neighbors for the most part. One parked in our spot our last night and was rude about it and we had to ask them to move. My ONLY real complaint and one that cannot be helped by the owner, so I feel bad mentioning it (I would want to know if I were to rent this place)-- is that the ceiling seemed thin so every night and/or early morning we were woken up by the person upstairs walking around. It sounded like loud and consistent stomping. I wondered what they were doing walking so much. One morning after a bad night's sleep this person woke us all at 5 am also, it was awful. So if you're sensitive to noise, I would rethink this place but if you're from the city- you may not notice and this is the perfect spot for you! Wonderful in every way that could be controlled and we appreciate the aloha! Mahalo!

Everything was perfect during our stay at Kanaloa at Kona. The condo is well maintained and had everything we needed. Great location with beautiful view. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Would recommend this condo to anyone visiting the big island and would stay here again ourselves if we make it back.

We can’t praise this condo enough! The location is fantastic, both in terms of where it is on the island and within the resort, just a few steps from the shore and ocean pool. It is the best equipped condo I have ever stayed in, with literally everything you might need. The owner was really helpful with lists of recommended activities and in regular contact to make sure everything was ok. An amazing home from home for our vacation

This was an incredible get away! I had to be on the island for work and took my husband and son with me! We had an incredible time! I cannot say enough positive things about the owners. They were so kind, easy to communicate with and go above and beyond for their guests! I stay at several VRBOS and this by far was one of my favorites! I highly recommend this place!

We recently enjoyed a week long stay at condo 2602. It was my parents (in their 70's) and my husband and me (in our 40's). We have visited Hawaii many times and in fact have stayed at condos in the Kanoloa complex before. We were all in agreement this is the best condo in the complex! The pictures on the listing are very accurate. Highlights: -view-you can see the ocean view from the kitchen, living room and lanai. We enjoyed the sunset every night! -there are three pools in the complex and the closest one is the water front pool. This is less than 30 steps from the lanai. -This was the only condo we could find with stairs from the lanai. This made it easy to get to the pool and nearby BBQ. -well stocked kitchen-both equipment and staples like flour, sugar, tea, olive oil, vinegar and spices. -closet with ice chest, games and books. -parking lot storage area has snorkel gear, funnoodles, boogie boards. -walk in closets in each bedroom. -good sized bathrooms. -welcome gift from owners (coffee, chocolates and water). -great communication from the owner. -walking distance to Outrigger Hotel (also location of the Ho'Oulu Community Farmers Market on Wednesday from 9am-2pm). -the grounds and facilities at the Kanoloa are very well kept. The only con: -the bedroom with the twin beds is a bit small. Also, would have loved if it had a queen size bed instead. There are a number of Kanoloa condos listed on VRBO but you are not going to find one with a better location and view than this one.

My family and I stayed at Lonna & Mike’s condo for a week and it was honestly the best rental we’ve ever stayed at. They run a very smooth operation and pay close attention to even the littlest details. The condo was immaculate, as the pictures show, and the views were spectacular! I loved waking up early, watching the sunrise, and drinking my coffee on the lanai. Great location as well- short drive to the heart of Kona. Would recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay on the Big Island- we hope to stay again in the future! Also, Lonna is amazing at communication and making sure everything is in order for your upcoming stay. I should probably also add that the kitchen was so well stocked- honestly any spice you could want is available for use, in addition to plenty of olive oil and other cooking essentials. Definitely 5 stars!

We just got back from our Hawaiian trip and our stay at Kanaloa at Kona #2602. The unit itself was amazing with all the comforts of home and even more. It appears the owners take great care in making certain that their guests are truly welcomed. From the well stocked kitchen to the plush bathroom towels, we were not disappointed. There was even a cookbook in the kitchen for those who chose to try new recipes. The owners also kept a closet full of games and books as well as a shed full of beach toys for guests who ventured out to nearby beaches. We were also able to watch the sunsets right from the lanai and they were breathe taking. A word of caution should you choose to stay - do not go grocery shopping until to visit the condo as the owners really stock their kitchen well with lots of spices, oils, vinegars, etc. There is a grocery store that is a few minutes away (by car) should you need anything. The condo was right next to the ocean pool and bbq and the steps from the lanai made it easy to go to the pool (I noticed that not many condos in this resort had steps from the lanai and this was great, especially when returning from the pool for lunch). If you are looking for a perfect place to stay, then this would be the place. 5 stars is underrating this condo. If I could give it a higher rating, I would definitely do so. Thank you Lonna

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The condo was perfect. Lonna and Mike were great hosts and so easy to get ahold of. It is obvious how much attention they pay to this condo and how much effort they put in to making the stay seamless. The condo was well appointed and had everything you could possibly need from kitchen tools to ocean and pool equipment. Beautiful Lanai and views of the ocean. Would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful stay. The condo was well stocked and in a perfect location to explore the big island. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai and the quick walk to the ocean side pool.

Amazing place to stay.

The condo was well managed and you could tell extra effort was made to feel like home. The location was perfect. We woke up each morning and had breakfast on the lanai watching the waves, and ended the day watching the sunset. The pool and ocean are just steps away with a nice trail along the coast. And the host left plenty of beach gear which was a plus. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and everything about this property and listing. The photos and description are accurate, communication is great, help with questions is awesome, and the property is comfortable and clean. Everything went according to plan and the advance communications. The AC works great and you’re next to a pool with a view. We cooked several meals with the great kitchen setup. Beds, pillows and linens are comfortable. We have no constructive feedback for the owner, just appreciation for a great stay!

High end, very comfortable condo. Everything was very nice, comfortable, and clean! Beautiful views every day, especially sunset!!! Golf course right next door. Definitely will recommend, and will go back!

Lovely condo with everything we needed. Kitchen stocked with everything we might need as staples. Location perfect for water and whale viewing and also shopping and wandering! Owner fantastic and responsive. We loved our stay and wish it had been longer.

The condo was beautifully remodeled with comfortable and tasteful furnishings. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the garage storage unit was stocked with items for fun and relaxation. To top it all off, the condo was spotless. The location could not have been better. The pool was close and easily accessible. The sunsets from the lanai were beautiful. You could hear the waves, see whales passing by, and on a few days we even saw some really talented surfers! We booked for next year before we left! That pretty much says it all!!

The condo is in a great location and very nicely furnished with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay there again. It is one of the nicest condos we have stayed at on the Big Island.

This property is even better than it’s listing! The location is perfect, it was extremely clean and you felt as comfortable as if at home. The kitchen had everything you could need. But it was the great communication and the little special touches of the owners that made this stay spectacular. Would recommend to others without hesitation.

From the moment we opened the door to Kanaloa, Kona 2602 we knew that it would be a wonderful Christmas vacation for us. We were prepared in every way with excellent hospitality with e-mails prior to arrival of driving directions and tips for a good vacation. When we arrived a wonderful welcome gift and personal card from the owners was a great surprise. This open concept condo offers wonderful views of the ocean, pool and landscaping just steps from this unit. It was obvious that the owners have recently remodeled with upscale finishes and decor and chef's kitchen. Large bedrooms and baths, step -in showers and a great welcoming book orientating us to the condo and community. The beds are comfortable, amenities provided in the condo (ie: laundry, kitchen appliances, soaps, beach equipment) were so nice to have on hand and in great condition. Literally this is a plug and play condo leaving nothing to need or go and “get” besides your groceries. The view provided a wonderful wake up to our coffees in the morning and wonderful goodnight in the evening for sunset hour. Thank you for an exceptional family week to a place we have never been.

We loved staying in this condo. It was comfortable, well equipped and on a perfect location for us to enjoy and explore the Kona area, especially our favorite snorkeling spots like 2-step and Captain Cook. Lonna was a delight to work with as we prepared for the trip and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. We'd love to come back one day!

I am a repeat vacationer to the condo. Each stay has been a wonderful three week experience which definitely created a 5 star vacation. To begin with the condo is beautifully furnished and maintained, meets all one's needs in the kitchen to prepare a lovely meal, separate dining area lends itself to casual or more formal meals, living area with large screen TV with internet connection throughout, beds/pillows are comfortable, and bathrooms are well stocked with towels and necessities.The lanai overlooking the grounds, ocean pool and the ocean is "my go to place" for morning coffee, relaxing with a book, or watching the beautiful sunsets. There is a selection of games, beach gear, beach towels, books and ice chests. The washer/dryer is a real plus and equipped with laundry needs. Parking is close which is a plus with suitcases and groceries. The grounds of Kanaloa are beautiful and maintained daily as are the three pools and tennis courts. A plus for me was that Kanaloa is grated with an attendant who patrols the grounds. As you can see by the pictures of the condo and Kanaloa, it is situated at the end of a small lovely residential area and the Kona Country Club golf course (open to the public). The Keauhou shopping area is close by with a great grocery store, eateries, Post Office, book store, art galleries, movie theater, hair salon and Urgent Care to mention a few. There is a trolley that takes you into Kona area which is loads of fun. On Saturday, the Farmers Market is a must! The overall location of Keauhou and Kanaloa are south of Kona and the airport, but close to the main highway to link you to the South, North, or East over to Hilo. After a day of golf, or hiking, or going to any of the nearby beaches, or exploring the island on land or on the ocean, it is always such a treat to return to 2602 to relax on the lanai or in the pool or use the common area BBQs for a delicious treat. Just a note, I live at the beach and always have a tan when I go to Kanaloa, but I use sunscreen and watch my time in the sun so as to not ruin my vacation with a sunburn. Your stay at 2602 in Kanaloa at Kona will illustrate the true Aloha spirit.

Lovely property, great location

We cannot say enough about this condo! The view of the ocean, the location, the cleanliness, the welcome gift, the boogie boards/games - it was perfect! We were right next to all three pools and the tennis courts. We could easily go to the pool and come back to the condo for a snack/drink. My husband and our two boys (6 and 8) had the best vacation and this condo was a big part of that. Another favorite was the view from the lanai. We would sit out there and drink coffee in the morning and have a glass of wine while we watched the sunset. We will definitely be back!

This was perfect for our family! Not only was the condo in a great location, it was nicely furnished and had a well equipped kitchen. The owner provided the best customer service we have experienced in any vacation rental.

Great property and great communication from property manager

My family and friends came to the Big Island with the purpose of bringing our parents ashes to scatter at sea. I spent a lot of time researching the perfect place to stay for the week we would be there and absolutely found it! From the initial contact when I inquired about renting #2602 until we arrived home we felt welcomed and cared for. The owners, Lonna and Mike, have thought of every detail to make their guests feel welcome. From the moment we arrived we immediately felt at home. We were welcomed with a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and a bag of Kona blend coffee. The view from the Lani, where we spent most of our time, was beautiful and serene. We loved the close access to the pool too. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare full meals including plenty of storage and a large fridge. With the supermarket in the nearby shopping center, it's easy to buy what you need. The furniture in the living room is very comfortable and the beds are the best, better than mine at home! The condo complex is very quiet at night and very well maintained. I highly recommend a stay in this condo. We have rented a number of vacation rentals over the years and #2602 was by far one of the best!

We spent 6 nights in this gorgeous condo. It was beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings and plush cozy linens. The recent bathroom and kitchen renovations were beautiful. The kitchen was the most well-stocked vacation rental I have ever come across, with everything one might need and all items in mint condition. The lanai was our favorite spot both morning and evening. The labels near all the light/fan/AC switches were very helpful. The common areas and grounds were well maintained. Communication with Lonna was prompt and thorough. If we ever have the pleasure of returning to Hawaii, we will certainly rent this unit again.
