The open plan layout and the flow of the house makes it an entertainer’s dream: we could all be in different places in the living spaces but still see (important for kids) and hear each other. it’s a really beautiful homely place

The house was very comfortable for our family and well equipped for all of our needs. The kitchen is ideal for a big group of people and we really enjoyed the layout for preparing food together. The estate is lovely, boasting with beautiful views of the river. Carol is a wonderful host and very attentive, thank you so much for a great stay! We would come again!

I would just make a suggestion to add a mirror in the two bedrooms that currently don't have mirrors.

The location was stunning! Situated on a the beautiful Vaal de Grace Estate the house overlooked one of the tee boxes on the course. Uninterrupted views of the Vaal River from the outside patio which we enjoyed throughout the day. The house lived up to the photo's barring a few maintenance issues which need attention. The rooms were comfortable and fitted with everything you need to feel like your at home. The kitchen, lounge & dining area had wonderful flow which made it easy to entertain and enjoy the different areas of the house. One of the best features of our stay had to be Carol Ardenhoff, the amazing host / manager. Before we had even arrived, Carol went above & beyond to make our stay memorable.

There we some obvious maintenance issues which were hard to ignore. For such a beautiful house & the premium rate being charged, I would expect more attention to these details. Patio roof needs a good clean. Looking up you can see birds have nested in the eaves which made it a bit of any eye sore. Pool had missing tiles on the rim which apparently is being fixed Door / window latches need attention - some doors were hard to open or didn't open at all. Wifi connection unfortunately wasn't available the entire stay despite numerous efforts from Carol with the service provider it wasn't resolved.

House was exactly what we needed. Beautiful location. Had all the amenities required. Carol was very very helpful and provided excellent service! Would definitely return.

Bits of the house need some TLC. E.g. tiles in pool are broken, some areas need repainting. Second bedroom with ensuite room also could not have fan on without having one of the ceiling lights switched on so we couldn't use the fan at night. Fans in other rooms were also very weak.

The views were amazing. The fire place, the heaters in the room and the electric blankets were especially awesome because of the cold. The house is beautifully decorated and homey. The manager Carol was very helpful.

There were some hiccups when we arrived but the manager sorted them out speedily.

The location is amazing, the estate is really beautiful with some animals roaming around freely. The beds were comfy and the linen was clean . The kitchen is well equipped including big pots and casseroles should you need to cook for a larger family. All in all it was amazing, very peaceful and relaxed and the sky at sunset was just beautiful.

The black slate and cement floors in the bathroom are very dark and the bathroom was not well lit. There were webs and spiders on the high ceilings and I think more effort could be made with cleaning the outside of the house e.g. light fittings and furniture. The benches and table had a lot of webs underneath it.
