Sabina and her partner were kind and gracious hosts! They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even helped my friend with her laundry and getting a taxi before her flight.
The breakfast was also absolutely amazing and most of the items are homemade by Sabina and her partner.
I highly recommend Casa Babilonia and would definitely stay there again in the future.
The only small downside to Casa Babilonia was that we had some difficulty getting taxis and ride shares to pick us up from the location.

The room was comfortable and clean. It was as exactly as shown in the picture. The owners are polite and responded immediately. The breakfast was included in the cost and it was good. There is a terrace where we can sit and relax by seeing the beach from far away.

Everything was amazing! Sabina and Dario were lovely, they were very helpful, gave us many recommendations and made our stay 100% perfect. The house is located in a very safe neighbourhood, very close to the beach and many restaurants/bars. We walked every morning to have a swim in the ocean before breakfast. Sabina homemade bread was the perfect way of starting the day!

breakfast consisted of organic food and freshly pressed juices prepared by owners with fruits and products from their farm. close proximity to beach of Leme - by foot (in sandals) approx. 10 minutes.

Everything was just wonderful about this place; specially how dedicated these women are to make your stay a very special stay; and how much passion they put in making such a delicious breakfast. I strongly recommend this place!

Staff friendly, breakfast good, terrace was nice.
The location was not good. The uber cars did not want to pick up or drop off there. Many times I had to walk up myself or pay extra for a motorbike guy to give me a ride. They were not there at night, so then I walked alone which is not 100% safe.
This is not the hotels fault, but I also had a hard time getting any time in the shared bathroom. There was a french group in the shared bunk bed room and they had their morning routine, afternoon routine and night routine where everyone was going in one after another.

Excellent hosts. Took care of all our needs and had a great view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the Roof top.

The room was spotless clean and the hostel is in a quite area, only 5 minutes away from the Copacabana beach. One highlight was the breakfast: additional to the usual cheese, ham, jam, and juice, they serve freshly baked bread, a lot of fruits, Pancakes, and fried eggs on request. Furthermore, we had salmon occasionally.
The owner family speaks Portuguese, German, and English fluently. All of them were super friendly and very accommodating.
Even though the Casa is in a Favela, don’t worry, it is super safe and we felt more comfortable walking around there than in the city center of Rio.

The staff were friendly and the facility had aircon and was fairly close to Copacabana beach. In addition, the breakfast each morning was bread and meats/cheese that I could make a little sandwich each morning.
The wifi didn't reach my bedroom on the main level, so I had to go to the second floor or roof to get a signal. This was a little inconvenient at times, since I rely heavily on the internet when travelling to contact people and research places during the trip. (The wifi issue likely isn't an issue for bedrooms on the upper levels.) The only other thing that people need to be aware of is the location is on the side of the hill so it can be a 10-15 minute walk up a steep hill (paved road). There are motor bikes that will take you up for like 4 reals I think waiting at the bottom, as some walked and others took rides.
