Lovely well kept hotel set around a beautiful courtyard down a quiet lane only a few mins walk from the charming market and the Mekong promenade, Nong Kha really is a fabulous town. Would have definitely stayed longer had we not had a flight to catch from Udon thani. The staff at Pikul are very helpful and very good English speakers! Dom in particular is a mine of information regarding the town itself, restaurants and surrounding areas etc, I wouldn't hesitate on taking his advice on matters local or matters far & wide.. he is one top fella and enlightened our stay while there!

The Pikul apartments met my expectations , the location was very good only two streets from the main promenade along the Mekong river and a great view of Lao. also the market is directly down the road from the hotel.I did not mine the2 floor walkup and the room was a good size. the Manager is very nice and very friendly and super helpful.

The upkeep on the place needs to be better maintained, my bathroom door handle fell off the first time I opened the toilet door ,also the aircon kept cutting out for some reason , had t restart it until I fell asleep.

Was a quick stop before the visa run into Laos so did not spend a full day there. But I can say it was one of the better places I stayed in during my trip. I think if I did not have my hotel booked in Vientiane i would have gladly stayed there another night or 2. Owner was lovely. Room large and comfortable. Location was fab - just a short walk to the Mekong River promenade where you can find bars and restaurants. Regretted not staying around. Would happily return there!

Extremely dated furniture The hardest bed and pillows I've ever experienced in hundreds of SEA hotels. Most uncomfortable. Kettle in room but no coffee or tea etc Ancient analogue CRT TV - which was unusable due to the parent lock being on.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is on a quiet street and as you walk down the driveway it is welcoming and pretty with many flowering plants. The room was clean and had everything I needed. It was well located between the river and a street with many places to eat.

The mattress and pillows were very firm but I think that is how the locals like it.

Great welcome from Great hosts who made me feel welcome and gave good information of where to go in the area. Location was great for me just a 5 minute walk to the local bars, restaurants or the Riverside. Easy to find with good signage on the main road.

Well situated 3 minutes walk to the river, very quiet. Spatious room, nicely "old-style" equipped. Very clean. Has mosquito nets so that one can leave the balcony door open and one doesn't have to use the air condition (which would be nonsense while sleeping anyway). The very kind owner speaks perfect english and helps with a lot of advice and organizational support as well as his just as kind wife.
