Amazing property and hosts. Fabulous breakfast. The room was lovely with a sea view balcony - book room 2 for the best view! The cosy bar was also brilliant.

Janet and Neill were amazing from the get go, truly make your stay as great as possible by offering advice on the local areas, transport, and even helping us get to the wedding venue. The in house pub was a nice bonus and we loved the chats we had. The entire place was spotless and breakfast was lovely. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area!!

Janet and Neill were brilliant hosts, they were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedroom we stayed in (no3) was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Tea and coffee making facilities available and the en-suite bathroom was also very clean with a double shower cubicle. The choices for a hot breakfast were good and everything was cooked freshly. Yoghurts, cereal, fruit salad, various juices, toast, tea and coffee also available at breakfast. Bonus at this guest house was the free parking, a bar that was just like a pub, a pool room and also an outdoor pool. Poplars was a stones throw from the beach and various shops. Janet and Neill were very knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay here again.

10/10, Janet and Neil are fabulous owners. Poplars is in a great location if your after beautiful cove beaches,We arrived very late as trains were delayed, and even after our late arrival, they welcomed us so warmly and even offered to rustle us up some food as the local pubs' kitchen was closed. I can not stress how clean and warm poplars is. We had a sea view room, and it was beautiful. The breakfasts are very yummy, and Neil's scrambled eggs are perfect. Both Janet and Neil are really nice people, and we're happy to have a conversation when we arrived. If we are ever in the area again or make any plans to go to the Devon area, this will be our go-to place. This place completely exceeded my expectations. Thank you

Really lovely owners accomodating helpful an absolute pleasure to be around. Great location especially for what we needed it was lovely and clean great breakfast in the mornings bed was comfy and great balcony with a lovely view of the sea.

The only thing I would say is the car park there could be hit and miss depending on how many people staying could be blocked in very easily and find yourself searching for people to move their cars etc. Also the TV in our room was very very small.

Location was good, views of sea from balcony room were OK, decor and ambiance down stairs was great and room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, plentiful, and of good quality Jen & Neil were good hosts and very welcoming.

Parking was very limited, no housekeeping at all ( bed wasn't made, tea, coffee, and milk weren't replenished, cups and bathroom left un-cleaned),for the 3 nights we stayed, so we ended up doing this ourselves. For the £120 per night we found this un-acceptable.

The breakfast was outstanding and even my dog had a sausage cooked for her. Such a nice touch. The property was in a great location everything just a few minutes away Hope to return next year and have a swim in the pool.

The room, though small, had a wonderful balcony which in the right weather would be good to sit out on. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit available. The host was friendly.
