Loved this place! The setting and location were so serene - very quiet, awesome view of Delaware bay from the wonderful porch! A few paces to the beach! House was in great shape. Susan was responsive and accommodating. A great place to relax and recharge!!! Can't recommend this place enough!

This house was in a quiet and vary laid back part of the beach. Perfect for relaxing with family.

The house is unique, comfortable and beautiful. The owner is so helpful. The grocery store and restaurants are close. We loved the spectacular sunrises and the spirit-calming water, and we lived on the awesome porch. We hated to leave, but we plan to be back!

We love being right on the beach. The kids lived in the water, we got out kayaking, did successful surf fishing and had 2 smores campfires. Enjoyed biking out at Henlopin State park and in the wildlife refuge just up the street. Make sure to bring field glasses as there are many types of birds. The Short property is well equipped and has a porch that is excellent. Hope to make it 3 years in tow next year!

Fantastic week at this Primehook beach home. My husband and I came with our 2 and 5 year old and our dog. This was the perfect beach for their age because they were fascinated by the nature (there were a few horseshoe crab shells but not too many) and loved the calm shallow water. Beach was quiet and peaceful. It is definitely off the beaten path, but Food Lion in Milton is only about 15 minutes away. We also went into Lewes for dinner a few nights and did a water park/mini golf, plus the boardwalk in Rehoboth (about 35-40 minutes away). We never did get over to the Broadkill beach store, but you can reserve weekend doughnuts and sticky buns on Tuesdays. If you want to rent kayaks to have at the house, Quest Kayaks will only do a weekly rental. For daily or hourly rentals, you can go to their Lewes locations. Only ask for the house would be a towel hook or two on the excellent outdoor shower. We would love to stay again!

The house was very nice and very roomy…. and clean. You just can’t beat the view from the porch. We had a great time with family! We will rent this again!

Fantastic porch!

You cannot beat this location if you are looking for a peaceful retreat. The porch view is amazing!!! You just walk out the back door and you are on the beach with no crowds and plenty of wildlife. Although the house is a bit of 70's time machine it is super cozy and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. All the beds seemed brand new and were very comfortable. All the furniture is also very comfortable. The basement seemed recently renovated and there were new smart TV's in the living room and basement. The layout provides upstairs and downstairs "zones" that give people plenty of space to spread out. The owner was super responsive. Definitely a place I would return to.

the property and community were just what our family needed to get closer with each other and nature. We will be back!

Great location, steps from the beach

We had a pleasant experience renting this property.

We just love Primehook and this house. No busy boardwalks but you can drive to Rehoboth in 30 Minutes. Love the quiet, nature, fires on beach and dog friendly atmosphere. House is spacious , comfortable and makes you feel like you are visiting an old friend. My favorite spot in the sun room at the end of the day reading a book with a glass of wine. Priceless.

Great property, super beach access, large fun enclosed porch. 4 big bdrms. Well equipped kitchen with alot of beach necessities in the shed. Kayaked with the dolphins 60 yds off the beach!

2nd summer vacation spent on the property and we LOVE it. We had a great week.

My family & I had such a great trip. The house was so nice & spacious for us. The views were gorgeous. Being right on the beach was wonderful. Definitely would stay again!

Property fit our needs with plenty of space and very well equipped- quiet beach-

For a shore rental house this was tastefully decorated and we felt right at home. The owners were very welcoming and we had everything we needed. We loved the area and the nearness to the more populated beach areas. We were 3 couples and the house afforded plenty of spaces where we could hang out without being all crowded together. We'll be back!

Our family had a wonderful week. Everything was great! We want to do it again next year. It was the best vacation ever.

Excellent beach house. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a lovely time- plenty of room, space for children and adults to mingle or do their own activities. We all favored the porch, such a pretty, comfortable room with many windows for breezes from the sea! The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want. We loved being right on the beach, such a treat for walks, bird-watching, swimming, exploring. This was just right for our family, a relaxing stay at the end of summer. We hope to come back next year!

Very nice house right on the beach. Interior was clean and beautifully decorated, beachy style, and the enclosed patio was a wonderful addition. Loved the bay water with its gentle waves. Was great for adults and children. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great vacation week at this house. It was plenty big enough for the 10 of us. The location was in a very quiet neighborhood with a great area to take walks through the wildlife refuge or on the beach. The neighbors that I saw were all friendly when we passed by them but not nosy and in your business. The kitchen was very well stocked. The only negative is that there isn’t a washer or dryer but that wouldn’t keep me from staying again.

Quiet, peaceful, secluded, this was a week we will cherish.

Just returned from one of the greatest vacation weekends of our lives in this wonderful beach getaway! You really could not even imagine a better place to enjoy the Delaware shore - the day starts with a sunrise that has to be seen in person to be believed, and ends with the quiet sound of waves gently crashing on the beach right outside the Master bedroom window. In between, we enjoyed a perfect, almost private beach, with great swimming and fishing too! This home was obviously designed, built, and loved by a family that really knows how to enjoy the beach! It has a great vintage beach house feel, was well maintained, VERY clean, and in less than 24 hours we felt like we had been coming there all our lives! There is plenty of room to spread out, and the house has a really neat layout that is fun to explore. Everything inside just feels right and very cozy - especially the front porch, and everything you need to enjoy your stay is right there. The place is so well designed for enjoying the beach that it really almost just plans your day for you! Morning coffee on the porch, lunch on the beach, dinner with friends in the dining room with a great view, a bonfire on the beach at night, and late night cocktails at the bar downstairs. I really just can’t say enough about how perfect this home was! We were one family - Mom and Dad and three kids - 15 (girl), 12 (girl), and 10 (boy) - everyone had a ball, and it was almost heartbreaking to leave. We will be back - Thank You!

We loved it.

Our group of 5 plus an infant stayed here May 26 to June 1. We loved the location! Very private area but very close to anything you could possibly want or need on a vacation! And even on Memorial Day weekend it was still very quiet. The house is ON the beach! Right out the door. Although the home is older, it is very well maintained. We had a problem after a very heavy rain and the owner addressed it quickly. The only negative I have is that we did not realize that laundry facilities were not included. We had a wonderful week here and would return! Thanks!

This house was the perfect place for my family to meet up with my college roommate and her family. Plenty of room, clean, everything we needed to be comfortable, beach right outside the door... We sat on the porch after the kids were in bed and listened to the waves and it was incredibly peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.
