This beautiful Victorian townhouse provides the perfect retreat from tours in our nation’s capital. The home is exactly as advertised and adds to the DC experience. The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need to cook meals. Mornings and evenings were spent at the dining table which was ideal for sharing a meal with the family. The owner provided excellent communication throughout our stay. Our adult children enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. Our son ran in the mornings to the national mall area and our daughter-in-law joined yoga at a nearby studio. We highly recommend the evening national monument private bicycle tour sponsored by unlimited biking. The townhome’s location is ideal for exploring our nation’s capital.

Absolutely perfect & as advertised! Ralph went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the stay. You sense his hospitality the minute you enter the home. The home is clean, has everything needed & is in a great location. We walked to many of the monuments/museums. It was easy to head to a Nationals game. There are great restaurants around, but we also enjoyed a night in of grilling! Thank you!

My family spent 3 very comfortable nights in this home. We loved the location as we could walk to everything. There are many delicious restaurants, markets and pharmacy within walking distance. We loved sitting on the back deck with our morning coffee and evening wine. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining. The beds are incredibly comfortable with crisp linens. Ralph was an exceptional host who responded very quickly to any questions. We look forward to staying here again!

We found great places to eat and shop nearby, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We have lived in DC for 16 years and needed a place to stay for two weeks after we sold our house and before moving overseas. Our two university aged children joined us for a week. All of us loved this house and the neighborhood. The house is a classic old DC townhouse, but it’s recently updated, comfortably furnished, with a well designed kitchen and modern bathrooms. It’s a lot bigger than we expected - the rooms are large with high ceilings and there is a den/office on the second floor that is in addition to the 3 bedrooms/dining room/living room. So plenty of space for a family get-together. We enjoyed the house so much we did a lot of cooking in the big kitchen and watching movies in the office/den. However, the house is a perfect location to enjoy Logan circle area with its range of restaurants and nice shops. Logan Circle is a young, diverse, and vibrant neighborhood so you don’t have to walk far to get a good meal or have drinks. For those of you from out of town visiting DC, the house is an easy walk to the Mall and museums/monuments. While we did not intend to do any sightseeing, we actually did walk down to the National gallery and the museum of African-American History (not to be missed!). We also walked to the Capital One center to see a hockey game. In short, a perfect house on a perfect location to enjoy the sites of DC. Next time we are back in Dc we will definitely rent this place again.

A Home away from Home that gives you the true DC neighborhood experience, far more than staying at a chain hotel. This is a clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and historically respectful home in a beautiful neighborhood - walking distance to much of what you need to see and do. A parking pass was provided so that street parking was worry free. We truly enjoyed our vacation here.

The townhome was an updated version of old D C. It was fun to stay in a period home in such an historic area. The bathrooms and kitchen were very modern, and useable. It was great staying in such a family friendly location.

Had my family come visit DC, and folks stayed at this property. They loved it, and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this property. We wanted to be near enough to DC to be able to quickly get to everything, but didn’t want to stay at a hotel. This house was in great shape, very comfortable, and very effective at absorbing our three kids. Ralph went above and beyond with communication ahead of and during our stay. The neighborhood is safe and has many nearby restaurants, coffee options, and other shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Great AC - on a very warm weekend in DC. Owner was generous and allowed us to check in early and stay a little later which helped us navigate everyone's schedule. We loved this home for our family visit to Washington, DC. There was plenty room for our group of 6. The house is very well equipped, and in a wonderful location with restaurants and Whole Foods within walking distance. We can't wait to go back!

This home is amazing - very clean, comfortable beds, nice linens, and great cooks kitchen. Bathrooms are all remodeled and moldings are beautiful. Nicely renovated old row house in a fun, vibrant neighborhood that has great restaurants and shops all conveniently located to the main sights. Can easily walk to the White House, mall, etc. Would stay here again.

We like renting apartments and houses. You feel like you’re really in a place rather than the insulation of a hotel. Here Whole Foods is four blocks away. The outdoor grill worked great for our rib eyes. Even though they are not en suite, every bedroom has it’s own bathroom. The neiborhood is very trendy. Not very near the Metro but I found I could Lyft to any where on the mall for under $10. For four of us it was cheaper than mass transit. And way faster. The house is nicely decorated. Not the thrift shop stuff you often find in VRBO’s. There is an actual aesthetic. I usually bring my own knife to rentals but forgot this time. Usually rental knives couldn’t cut butter. But here they were actually sharp! Bravo. What you might want to bring or acquire: Bar soap (as opposed to liquid) if you use it, facial tissues if you have allergies, wash cloths if you use them. Other wise it is quite well equipped. Highly recommended.

Good location.

The home exceeded all expectations. We will return here for a longer stay. The place made you want to settle in on the cozy back deck with a glass of wine and just be. But the neighborhood was so alive and full of options we were drawn to 14th Street. Loaded with great food and drinks. So many adventures with a very short walk. Ralph was a gracious and accommodating host. His suggestions were spot on and he made the whole experience easy. If you’re planning a trip to DC this is the place. Perfect to two or three couples. Really enjoyed our stay! The Victorian is very charming with modern conveniences in a great neighborhood. Only blocks to a good selection of restaurants, a Whole Foods, and walking distance to the Mall. Beds are comfortable! Nice sheets and towels. Ralph was great about contacting us mid week when the weather started to heat up to make sure the air was on and we were comfortable! Enjoyed the back deck for a glass of wine in the evening and morning coffee! Was a great spot for meeting our friends and enjoying DC.

The property owner was extremely accommodating! The home is beautiful and furnished with everything you could want. The location is excellent. We could not have been happier.

We felt at home as we crossed the threshold into this beautifully appointed house. The house was spotless and ready to enjoy. One thing that always makes a positive impression is the quality of the linens. The owners get a 5 star rating on linens! Another added plus was the rear deck. Sipping coffee in the early morning outside is always a pleasure. For those of us who enjoy walking we found the house convenient not only to stores and eateries but we also enjoyed walking to the national mall--a little hike but a beautiful way to see the city. And then we Ubered back. Thanks Ralph for being so responsive when we a had question or two. We will certainly try to book this house when we return.

Ralph's home is comfortable, well-appointed, and has all the amenities needed for a great stay. The location is within a few blocks of several restaurants, supermarkets, and shops. Access to home was easy and communication with the host was effortless.

We decided to have a family vacation in DC! Three adult couples all related plus cousins coming to visit from the area. This home was perfect for us. Clean, quiet, and close to everything we needed in DC. The beds were so comfortable! We were able to start the day with a solid breakfast and talk around the dinner table as we planned the days adventure. Close to the metro was a big plus! Ralph was always quick to answer any question I sent to him. We highly recommend this home if you are staying in D.C.!

Truly -- this house is perfect! Every detail of the place is perfect! The location is ideal. The house is lovely! The furnishings are beautiful! The layout is fabulous! There are three bedrooms, which each have their own lovely bathroom - with fabulous showers. There is sufficient privacy for this house to work well for three couples - but we used it for a weekend with our grown children. That worked beautifully! Ralph has furnished the home and the kitchen to make it an incredible house for entertaining! There is a lovely first floor living room and dining room - and a HUGE lovely comfortable 2nd floor TV room. The kitchen is amazing! And, you can't imagine a single thing that you might need that is not in this kitchen! There is lovely outdoor space for morning coffee or a night cap under the stars. Every detail was perfect -- right down to the linens. It was hard to leave! And... Ralph was terrific to work with. He even gave us a call to be sure that we had everything we needed. I can't wait to go back!
