We had a great week in Villa Dimi. It’s a very beautiful and relaxing place with superb outdoor shaded seating and an amazing main living space. A car is definitely needed as the main road nearby is a little busy and it’s good to explore some of the bays nearby, go to Chania or other expeditions etc. We had amazing meals out; the restaurant recommendations were excellent. And there are good shops nearby. We were a group aged 8 to 80 and everyone loved it. Thanks to the wonderful owner for making it so welcoming.

Villa Dimi is a slice of heaven with a backyard oasis. There are endless areas in this home to relax alone and/or with your family. Our family of 8 had an absolute incredible stay in Crete. The home itself is about 25 minutes away from the center of Chania and less than 5 minutes from restaurants and super markets but our kids never wanted to leave! Between the multiple terraces, hammocks, sunbeds, gazebo, etc, there were multiple areas in the home to sit and relax and have fun. The layout, architecture, and art of the home were beautiful. In our 2 weeks of the trip the 3 nights at Villa Dimi were the best sleep we had, the locations of the bedrooms were well spaced apart and the beds were beyond comfortable. Villa Dimi has a daily house cleaner which was great and she answered many questions we had. Prior to our stay all of my emails and questions were answered promptly and they even assisted me by calling a few transportation companies. I would highly recommend Villa Dimi to any friends wanting to stay in Chania!

Our stay at Villa Dimi was perfect. The property was clean, spacious and allowed for everyone to have their own space to relax. Our host, Vasillis, was eager to help. He made reservations for us, provided local information and was always available to assist with our questions. Our family of 7, including 5 adult children, stayed in this beautiful, tranquil space in the early spring of Crete. While the weather wasn't ideal, we enjoyed the spacious common areas, cooking together, drinking the local wine and relishing some quality time together free from 7 busy jobs. And our newly engaged couple, Jack and Colleen. The Villa is fully stocked and complete with thoughtful amenities - from expresso machine to candles and playing cards. It is beautifully decorated without going over the top. The pool area was inviting altho chilly and the hosts were very responsive to our requests. The Villa is in a perfect location if you want to be near but not in the midst of the City of Chania - which offers wonderful food, shopping and sightseeing. There are stunning views everywhere and wonderful (challenging) day hikes to beaches. We loved our time at Villa Dimi and I will recommend the Villa, the host, and the Chania area to any of my friends and family who might be as fortunate as my family to travel there.

Das Haus liegt zwar nicht alleinstehend aber es ist sehr großzügig angelegt und dadurch fühlt man sich wie alleine. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und funktionell. Jeden Tag kommt Angela zum reinigen von Haus und Garten. Das Meer ist nicht weit und es gibt sehr schöne Strände zu erkunden.

The owner was really helpful before and during our stay. She was very accommodating with our travel needs and was there to greet us at the property when we arrived even though it was early. The lady who took care of the property was lovely and even made us a cake. She was very helpful with local knowledge and tips on where to go. the property is beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy. the local beach has amazing sunsets and there are fabulous beaches close by. we loved our holiday here and would recommend for families. we did walk to the beach which took 20/25 minutes although there is no footpath for a lot of the way but it was ok. The local restaurant was ok. rustic but nice enough although there are lots and lots of stray cats. chania was gorgeous and very easy to get to from the villa.

Our family of four including two teenage boys spent a most enjoyable week at the architecturally stunning and conveniently located Villa Dimi in July 2017. Located immediately to the northeast of Chania, set amongst olive groves between two villages and a short drive from several nice beach spots, the Villa is spacious, airy, well appointed with modern appliances, and filled with amenities for the entire family. The salt water swimming pool is set out just beyond a scenic Koi pond, with sun beds and a covered pool terrace with furniture. There are two further principal terraces, one off the living room (perfect for morning coffee) and the other off the chef's kitchen, featuring a large outdoor dining table. The bedrooms and baths are well appointed and comfortable, and there are several flat screened TVs spread throughout the house. The Wi Fi is fast and reliable, and there is a second refrigerator near the washing machine and dryer, perfect for storing cold drinks. The basement game room and outdoor ping pong table provide for additional activities during time spent at home, and the outdoor parking area for two cars is both covered and secure. We also enjoyed the eclectic art collection spread throughout the villa. The bedroom air conditioning units work quietly and efficiently when needed. There are two large supermarkets located a short drive away, along with bakeries, pharmacies, and other shops and tavernas. One word of caution however -- if you are sensitive to noise, the cicadas become quite loud during the afternoon hours! (For me, it would not be Greece in the summer without the sound of cicadas, so I found their hums and buzzes relaxing). Old town Chania is about a 15 minute drive away, and several smaller beaches are quick drive nearby, along with some scenic monasteries which feature some very good wine and olive oil. The owners and staff are very gracious and welcoming, and are always available if needed. Villa Dimi is the perfect spot to base a family vacation in western Crete, and we hope to return one day again in the future.

Beautiful, well designed house, extremely well equipped and looked after by the ever helpful Georgia. Evaggelia was incredibly helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly. We hope to return soon.

We we're so happy with this property. It's situated in a really lovely, local area , hardly saw any tourists in the local restaurants. Beach is very close by and also really nice . We were 2 families who stayed in villa dimi for a week . The garden and outdoor area is amazing , so many different places to relax . The pool area is great , we actually didn't want to leave the house in the day , spent many hours enjoying the pool, where there is a lovely covered seating area , where there is a sound system . The bedrooms were perfect , beds super comfortable , comfy pillows and as the rest of the house ,beautifully decorated . The owner was very helpful with great tips on local restaurants and cafes . We also had a massage in the villa one afternoon . I could go on and on, we felt so well looked after and this is a lovely, magical villa in a lovely part of Greece- we will come back . No one could be disappointed in this place

This place suited all of our needs. Anything that we needed to make our stay was right there. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Daily maid service was certainly a plus. If you are looking for a place to stay in Crete give this one a real close look.

The villa is as described, plenty of room, very well equipped kitchen and full of stylish and tasteful furnishings. We had a delightful family holiday (9 of us) in April 2016. We were lucky with the weather mostly sunny 22 - 27 degrees. Although the pool has heating we didn't need it. The garden is really well equipped with plenty of pool towels and loungers, out door seating and bar-b-q. The villa is stunning with vaulted, bare wood ceiling. Every thought has been taken to make this place a luxurious holiday experience. Evagellia was a most welcoming host and happy to help with recommending restaurants, shops and activities. There is a daily cleaner which was a surprise bonus - Georgia is great and takes every care to ensure the house and garden are kept clean and tidy. The local shop is well stocked and staff very friendly, nearby Koupoudiana has supermarkets, bakery, really good fish mongers and a great taverna called The Four Pigs. Also Irene's Taverna, towards Stavros is a great place for traditional greek food. Local beach is small but fine for swimming. We went diving and snorkelling with Chania Dive Centre, they were great, picked us up from the villa and took us out to more remote areas of sea to snorkel and dive. Overall a very satisfying holiday, we didn't do much exploring the island because the villa was so good. The cretan people are very friendly. Would really recommend Crete and this villa for a relaxing and fun holiday.

We cannot recommend this house and Evaggelia highly enough! From our first contact through to our eventual arrival, Evaggelia was quick and very helpful in her responses. The house is, without doubt, the best rental house we have ever stayed in - we always stay in fairly high-end rentals and do much research beforehand. The house itself is beautifully maintained with very comfortable beds, cotton linens and an abundance of towels, beach towels etc. The air-conditioning (necessary in July/Aug) was efficient and quiet in all of the bedrooms. All of the bathrooms were large with good water pressure. The kitchen was easy to use and had an over-abundance of crockery, cutlery, serving dishes etc. So often a villa that sleeps 8 will have 8 plates etc, but this probably had enough of everything for 30 people. And a small detail but there were glasses for wine, beer, champagne, shots, water and aperitifs - we used them all! There are any number of areas to sit and relax throughout the property - from the small kitchen table to the large dining table: the sunken area with a tv (lovely and cool in the day), the huge terrace that leads off the kitchen with the bbq; a small table hidden away in the shade by the table tennis table; a small arrangement outside of the living room and then of course the wonderful lanai / terrace at the end of the pool. We are a family of 5 and were able to spread ourselves out at will - so many lovely corners to curl up and read a book - whether in the sun or in the shade. The house is kept in perfect condition by the wonderful Georgina who came each morning for 4 hours - 2 hours outside and 2 hours inside. Sheets and linen were changed twice weekly whilst bathrooms, kitchen etc were cleaned daily. She is absolutely lovely and was kind enough to share fresh tomatoes, melons and herbs with us from her garden. A gardener and pool boy also come a couple of times a week but we never saw them.We spent much of our time in the salt-water pool and enjoyed swimming at night with the area well lit by lamps in the garden. Evaggelia also helped us with a couple of restaurant reservations and we can also recommend the pizza place that she recommended; we phoned and they arrived within 15 minutes! One more thing: we used Joanna the massagge lady - wonderful massages in the privacy of the house. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and we hope to be back. Could write more but space has run out! Paradise. That is the first word that comes to mind thinking about our stay in this gorgeous villa. So beautiful, so luxury and so comfortable. The equipment is of great quality and the pool and garden are so beauitiful. And i would like to mention the amazing owner, she makes you so welcome in her incredible villa, no doubt we will return to this small piece of heaven. I truly recommend this villa to anyone.

We have visited Villa Dimi during April this year and we were amazed by the hospitality of Ms Vagelio who was waiting for us with a great smile at all times! The villa is furnished in a stunning way, very elegant and extremely comfortable. The location could not be better and we would recommend villa Dimi with confidence to anyone. We have been going to Crete for many years, stayed in many villas, but when going back to Crete we will definitely stay in Villa Dimi again, as it is without doubt the best accommodation we had! Great location, beautiful and friendly environment, close proximity to several beaches, bars, shops and restaurants, this is the definite WOW to stay in Crete!

If you are visiting Crete treat yourself to this amazing villa. It's been an enjoyable experience. We stayed at this lovely villa 2 adults,2 children for 7 nights. From the start of the booking enquiry the owner was very helpful and informative. We were very happy when we walked into the villa. Definitely one of the best villas we have ever visited, with out a shadow of a doubt. The decor, the rooms are all top class. As we walk through the door, we are home.

My partner and I wanted to visit Crete for a couple of years now after several friends of ours have certified us that is the best that Greece has to offer when it comes to islands. The fact that there are charter flights direct to the island was definitely a plus. After booking the flights we had to look for accommodation. A friend recommended a new place in Kalthas a small village close to Chania in central Crete. This place was called Villa Dimi. Checking the place online you get the impression that has opened very recently and that it follows every standard of luxurious accommodations.But wait till you get there....It is even better!!!! Three hours flight and the owner is waiting to pick us up at the airport. We decided to rent a car but that would have to wait till later on. We got to the villas and after being offered welcome drinks we were shown to our apartment. Spacious,clean,modern and with a touch of design extravaganza.In a few words...Paradise!!! We unpacked and headed to the pool to enjoy the sunshine. I have to admit that if there is a definition for hospitality this place needs to win the gold medal. For the following days we had everything we asked for in a discreet but efficient way. If you want to leave rainy and gloomy London behind for a few days and be somewhere that worths every last penny you should check this place out. Just one thing... If you are not willing to rent a car it will be kind of difficult as it is not very close to the town nearby. Suitable for big group of friends too. Definitely a must-go.

Villa Dimi is a stunning resort which makes you feel like home from the moment you step into it. Beautifully decorated, it balances between modern and classic in a comfort way. My opinion is that the images on the site underestimate both the natural beauty around the house and the architecture of this resort. It was very clean during our stay and mrs evangelia was always willing to satisfy our needs. We were a company of 4 couples and none of us had any complaint either from the villa or from the management. I'd highly recommend it and I wish I can stay there every time I visit chania!! P.s. Although we used to party during our stay, I think it's an ideal private paradise for families and kids!

We have recently come back from a week stay at Villa Dimi and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. If you require a peaceful heaven, then this is the place for you. As soon as we arrived, we were impressed by the hospitality and the warm welcoming of the owner, Ms Vaggelio. The combination of the beautiful setting, the pretty areas to walk around within the property, the modern decoration and the numerous facilities make it irresistible. Even though we try not to return to the same place as there is so much world to see, this is one of our very few exceptions.... We would go back in a heartbeat!
