This place was just wonderful, Nanna is very kind and helpful host, her dog and cats are very friendly too. If I ever go back to Iceland, will definitely book this place again.

Great location, managed to see northern lights right on the doorstep. Spacious and equiped with everything we needed. Great communication throughout the stay! In the mornings we were greeted by a very friendly cat :)

Perfect location for visiting Golden Circkle and South Cost! The guesthouse is located ~1h drive from Reykjavik between Selfoss and Hella just 2-3 min drive from main road. Location is secluded enough to see northern lights yet not too far away from towns. Guesthouse is in rustic style, cozy, warm and very clean. Hosts were nice, welcoming and easy to reach.

The perfect place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the quiet countryside. You even get to visit with their cute cat and dog. It was also the perfect location for our daytrips around the south coast.

The place is just amazing and peaceful. If you want to escape from cities and people, it's just the perfect choice.

Maybe a microwave could be useful but we could manage everything in the kitchen (oven, toaster, water heater, etc.) So it would be just the cherry on the cake :-)

You have everything you need inside the property. The location is perfect for all kind of trips, although you are not in a “big” city but rather on your own.

The location was great. I didn't see the Northern Lights but I'm confident that, when the cloud conditions are right, it would be a great place to see them. Despite being quiet and in an area almost free of light pollution, it's still not too far from the main highway. You may need to drive a good 10-15 minutes for supermarkets, restaurants and so on, but that's not a problem, especially since that's the way you'd be heading when leaving the property for your day trip or returning after a day's exploring. You won't have a problem, so long of course as you have a car. Immensely clean and comfortable. The host, Nanna, was great.

Only thing I'd say is that, especially given how out-of-the-way it is, it would have been nice to find some instant coffee or a couple of teabags, when you check in on a rainy cold night and you're tired after a long day's driving.

We really liked the house. It has everything you need, including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. It is really comfortable and the location is perfect if you really want to see the northen lights as it is in the middle of nowhere. Easy to find if you use maps.me. Prepare yourself to be greeted by a super friendly dog and a purring cat! We loved them ❤

The shower wasn't cleaned at all, which was a shame as the rest of the house seemed cleaned.

Location was a bit difficult to find, but the owner helped us to find it (use maps.me instead of google maps). The sofa-bed was not very confortable

Very nice house, the room is very well equipped and clean, and the hostess is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great. The cabin has everything you need, comfortable bed, hot shower with good pressure, kitchen with oven and even a washing mashine and dryer. The cabin is also very clean and warm. We would definitely come again.

Nanna was very friendly and greeted us even tho we weren't sure of our arrival time, she also made it easy to find the house and communication was great. The house was very clean and everything you could need was available. It was nice and quiet and we could also see the northern lights from the Patio. Would definitely reccomend to stay here and would stay again. Thank you :)

Nothing negative at all!

If you're looking for an isolated location either for the serenity or for getting away from the light pollution (to see the stars or the northern lights), this is the perfect place. Despite this, if you need to run for supplies, Selfoss is just about 10 minute drive away. The cottage was self sufficient, it even has a washing machine and a dryer.
