Elk Haven liegt eingebettet in die Ruhe der Black Hills neben dem lokalen Wildleben. Jede Kabine verfügt über ein Hauptschlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss mit Queensize-Bett. Das Obergeschoss verfügt über einen großen offenen Dachboden mit einem Wandteiler mit einem Queensize-Bett auf jeder Seite für insgesamt 3 Queensize-Betten. Es gibt ein Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss sowie eine Küche / Wohn- / Essbereich. Jede Kabine besteht aus insgesamt 740 m². Jede Kabine hat eine eigene Feuerstelle, einen Grill, eine Terrasse und Picknicktische. Die Küchen verfügen über alle notwendigen Kochutensilien, Geschirr, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Besteck, Kochgeschirr usw. Wir bieten sogar einige ausgewählte Gewürze zum Kochen an. Wir bieten alle Bettwäsche für Betten und Bad.

The cabin and the property were perfect. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, and checked in with us often to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. My husband and I were visiting to ride our bicycles on the Mickelson trail with a group of friends who stayed in nearby hotels. They wished they had known about Elk Haven Cabins because they would have chosen the cabins instead of a hotel room!

Hubby and i stayed in cabin #1 at Elk Haven cabins for a week and found it to be comfortable and clean with all amenities needed. The only thing that would make it absolutely perfect would be laundry facilities, but that was such a small thing for us that it didn't detract at all. There were lots of brochures and info provided on things to see and do.
The full kitchen was handy for making breakfast. We only used the downstairs bedroom, but that bed was comfy and we slept well. it was so quiet and There were so many stars at night, we actually found the Milky Way. we saw lots of deer and wild turkeys along the road, especially around dusk and early in the morning. It was just a lovely place to stay for all our activities.

The cabin was great but I found out at our age we need air conditioning. The fans did not do the job. On days when it was a bit cooler it was quite comfortable. The managers did a terrific job taking care of the cabin and the outside area. The surrounding area was beautiful and a nice distance from Custer. We saw young fawns almost every day. I appreciate the managers for their consideration of their guests.

We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future. Cabin was spacious, clean and if we forgot some thing, the cabin had it waiting for us to use it. Pet friendly was a bonus and will suggest it to others!

This cabin was so centrally located to everything. Tucked away not far off the main road, but far enough that we were able to enjoy nature. Very relaxing and plenty of great hiking and lakes to enjoy.

Just outside the city of Custer, we were able to get in all Black Hills attractions. The property is centrally located in the Black Hills. Had great host, that made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend a 4-6 day stay

The cabin itself was clean and well equipped. We left after the first night. No A/C and barking dog next door. 90+ degrees is too hot to leave an animal in a rental with no A/C. The listing description should include heat only, not just heat under amenities. Ended up spending more money to leave and stay at the Holiday Inn.

Great location. It served as our home base as we spent the days site seeing. Cabin was clean and it is off the main road, which is nice, but also only minutes away from Custer. The owners check in with you to make sure you have everything you need, which I thought was really awesome!

Very easy check in. Owners very responsive to bringing extra toilet paper when needed. The road off the main road is bumpy, but you just go slow. Quiet place in woods.

Bare Minimum!
This property was clean but very uncomfortable.
We Booked a six-night stay to visit the nearby sites and come back a relax at the cabin which was very uncomfortable. They did not provide enough towels for our stay. We left a day early because their was no point staying any longer.

Amazing all around!
It snowed the first full day there and it was amazing!! The owner brought games and snow sleds to us so that we had stuff to do. The whole experience was amazing!

Peaceful
The cabin was everything we needed! It was quiet and peaceful and a nice big yard to take the dogs out. We hiked and enjoyed the beautiful Black Hills.
The owners of the cabin were exceptionally accommodating! We will definitely be back!

Home Away From Home
My husband, my father, and I stayed here for our annual trip to the Black Hills. This was our third time staying here and this time we brought our black lab puppy and the cabin was very dog friendly. The hosts are very responsive, friendly, and eager to help if needed. The cabin is always clean and well stocked with the essentials plus some. WiFi works great, too. Can’t wait to be back next year, or sooner!

Black Hills adventure
It was a great cabin! Loved climbing the mountain behind us and gather wood for our fires. So close and convenient to all the attractions. Very comfortable and was perfect for out group!
