Very quiet location, except the airplanes noise.. But it is still very nice to see airplanes so close. Food is very delicious. Room is big and modern. Nice pools and gardens. Mosquitos free. Taxi station very close. Very nice staff. 5 mins to the beach. Sandy beach.

The fact that the beach is closed between sunset and 7 am. Hair dryer is not very good. No private hotel beach on Kalamaki beach.10 euros 2 sunbeds.

Food. If you stayed in the hotel without meal options, specially Dinner, you have missed quite an experience. They server super delicious foods in different theme every night. Breakfast is sufficient and great too. Their stuff are super friendly, highly caring and attentive. My toddler girl ended up making her first sister abroad with one of the stuffs, such was their engagement. Location was great too, 5 mins walk to beach or any shop, 7-8 mins to any shop. 8 mins drive from airport. The room wasn’t the biggest, but exactly as described with all facilities. They also provide room service every day.

The splash pool was great, but the water temperature could be warmer to suit the babies. That’s a minor issue though as there were other options for baby too.

From the very first day I had a feeling like im at home. Every single person from the staff was very friendly and helpful, food was absolutely amazing. Every day different kind of food, absolutely 5*. Kids keep asking me when we could come back to Marelen hotel and this is the most important for me. My kids enjoyed the stay in your hotel and looking forward to go back there. Thank you

I liked the location of the hotel, very close to Kalamaki beach, but some distance from the best restaurants on the main Kalamaki street, a small minus. The breakfast and dinner service staff was very professional and nice, I give it the biggest plus! The room itself was not very big, but for two people it was big enough, I wouldn't recommend it for a family with a child or for three people. A big plus for the balcony in the room and for the atmosphere of the place as a small resort with a separate swimming pool for adults and a zone for children located elsewhere. A big plus for the chef's professional approach to my food allergy, the entire staff was notified about it and they told me what to eat and what not to eat every day.

We decided to extend our stay at the hotel for two nights so that we would not have to pack up and move to another hotel. It turned out that we still had to pack and move to another room. The room we were given was worse than ours, with a smaller bathroom and not very clean, I found hair on the desk. If we had known that we had to pack anyway, we would probably decide to change the hotel. We also wanted to use the laundry service, we were informed that 5 kg of laundry was € 20, we had a travel weight so we gave exactly 5 kg to the washing. Then it turned out that it was supposed to be 5 kg of wet laundry and that we also delivered mixed white and color, so we were already making 40 euros for one laundry bag, we didn't use the service. In the village of Kalamaki for 12 euro you can use the laundry on your own. Unfortunately, a big minus for the very average food, for a 4 star hotel I would expect much better food. At the end, we decided to extend our stay by another two nights and decided to change the hotel, we spent it in a 5 star hotel with delicious food, the price of which was the same as the Marelen hotel.

Very noisy if staying with kids due to airport near by. Might wake up everyone in the middle of the night. Choice of taverns around was not great and if looki g for a better quality restaurants, need to take a 10 minute walk on a busy road.

- Staffs were friendly, the hotel was close to the beach - Covid measure at the buffet was well done

- There was no screen window and we don't like AC. We left the window opened and were suffering from mosquitos every night - Food was not good, there was even hair in my food - hotel towels are old, they should be renewed - Toilet keeps dripping water after flushing, it takes luck to avoid that, and it keeps me up all night - Wifi was extremely slow or not working

Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Knew everywhere and everything which was amazing as my knowledge was minimal.

It’s under the flight path for the airport buts it’s a tiny island, close the doors and you can barely hear a thing.

Had a small bathroom difficult to reach the shower as you had to close the bathroom door to reach the shower would have liked occasional evening entertainment.

Front desk staffs weren't helpful with information needed such as dining recommendations, activities, rental and things to do in the island.

Good location, within walking distance to Kalamaki Beach. Nice grounds and pool areas. Furniture in the room in good shape, sturdy bunk bed. Good size terrace. Free parking(few slots in the courtyard, but you can find plenty on the street). Quick check-in/check-out. Good cleaning service in the room. It's close to the airport, I was afraid the sound of the planes would disturb us, but it was not the case, we even enjoyed seeing the planes so close.

We've booked 2 superior family rooms for 2 weeks, each for 2 adults and 2 children with Half Board. The room is quite small for 4 people with the smallest bathroom I've seen in a 4* hotel(I wonder how they got the 4* rating). You have to squeeze between the the sink & shower screen in order to close the door and get to the toilet, very uncomfortable. If your kid is on the toilet and needs assistance, you're basically heating him with the door on his head in order to get to him .(see the attached photos) Breakfast & Dinner Bouffe: Due to Covid prevention regulations, you don't help yourself at the Bouffe, you just go around and tell the staff what you want and they put it on your plate. Which would be great, if they weren't always picking the smallest/torn/starting to get bad( especially for fruits & vegetables) pieces/ slices, exactly what you would never choose for yourself or your kids. If you want 3 or 4 slices of a fruit, they never seem to understand and always put just 2 slices and you have to ask for one/two more. Asking for a different or extra slice of fruit/vegetable was always encountered with a frown. Interestingly enough, the same staff understood 3/4 beers/milkshakes perfectly when you order lunch(and pay) at the pool bar. We've had fruit and carrots gone bad and fruit tasting like onions (I assume they cut the fruit with the same knife they previously used for cutting the onions) Due to the bad service at the bouffe, we preferred to eat most of the dinners at restaurants nearby, even if we've already paid for dinner at the hotel. Children's pool is only open for 4 hours, between 12:00 and 16:00, right when you would want to keep your kids away from the sun (no shade). Women's pool side toilet was out of order for two weeks, so we had to use the men's one, or go all the way to our room.

Good and taken care facilities, the basketball court was a plus for us. The thematic dinners were good.

We stayed 10 nights, so at the end the breakfast was a little repetitive. Also the pool schedule was not great from 10 to 19 hrs and the kids water centre from 12 to 16 hours.

We had a halfboard, great variety of food, very good quality. Excellent location, near Kalamaki beach, and near to the centre of Kalamaki with shops and restaurants.

The location, close to the beach, the facilities: pools, water park, restaurant and bar, the staff was ready to help at all times.

The way food was served, triggered by covid rules. It was something unconfortable.

The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful! The food is simply amazing! The swimming pools are marvellous! Just less than 5 min walking to the beach. Clean and very comfortable.
