Perfect location, fabulous apartment - highly recommend. (Be aware if visiting in summer, as stated in the listing, has fans rather than a/c.) Suited our family of 5 perfectly!

Just the most amazing location. Close to everything and easy to walk in each direction. If you want the view of the lake, this apartment has it. We would happily stay here again.

It was our first time at Lake Como. The lake is beautiful, and Varenna was our favorite village on the lake. This property has some great views over the lake. The apartment was clean and in good condition. There are beds to sleep 6, but the third bedroom is only accessible through the second bedroom. There is also not much of a living area. But we spent most of our time outside in awe of the lake and doing some hiking in the area (the hike up to the castle and paying a small fee to get in is worth it for the views). We ate at Cafe Varenna, La Vista, and Bar Il Molo. All of them were fantastic. We had a small issue with the keys at check in, but they were available for communication and did what they could to help resolve.

Loved our stay in this comfortable apartment. Walking distance to some beautiful eateries, ferry and train station. There are stairs within the apartment and inside the apartment, but they are worth it for the view

Clean and conveniently located property. The communication with the owner was great and the property was easy to find/access. The views were incredible. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Our family recently visited (2 adults + 3 Adult kids) and had the greatest time! The house was beautiful and looks exactly as described. We saw an amazing sunset from the balcony and it is the perfect location to walk down to the waterfront. One thing to note is if we had realized the amount of steps from the train station we probably would have taken a taxi but everyone (including 60 year olds) made it and the steps to the top floor apartment are totally worth the views!

My husband and I were married in Varenna 7 years ago. We’ve been back 5 times and always stayed in the same hotel. This time we took some friends and decided to book this VRBO. I thought the single bathroom might be our biggest challenge but it was fine. I will, however begin this review with the ONLY negative so that it is helpful to anyone with cardiac issues....this apartment is on the top floor (4 flights of stairs) and there are no elevators Once you get into the apartment, you have to climb another set of stairs to the bedrooms. One of the people traveling with us had difficulty that almost caused us to change locations but she made it up slowly each time. Ironically, The BEST thing about the place is that it’s on the top floor.. We would sit out on the balcony and watch the sun go down while listening to all the conversation and music of Varenna. It’s like you see in the movies. Luciana was very accessible and helpful. We love Varenna❤️

We stayed for 2 nights for a local wedding. The location was perfect and views from the terrace beautiful. We had great communication with Lucinda before the stay and would really recommend.

This was wonderful little gem on the water in Varenna. Spectacular views. Very clean and modern . Wish we stayed longer. The only draw back for me personally was the fact that there is no air conditioning . Fans were provided however I didn’t find them adequate for comfortable sleeping . Everything else was top notch!

We had an amazing time in Varenna and the apartment was perfect. We were close to great restaurants and there is a little shop very close for all of the basics. The views and balconies were our favorite at this property... incredible!

We were thrilled with our visit and only wish we'd booked a longer stay. Varenna is a beautiful little village with delicious food, historic castle remains, and fantastic hiking opportunities. The apartment was perfect with plenty of space for our family of 5 (all 3 children are young adults now). We had room to play games and relax and plenty of sleeping space. Our room had a divine view of the lake and mountains, which we greatly enjoyed morning and night. In the evenings, we could open the windows and catch a jazz band that was playing in the square and we awoke each morning to the birds singing and the old church bell in the square. Practical matters: We appreciated the hairdryer, the dishwasher, the excellent bathroom and the fans. My kids note that the wifi worked great downstairs, but was weak upstairs. There's no elevator, which we didn't mind, but since you'll need to walk up a few flights of stairs, it may not be right for everyone. Also you should buy groceries before you arrive, because although there's a little bodega across the alley, its offerings are very limited (and cash only) and the closest supermarket is in the next town. A great variety of tasty restaurants within walking distance though, so you can always eat out. We drove from Switzerland, and found free parking nearby (we left the car parked there for our whole stay). Recommend walking to the Fiummelatte (one of the world's shortest rivers), the Baluardo, and the castle. The gardens were also quite lovely in June. Great jumping off point for taking the ferry to Bellagio or other nearby towns.

Very lovely and spacious. The apartment has a fabulous view of the lake and convenient location to restaurants, shopping, and the lakefront. No clothes washing machine as listed in the description.

Lovely apartment with beautiful views! I was looking forward to doing laundry here and was disappointed to find out that the “washing machine” listed in the features was a dish washer. I really enjoyed staying in Varenna as I find Bellagio too touristy.

Pro: great location, amazing views Cons: one bathroom, number of steps to reach the apartment with luggage, small things/ amenities that could have made the stay better (like shower gel in bathroom, kitchen towel rolls, good coffee machine, extra towels, curtains in bedroom etc.)

Location was great. About a 10 min walk from the train station and ferry dock. Great views if the lake. Easy in and easy out.

This is the second time staying at the apartment and as usual Luciana and Irene live up to being great hosts and available. The apartment is clean and in good repair, not to mention modern. It is really a perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas and has the “post card” view.

The other reviews are accurate. The apartment is modern, neat and has two small balconies with great views of the lake. I preferred to sit and watch the sunset from our place versus the very nice café directly down the stairs. Bonus, a small bodega is steps away where you can purchase a bottle of wine. Luciana was responsive to initial emails and picked up my call when I could not find the apartment. I should paid better attention to the comments about finding the apartment because it was easy to find. She also promptly remedied a small glitch. :-) We preferred Varenna over Belagio and Menaggio and glad we stayed here. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area. A few extra pillows and another couch would be great along with a small supply of coffee. Highly recommend… Thank you!

Once we located the condo we loved the location and view which was exactly as described. We learned that the street names are carved into the side of the building which made it a bit difficult to locate. A local resident helped us find the condo:) Luciana was the perfect hostess in that I contacted her about a light being out in the bathroom and true to her word she had t replace the next day. I would highly recommend this property!!! We loved our stay there but be aware that there are a lot of steps to reach your destination from Lake Como!!!

We absolutely loved our stay in Beautiful Lake Como. Our view from the apartment was breath taking. The view I woke up to out my bedroom window was one I wished I could have taken with me! Everything was just perfect. My daughters and I only have one complaint.... Why didn't we stay Longer!

The views from the apartment are stunning. The apartment was very modern and it was very comfortable for 6 of us- my husband & I and our 4 teenage boys. Great location in Varenna. You can walk everywhere including the train station. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

Great vacation rental. We loved it. on the safe where the keys are- maybe let us know that we need to wait a few seconds to open it after putting in the code. There was another couple that had the same issue we had. Thanks!

Luci was very helpful with directions, and prompt responses. The apartment was as described, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view and location! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
