My friends and I booked this house at the last minute to do a little weekend getaway for one of their birthdays. It was so perfect! Right on the beach, great location!

This house was absolutely perfect! Cindy was wonderful and communicated quickly each time I reached out prior to our stay. She was even able to let us easily extend our trip by a day when we weren’t ready to leave yet! The house was clean, well kept, and decorated beautifully. The porch was perfect and we loved relaxing on the swing and even got to see some dolphins in the morning! The beach access was the reason we chose the place - it was such a simple walk to get to and from the house to the water and there was even a private little sandy area with Adirondack’s set up for relaxing in the mornings and evenings. The beach was never crowded, and we could easily walk to duck donuts in the morning! The only thing we didn’t realize before booking was that there wasn’t a bathtub, which could be a little tough for someone with a little one, but it was entertaining teaching our 4 year old to take a shower and it went great! We highly, highly recommend this home and these hosts!! Thank you Cindy and Dave!

It was the most gorgeous home with beachfront perfection! Great view of eager surfers and quick back and forth to the house as you enjoy the ocean! Highly recommend!

We chose this property because of its proximity to the beach, the remodeling and refitting of the property, and the cost. We were incredibly satisfied with our choice, as it fit our family of 6’s needs perfectly. The walk to the beach was easier here than nearly every other property we viewed. The covered porch, furniture, and porch swings were idyllic. We never ate out at restaurants because the kitchen was robust enough to handle whatever we wanted to make and reheat, and I couldn’t find a better table in town than the picnic table on the deck overlooking the waves and the beach at the end of the day. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were responsive and clear with directions for staying at the property. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Vacation - Thank you Cindy & Dave
This was our first visit to OBX and it lived up to all expectations. After hours of driving it was a relief to hear our GPS that we were 5 minutes away from our to our destination. Just about a 5 minute drive once over the OBX bridge. We were VRBO first timers and a bit concerned as this was uncharted waters for us. However, we were very impressed with Cindy & Dave's home. And I use the word "home" as it felt like home. Extremely comfortable with all the comforts of home (appliances, kitchen utensils, candles and so much more.) The pics / photos are spot on. Decor very nicely done! BTW, the porch swing was a hit. Especially at the end of the day, swinging to the summer breeze.
Another plus is the location, ocean front ! With 30 steps to the beach, it doesn't get better than this. My only recommendation would be to have handy a guide or instructions for the TVs. This would be very helpful as they all worked differently with numerous remotes. In addition, we could not get the one bedroom TV to work at all. Besides this one issue, our vacation was a five star our of five! Thank you so much and we will be rebooking in the future :)

Can’t get any closer to the beach!
Our family had a great time staying in this property. We had one minor issue with the front door lock and owner promptly came and replaced it himself. He even let my 8 year old son help and patiently showed him how to do it. Would stay here again anytime!

Summer Vacation
Great location - right on the beach, but be prepared to bring everything with you (TP, napkins, soap, salt, etc.). Owners provide bare bones and quality of what's available is in terrible condition (every pan is thoroughly scratched - unusable, no basic kitchen tools, etc). It was our first time in the area and owners didn't check in to see if we needed anything or offer up any recommendations, which was disappointing. If you don't plan to cook and just want to a beach front home in a convenient location, then this is the place for you.

Excellent location right on the beach
Our family had a great time relaxing at the house and visiting the beach that is right outside. The back patio was great to sit and watch the waves. The house was very clean. A minor issue was taken care of immedietely. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect Beach Getaway!
This house is a GEM! Right on the beach, beautifully renovated and furnished, perfect distance between Duck and Nags Head. This is a wonderful place for small families - we had 5 in our party. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, and it is air conditioned. Best of all, the view was stunning, and the beach was steps away. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Will definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful beachfront cottage in Kitty Hawk. It gave us a front row seat to some beautiful sunsets. Recommend highly!

Perfect getaway
What a gem, tucked away along highway 12. We slept with the windows open and we’re soothed by the ocean waves. With the wear and tear of beach houses, this home is was very clean and well maintained for its age. great for a small family or couples retreat.

Exceeded expectations!
This was a fantastic weekend get-away to celebrate our birthdays. The house was exactly as pictured, so charming. Clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The location was central to all of the things we wanted to see and do. Would definitely recommend this rental to others looking for a lovely cottage on the beach and we would stay there again for sure.

Beach at your fingertips
The beach was literally just outside the door in this quaint and beautifully updated house. Lots of storage for your stuff, comfortable beds and clean well-stocked kitchen. Porch swing was broken but the homeowners fixed it expeditiously. We’ll definitely come back!

Great location but we had a few problems. No toilet paper or any paper products and many lights did not work outside.No water pressure in master shower and other shower leaked. Beach and decor were fabulous. A little more attention to detail and it would be a 5.

So Relaxing
What an amazing property! There is nothing like being on the water whether you are inside the house (wall of windows) or outside on he deck(right on the sand). This was a perfect break from this year of 2020! If we are back to the OBX, we will absolutely check here for availability first! Thank you Dave for everything!!

Location was only positive. property owner needs to keep up with property maintenance at these prices. Owner did try to solve some problems but bad impression was already made.Wife was pissed.

Great location but we had a few problems. No toilet paper or any paper products and many lights did not work outside.

Family Beach Trip

LOVE The Oceanfront Oasis!
This was our second year staying at Oceanfront Oasis and we love everything about this house! The location is awesome, so convenient and super easy to get on and off the island. In years past, we have stayed up north in Duck and Corolla, and just traveling the beach road can add an hour onto our trip. Also, this house sits directly on the beach, so the views are spectacular! Cindy and Dave have done major renovations to the interior, so it's all updated, pretty and cozy. The hammock swing on the back deck might just be the best seat in the house!!

Absolutely Amazing!
It doesn’t get any better than this beach cottage. Even better than the pictures. You’re literally on the beach. Three steps down. The lifeguard stand is nearby, which also made me feel better. We lived on the back deck and of course on the beach. I recommend ordering groceries to be delivered from Publix. The beds were super comfy:)

Wonderful winter escape
This is our 2nd time at this home and we love it every time. Being right in the beach in such an adorable beach cottage is the perfect way to escape the DC winter hustle. The house is fully stocked in the kitchen, has extra blankets and is always clean.

Something Out Of House Beautiful
Sometimes rental listings can be a bit deceiving due to camera angle or furniture placement. Not the case with this home. It was absolutely stunning and the view from the deck was incomparable. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic place to stay!
This wonderful oceanfront house was perfect for us. It’s been beautifully updated, nicely decorated, and well stocked. It was so relaxing to sit on the covered outdoor deck watching sunrises, ocean waves, or shimmering moonlight. Inside, the living space felt comfortable and spacious. The location can’t be beat. We felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle, and yet restaurants and shopping were close by. The owners were so nice to work with and very responsive. We intend to return next year!
