Generously appointed large home, with open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with table for up to 8. Well-appointed kitchen with large fridge and 900 wide oven and huge laundry. Ample ‘everything’ ie plates, glasses, platters for Christmas lunch for 7. Master bedroom with separate deck and gorgeous ensuite including bath with a view to the garden. Other bedrooms are at the other end of the house with shared bathroom, walk in shower. Beds were comfy with good linen and pillows. All bedrooms have TVs and seating space and there are games, DVDs and quality magazines. The house has a lovely vibe – quiet aircon, openable windows with flyscreens, blinds for shade. The deck overlooks the garden, BBQ and bush area. The garden is not fenced on all sides but a delightful place to wander with various areas to sit and observe the abundant bird life. The garden is very well cared for, as is the house. Neighbours were quiet, including kangaroos which came by most mornings. Quiet and convenient location, several options for walks to the town and a lot of interesting areas to explore nearby. Enjoyed free swims at the Daylesford pool, walks to the springs or up to Harry’s for coffee. Communication with our host was excellent and we appreciated the extra Christmas touches around the house, which made our stay more festive. Would highly recommend esp if you enjoy cooking and dining in, sleeping and staying put, but also a great base for the areas attractions. NB there are steps up and down within the house ie between the entry>to lounge> kitchen and that might be an issue for elders with poor mobility or little ones. Dogs need to be quiet and restrained so as to not disturb the wildlife.

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous, large and warm home! The property is stunning - literally kangaroos and even nightly visits from the local kookaburras. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and the ensuite large and lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. Great open-plan living area. Lovely aspect from all windows overlooking the nearby bushland and plenty of wildlife. Warm and cozy considering it was winter!

Me and a group of friends had a wonderful stay. The house has everything you need. The central heating was toasty warm, great loUnge area, open plan and beds were super comfortable. Host was particularly helpful and responsive when we had a issue with a door and got the handyman straight out to resolve. I can’t rate this house highly enough as it is perfect. We will be back.

We had a great stay in Hepburn at the Deckhaus. We had everything we needed and the house was perfect for a relaxing break. The house was comfortable, warm and in a great spot. We would definitely recommend the Deckhaus.

Clean and well equipped house in a quiet location

What an amazing home, probably the biggest we have stayed at. Well equipped with just about all that you need for a comfortable stay. Kangaroos as our neighbours was a nice bonus too. A little far to walk to anywhere, but if you have a car, it’s not an issue as it’s close to many local attractions.

I enjoyed a special birthday gathering with my daughter visiting from London and my son. The house was wonderful for this occasion, the rooms are expansive and very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped for family cooking and the gardens/decks and wildlife were a lovely reminder of their childhood together. I highly recommend this property and thank you for the wonderful memories.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Deckhaus. Everything about the house was generous and we delighted in the house setting and all the wildlife. We couldn’t recommend it more.

I stayed with my family at this property which included 3 generations age-range and pets. We all had an absolutely wonderful time and couldn’t have stayed at a better place! The photos do not do it justice!! The property and garden are beautiful and very well maintained. The house is well stocked with all everything you need, great for both summer and winter. We have nothing bad to say :)

We had a very comfortable stay and found the property to have everything we needed and lots of space for our multi-generational family to getaway in comfort. Was also able to extend on short notice. Kangaroos morning and night were a highlight. Only thing that could have made it perfect would have been inclusion of some essential items for a baby like cot and high chair.

A beautiful mid century style house with floor to ceiling windows giving lots of natural light and great connection to the environment. Comfortable furniture and beds, well heated, and good separation for the bedrooms. An attractive 5 to 10 minute walk to cafes made the morning dog walk a pleasure!

We loved staying at the Deckhaus. Such a beautiful large home that catered for all our family (6 adults). We would definitely come back and stay again. Our only concern was the lack of fencing. When booking I did read that it was open for wildlife, however we didn't realise (until arriving) the close proximity of neighbours and just how open it really was. This made it difficult as we couldn't have them outside without constant monitoring. Unfortunately, although the home is 'dog friendly' we would not bring our pets back again for safety concerns. The Deckhaus was a fantastic place to stay. The house was a great size for a family of 6 (+ dog), very clean and boasted a lovely garden

The property was as advertised and very well equipped. Ideal for up to three couples or families. We took a star off because we had to call the manager to replace 8 globes that were out. To her credit, this was done quickly. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.

Large and spacious home with kangaroos and birds everywhere. The host was super flexible and loads of info was provided in the home about local attractions and things to do.
