Peaceful good location
It was as described rustic
4.1
Lovely setting. Quirky, intersing cottage. Very comfortable ... just loved it.
There was nothing negative at all.
4.1
Pretty little cottage
The stairs are very awkward for older folk, and this should be made clear on the website before you book. There was very little information about where to go and what to do in the area. Instructions for appliances quite minimal.
4.1
Location very quiet easy parking
Stairs and uncomfortable bed

lovely location, lovely quirky cottage
4.1
The location was quiet
No warning on ceiling height I kept bumping my head. Stairs very steep and impossible for anyone with mobility issues, decor depressing. Furnishings tired. None of this was mentioned in the offer and we were therefore lured into booking, black mark for Booking.com We could not underatand the high overall review rating.
4.1
Location and charm. Very comfy beds
Lovely to have a bead oven to make pizza and the instructions and ingredients.
However when travelling with a child a microwave is handy for reheating when been out all day.
4.1
Fabulous little cottage, quirky and snug.

Rural location. Lovely old cottage. Nicely decorated. Lovely to be able to take dogs. Enclosed garden, in front and behind cottage. Pizza oven. Good communication with owner. Peaceful.
Towels or paper towels in toilet to dry hands. Map of walks was not very clear. Light needed at the back of the cottage for the times when you arrive in the dark.
4.1
This Grade II listed cottage takes quirkiness to a whole new level, and it has been sympathetically modernised and decorated so that it retains its historic features. The highlight is the pizza oven, and it's a lovely touch that the owner provides the ingredients and equipment to make pizza dough, as well as instructions. Just allow yourself sufficient time to prep the dough and heat the oven if this is your first experience of making wood-fired pizza - it's well worth the effort and huge (if messy) fun for the whole family. The kitchen is well equipped with the sort of things that many self-catering properties lack (sharp knives, chopping boards and a colander to drain pasta and rice), and the fridge, stove and oven are all good. There's a table and chairs outside, so you can dine al fresco if the weather's nice - sadly it was a bit too chilly when we visited. The fact that it's dog friendly is a real bonus.
The second bed - whilst charming and (according to our daughter) exceptionally comfortable - is only suitable for one adult or two younger children.
My only real gripe is that you need to bring your own bathroom towels, which means that you then have to transport wet towels at the end of your stay. We stay at a lot of self catering places, and it's increasingly uncommon for this to be required, so I suggest that the host should consider providing towels. Similarly, it would be timely to review the COVID requirements that have been implemented, particularly the decision not to provide milk or biscuits. I'm sure that this was a wise decision a few months ago, but all of the other self-catering accommodation we've stayed in over the last few months has provided milk.
Someone else has mentioned that the kitchen would benefit from having a microwave, as it's always a great help when you need to heat up a pre prepared meal at the end of a long day. However, this is just a 'nice to have'.

Old, quant and quirky.
Shower and walk directions were poor
4.1
The quirkiness and character of the cottage. Wood burner. Comfy beds. Obliging owner. Lots of walks around.
We had a lovely time. The only thing that could be clearer is that the second bed is more suitable for small child(ren) rather than an adult as it's in an alcove, not a room.
