This well-built house is just what we needed for our time on the beach. The beds were comfortable and we had so much space for everyone. The only draw backs were that the pool did not seem to be circulating. This caused dirt and debris to lay on top, however the heater and jets worked well. Also, it had a lot of steps so be careful if you need it to be accessible. If you have a large family, renting this house would be so much fun for all!

This large, luxurious, well-supplied house was perfect for our group of 8 plus 2 dogs. We called maintenance for a few minor items the first day and the technician responded rapidly, was very courteous, and resolved all of our issues. The hot tub controls are on the wall inside the 1st floor bedroom and we couldn't find them. Once located, the pool & hot tub were delightful. The master bath was really over the top; beautiful and the height of luxury. All of the rooms were large and spacious. There were plenty of towels ( except for beach towels; we were advised to bring our own) and kitchen and bath supplies. The closet on the ground floor was packed full of beach needs; chairs, 6+ boogie boards, beach toys, and even a badminton set. I wouldn't have hauled our beach stuff down had I known how well stocked they were! There are 2 full sized refrigerator / freezers and a large wine cooler. The gas range had an issue with the igniter constantly clicking, but it functioned well and hopefully, by the time you read this, it has been fixed. Some of the window shade pulls needed to be replaced, but again, this was a minor inconvenience and may already be fixed. A large, absorbent mat inside the front door would help a lot with the water tracked inside from the pool. The patios were very nice and the outdoor shower and hoses made beach cleanup super easy. There was plenty of parking including a 2 car garage. Access to the beach was very convenient. The neighbors were a bit noisy and filled up our outside trash can as well as parking to prevent the garbage men from picking up the garbage on Saturday morning. Apparently each of them individually brought their own cars. Overall it was a great stay, the facilities and staff were excellent. Quite expensive during the peak season, but worth it for a special occasion!

We were 3 families who came down for some fun, sun, and sand at the beach. The house met all our needs to spread out when need be and hang out together the rest of the time. Great location, fantastic beach access, and nice private pool. A great time had by all!

Very easy to rent the property

Huge ocean front home with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms ( extra beds in 4 of the bedrooms). Large kitchen with 2 refrigerators (very helpful with a large group), 6 burner stove, large table for 8 plus long bar area seats another 8 people. In the closet under the stairs are lots of extra beach chairs and beach toys. Each of the 3 floors has a nice balcony for watching gulf activities or sipping morning coffee. Our family ranged in age from 2 to 73 and we all had a wonderful time!

We totally enjoyed our stay here. It was as close to the beach as you could get, had a pool and plenty of room for our family group of 14. The only improvements that we would suggest is more pool chairs for the pool area, being able to use the elevator for injured my husband would have ben nice. Bunk beds in one of the rooms would have been nice for kids. The two refrigerators and the large dining area was wonderful. Having a private shower/bathroom for most guests was also a nice bonus.

This is a phenomenal property with a fantastic location and plenty of space for a large group. The pictures are accurate and do more than my words would. We had 2 families with a total of 8 kids and everyone had plenty of space and it was perfect for the two adult couples in that we each got a master suite overlooking the water. Unlike many rental properties, I was not able to find any instructions/tips on the house. For example, there was a pool and hot tub, but no instructions on how to operate it. Same for what looked to be a whole-house audio system. Not a big deal but it’s nice to be in a property which has a set of specific instructions or tips. Apart from that, it was excellent and I would definitely rent it again.

House had issues with blinds not opening and windows not opening which was a bummer as we like hearing the ocean and getting light in the rooms! Dryer would not work because of too much lint pushed down under lint vent, so had to have someone come and fix! No hand towels or face towels first day! Called and they brought them second day! Closets had no hangers, they brought hangers! Needs more lighting by our pool area for at night. Overall house is awesome! Beds are comfortable, hot tub and pool were great! Location and beach are wonderful! Would stay again!

Everything here is beautiful. My only problem with the experience is that 4 pm check in and 10 am check out feels like I am being cheated. Hotels don’t even do that.

We stayed in the 6 bedroom with the hot tub side. It was fantastic. We we were right on the beach. It was clean if we had a question SPI was there within the hour. We had an EXCELLENT time. Huge rooms, great views, family friendly.

House was beautiful, was really really big and view / access to beach was terrific! Slats on one bed were broken and microwave sparked really bad. They did replace slats and gave us a loaner microwave fairly quickly. Hot tub didn't work but was still used along with pool. Would highly recommend.

When we stayed for a week at 4616 Gulf Blvd., the house had lots of needed repairs. The stove/oven and hot tub did not work. We knew this in advance and purchased a toaster/oven prior to going. One of the refrigerators didn't cool as it should. The pool and surrounding area was covered in bird poop, the tiles around pool were broken, the step-down area into the garage was flooded and not draining so that our shoes got drenched each time we went into garage to get car. Unfortunately, it rained nearly every day, and rained into one of the bedrooms leaving the floor wet. That said, on the day we left, the gas company was at the house prepared to repair the stove/oven. The refrigerator was repaired while we were there. A cleaning crew came in to clean up the pool and the area around the pool (but with returning birds it might not stay clean). We were told that repairs would be made to the leaking bedroom window and wall. Our requests for help with the problems were met with quick replies and promises to get all repaired. We felt like nearly everything would be repaired and clean for the next guests. The house, itself, is so spacious that our family of 16 was very comfortable (with one exception - one of the beds, second floor in the front of the house was extremely LUMPY. It was so lumpy that we couldn't use it for anyone to sleep on. I don't think a child could have slept on it. There seemed to be a cavity in the middle of that mattress. We had to double up where we hadn't planned on doubling up. And, we failed to report that problem with so many other more important problems.) The house is right on the beach with a wonderful view of the ocean. The small pool is on the street side of the house - not on the ocean side. There are a few things in the garage that you could take to the beach like boogie boards, but we had our own chairs/boogie boards, etc. and would not have had enough had we relied on their provisions. I have hesitated to give a good rating because when we were there, it was below average. If everything got repaired, the rating could easily go up to above average or excellent. Hoping I have explained in such a way as to encourage the next guests to call ahead to check on the repairs before making reservations.

We had our whole immediate family 14 of us staying at the SPI Property located at 4616 Gulf Blvd South. We had a fabulous time and less than 2 minutes to a fantastic beach. The house was clean and over all in good shape. We were able to sleep ever one comfortably with their own bathrooms. I would highly recommend this property as a wonderful getaway for family and friends! SPI property's was fantastic to deal with and made sure the property was clean and functional when we arrived. I'm not even sure where to begin. I normally don't speak up when I have a negative experience but this one is beyond comprehensible. The day before we left for the trip we received a call saying that the gas line had broken and we wouldn't have a stove or oven for the duration of our stay. They credited us for the inconvenience, but that was just the beginning. I made daily calls to the management company for various issues such as: hair in bed on first night, air conditioner not adjustable to go lower than 77 (we all woke up sweating one morning), toilets would not flush (multiple), two bath towels provided in the house for a home that sleeps 20, blinds missing in master bedroom, blinds/curtain torn and duct taped in 3rd floor room, bird poop on many of the chairs on the balcony, freezer leaked water for the first two days (had to leave a soaking towel there to absorb - surely the wood floors are ruined). Some of these issues were dressed and we were told we would be getting a discount on our first two nights on top of the credit for the stove/oven situation but it's been two days and I've not heard a word from them, not seen a credit, no communication at all. After all that we experienced, I shouldn't have to chase this anymore. I'm exhausted and discouraged and will never stay there again. The home is beautiful and has potential, but totally mismanaged and not cared for.

Beautiful house. Very comfortable for 16 people. There were just to many little problems to be completely comfortable. Not enough nightstands, lamps, coffee cups, large cooking pots and pans for a big crowd, blinds not working, chipped tile around the pool to name just a few. In addition we had no gas for the stove the whole week which was really upsetting since we had hired a personal chef. So, in the end we had a great family gathering but not in a luxury house.

This beach is very nice and our party of 9 people enjoyed it. The property was clean and in great shape. The hot tub and pool were in good condition. Multiple TV and WiFi worked well. Excellent beach access. Would recommend for any large party seeking a very nice beach house on South Padre.

The photos in the ad must be older, this place is falling apart. Pool area has cracks in the tile and missing tile, not to mention was not cleaned recently. Refrigerator was leaking (had to bring in an additional one to help with frozen items), blinds had missing pulls, so you couldn't raise them to see the view, one TV did not work, jacuzzi tub did not work, one TV box was just hanging from the back of the TV, Gas stove has issues with the striker and they leave the bare minimum in towels (very few hand towels/wash cloths), trash bags etc. you have to request more if needed. Overall review is poor. The only thing going for this place was the linens were clean and the beach access was out the back door. Great place if your expectations are low.

This is a very nice house! The location is very close to the water and beach. Also a short drive to several restaurants and shops. A few minor things - the kitchen is short on pans and we were short of washcloths. Minor things - overall GREAT property!!

This place is gorgeous. I was living the life of luxury for my mini vacation. Relaxing at the pool while looking at the night sky was incredible. I didn't want to leave. Spacious, clean, views.... I could go on and on. Beach chairs in the garage along with pool toys.

This property is perfectly located for easy access to the beach. The house itself has huge bedrooms, closets, living space and the bathrooms had great showers. Unfortunate Issues: On day 1, We arrived with over $400 in groceries and realized that the refrigerator and freezer we’re not working. We contacted management who then contacted maintenance. He arrived and told us that this was a common issue, but owners would not replace the refrigerator. He then offered to bring us ice for our ice chest to hold us over until the morning when they would come and bring out a second fridge. Thank goodness we had 3 ice chests to put all of the perishables in to hold us over. That same evening, we all went to sit around the pool, only to realize none of the pool lights worked. It was very dark, so rather than sit out there not able to see anything, we went back inside, which we were glad we did because of what happened next. On day 2, we all were awaken by a loud crashing sound around 6am. One of us was in the garage, and he walked out to huge chunks of stone that framed the windows, falling off the house, right in front of the door that he had just walked through to get to the garage, leading out to the pool. As the pieces of stone fell, they crashed onto the ground and into the pool. We contacted the management, who then got maintenance out to inspect the situation. They put caution tape around the pool, and the area around the only door that led out to the pool area and our vehicles. We were told we would not be able to sit out there or use the pool! The maintenance guy said it was very dangerous and if any more fell, some could be seriously injured or worse. We realized this was happening on several areas around the exterior, which meant no grilling outside for us either. Everyone was now terrified to sit out on the patio areas now.....super frustrating. Especially when you pay that much money. Last issue; the property has 3 levels, with an elevator, but renters are not allowed to use it. Let me just say, lugging 4 days worth of luggage up and down to a third floor was an enormous pain in the butt! Needless to say, this property has great potential, but the inability to feel safe and use the amenities, really put a damper on the trip. We were told we’d receive a call from the GM for a refund on one night, and we have yet to receive that call, so my husband plans to reach out to them. Don’t be fooled by looks. This property is unsafe

Wonderful stay. Each room were big, huge house. Kitchen as described. Would definitely stay again. A few hiccups upon arrival and settling in but overall had an amazing stay.

I woke up and decided I needed a change of scenery. The house pictured is what I booked but due to AC issues I was placed in another beautiful property across the street from the beach. I was able to check in electronically and they helped me with an easy arrival. I will definitely book again 😊�

The home was amazing, pool area needs some maintenance. Had trouble with the hot tub, draining everyday! Would be nice to have a heated pool. SPI Rental was prompt to respond. Air conditioning on the second and third floors didn't work well. Great place for a large family reunion! Was disappointed we couldn't use the elevator, because we had several people in their 80's. It's too bad that the floors are so scratched! All in all, we had a great time!

Great accommodations, had 10 people with plenty of space. Bedrooms, baths and closets are really wonderful. Would recommend to others and will look to rent in the future

We had both sides of this Amazing house for a wedding party. From the outside it looks pretty basic but inside it Impressive! Beautiful spiral staircase leads to the master suite on the top floor where there is a steam shower fit for the rich and famous! The 5500 square feet will actually comfortably accommodate the posted 24 person occupancy. The only negatives are the shades do not function in some of the rooms and the door locks on the back of the house don't work well. Would definitely stay here again!!!

The floors are being ruined because they do not have furniture pads. SPI were very very helpful. Also there were not enough kitchen towels or hot pads. That was not on the list to bring. We loved staying there and had a great time.

This was a beautiful, warm and inviting home with AMAZING views on all floors. This was the perfect house for our family reunion, we very comfortably housed 19 of us and even had room for a few more. The furniture was perfect for a large group. There was more than enough room for us to enjoy family time together in the common areas. The balconies provided beautiful views and an escape if a quiet moment was needed. The bedrooms far exceeded our expectations with ample space, more than enough storage for everyone's stuff. Each bedroom had its own bathroom (the first-floor bedroom had a bathroom across the hall, the rest were on suite) which was a very pleasant surprise, and the mattresses were very comfortable an easily overlooked detail. The washer and dryer were updated and easy to use. Every inch of the house was immaculate. We had to reach out to SPI Rentals with some questions when we first checked in and they were VERY quick to respond and were VERY attentive to our needs. If we return to South Padre Island we would definitely stay in this home again!
