We had a family wedding in Angleton and decided to spend a couple of days at the beach before the wedding. We chose the Pineapple House because it had a ramp to the door. My mother-in-law is 94 and almost wheelchair bound so we wanted a house that she could get to. She loved sitting on the deck watching us at the beach. She said she wished we had stayed the whole week. The view was great and walking distance to the beach. We had a great time.

Needs a little deep cleaning and upkeep.

This property very great for family & friends spend time together because quite, clean, nice view and very close to the beach. But owner need get some more nice cooking equipment stuff for big group like pot & pan ….Also if you plan to cook food for family when you stay make sure you get everything you need (especially snack & drink for kids & adult )before you be there because market Cente about 30 minutes away . My family really like it and we have great time together .

The Pineapple house is perfect for families with 5 bedrooms there is plenty of space. Short walk to the beach.

We loved our stay at the pineapple house. The location can not be beat! The views from the front deck overlooking the ocean were perfect. This house comes with everything you need to enjoy a weekend away. We were so very happy! I gave 4 stars for accuracy of description instead of 5 starts because bedroom #2 does not have 2 queen beds, it only had 1. Minor inconvenience but did not take away from the great experience.

The Pineapple House is in a great location. It’s quiet enough to enjoy family time, but close enough to enjoy restaurants, food trucks, and beverages. It comfortably housed four families over our four days stay. We were a little disappointed in the toilet paper supply, the small shampoos, and small bars of soap that all ran out. There wasn’t an ice maker as advertised. But there was a stocked kitchen of cooking materials, clean sheets, and enough laundry pods for us to do a few loads of laundry. Also plenty of towels and a few beach toys for the kids. The public walking path is nice at Surfside beach. Overall a nice stay.

We had a PERFECT time here! Enough space for all couples to have their own bedroom. There is a pedestrian walk to the beach a couple houses down (it does have two small sets of stairs). To get a golf cart on the beach you have to go a couple blocks down. There is a grill here but it’s charcoal so plan accordingly. The house has just about every plate, serving dish, appliance, etc that you would ever need. Basic pantry items included incase you forgot something. There’s a downstairs shower which was amazing for rinsing off after the beach and keeping the house cleaner. The hot water is AMAZING! Do bring bottled water to drink as the tap is salty and brownish (typical for a beach). The unit also has a water cooler but the 5gal jug was out. The closet in the downstairs master is HUGE. The pictures do not do it justice. You could fit two cribs in there. Super easy check in process. I would 100% stay here again!!

This was our second stay at this beach house. The house completely satisfied our needs. It is just a few short steps from the beach and we loved being able to sit out on the front deck and see and hear the ocean. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of three restaurants. The property owner was extremely accommodating in answering questions and helping with any issues that came up. We definitely would like to continue to rent this house for future Thanksgiving weeks.

We looked and looked for the best oceanfront property. We came upon the Pineapple House and decided this would be the place to stay for my 50th birthday party. When we arrived at this location, we were stunned. It was EVERYTHING we were told it would be and more! Pictures do not do this property justice. This place is gorgeous and has a ton of special touches. Jenny was awesome to deal with and was attentive to any questions we had. I would HIGHLY recommend this property.

My family really enjoyed the house; it had a cozy feel, but with plenty of space and plenty of front porch space. It was the perfect weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at the property and have now stayed 2 years in a row. The house is perfect for a big family and friend group and right by the beach (short walk or golf cart ride). They had everything we needed for a good time. We came right after the hurricane and the owners were prompt with being touch about the condition of the home and letting us make the call if we wanted to come. So glad we did!

Our third visit and lovely as always. Building beautiful family memories and hoping to return next year. Also noticed and appreciated the expanded beach and Gulf views.

Many rooms, lots of space for big family, very nice and all beds very comfortable! Beautiful views and walkover not far from the beach house. We would stay here again.

Enjoyed our second stay at the pineapple house! It’s a great spot for us to get away with friends and family.

The location was excellent, short 5 minute walk to the beach which was great with all the kids! Easy for an adult to go back to the house fix lunch and have it ready for everyone or take back to the beach! Size of the house was perfect as well, we had 6 adults and 5 kids with plenty of beds/rooms. I was just disappointed with the cleanliness. It was a basic wipe down for the most part, dust, animal hair etc behind all the furniture, under tables, rugs were very dirty. We cleaned for 2 hours the day we got there. I complained about that and she did remedy it, so that was appreciated. Only other complaint for us was it was very cluttered throughout the house, lots of furniture, lots of decor all over counters, and very unorganized junky drawers throughout the kitchen. So that didn’t really help give vacation vibes for us personally. Overall, we had a great time, loved the ocean view from the porch (watching the sunrise/sunset is a must), ideal location to walk to the beach, and lots of rooms if you are taking a large or multiple families! Host was very responsive when we reached out.

Had a wonderful time. The view was great and access to beach was an easy walk. The house was everything that we thought it would be and very nice and clean. Would love to return and stay here.

The beach house was nice size for our large family. However I was disappointed the upstair master bedroom did not have access to a closet. The bunk room is also located across from the upstair master also with no closet and sharing a bathroom through the master bathroom. The chairs on deck are rusted and fragile. I would suggest removing the broken chairs before someone gets hurt. The gate to upper deck is about to fall off. The house does need a deep cleaning or get a new cleaning crew. Pillows on couch were stained. Filthy under the beds and around base boards. The outdoor shower was nice! The kitchen did have everything we needed plus more but the stove top did worry me with small children as the knobs were just at right height for them to turn on.

Location was great, had a store close by and beautiful view of the beach from the deck! But their was a few problems, got the damage insurance to cover anything cause not everything is assured with kiddos around, pointless to have it cause home owner still charging my card $500 for a few thing that insurance can cover! Deck chairs are all rusted out so can’t even enjoy them cause one broke due to the weather damage from all the rust and home owner still charging me for it which again the insurance is suppose to cover. Their was dog hair when we first walked into some of the rooms on the blankets! Rugged was stain when first walked in and they wanna charger me for it I have photos of everything when we first walked in cause you never know. We rent a beach house every year and never had any problems till we rented this one. I’ve emailed the home owner about the chargers and haven’t gotten a reply. I’ll update me review of it gets straighten out. But if you have kiddos I recommend a different beach house cause kids are going to stain thing sometimes kids will be kids!

What an amazing house for a getaway! Beautiful inside and out. Accommodated our family perfectly. Clear views to the beach from both decks, just as listed. All kitchen items needed for food prep, cooking, and dining were available. Beds and pillows were comfortable in all rooms, no backaches the entire week!! If you have the opportunity and need space for a large group, this is the house you should choose. Communication with the owner was amazing, we have never had this with any other place we have stayed. We had a problem at check in and Jenny answered the phone call, first time. The issue was solved immediately. We had a similar incident just a couple days later, after hours, again, answered on the first call and was permanently fixed the next morning. Just fantastic and exactly what you want when you are away from home and dependent upon the owners for assistance. Such a secure feeling. As others have said, the area of Surfside Beach is a mosquito haven it seems. Repellent is a must, applied often during the day, especially when under the house and on the way to the beach. Trust us, do it. Depending on the time you are out on the beach and the tide, beach space can be at a premium due to it being a drivable beach and the ocean debris that washes up. We dealt with timber and seaweed. The City came and removed the timber after a couple of days. If you keep in mind that the beach is part of nature and changes constantly, these things won’t bother you. If you are wanting pristine, you need to find a secluded beach elsewhere. We had no problem with the vehicle traffic and when it was “busy”, we either stayed at the house or didn’t cross over during that time. Pros: Location, cleanliness, views, communication with owners. Cons: None with the house. For the area - Mosquitoes, distance to grocery shopping. The house was just perfect for our family. I honestly think the only thing that might have improved our experience would have been more of the taller deck chairs on both decks. We cannot thank the Miller family enough for opening their home to us and being just great hosts.

We really enjoyed the location and house. It was perfect for our group size, loved the big porch overlooking the water, and how close we were to the beach. Would definitely recommend for a bigger group of family and friends - great for kids too! There were toys, a high chair, and the porch had a gate so they could play outside.

Lots of space for a large family or multi-generational group. Excellent proximity to the beach. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the ocean. Bring bug spray!!!!

Everything was fantastic!

Comfy home with ample space for a large family. Close to the beach with easy access a short distance away. Kitchen was nicely stocked, bathrooms were nice with plenty of towels, and beds were comfortable. The only downside was it was in need of a good detailed cleaning.

Property is set up for large family gatherings. It is spacious and well maintained. We loved how it is decorated and the covered patio is great to have meals on.

This house was great for our group of 11. Plenty of space for everyone, and a fantastic view of the gulf.

This property is great! With 5 bedrooms and one designated for kids with bunks, it was the perfect space to fit our family. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. The location also is amazing!! While not right on the beach, it’s so close to the walkway to the beach, you can feel comfortable sending your older kids without you. Even better, there is no house blocking your view of the ocean, making you still feel that you are beachfront. The deck space is where you want to spend all of your time. The majority of it is covered, so we spent most of our time there when we weren’t at the beach. Dining, reading, and playing games on the deck with the view can’t be beat. The space under the house, and the yard was perfect for our kids to play the games we brought. Now for the beach, just be aware that cars can drive on the beach. I have never experienced this before. It’s a little annoying. It’s extremely annoying if you are there during a busy time, like Memorial Weekend. But, just get there early and set up your space or shade structure and you will have your spot secure. We easily found space right off the walkway, in front of the house. You can feel comfortable to leave your chairs out when you go in for lunch or just a break from the sun. The kitchen has just about everything you need for cooking great meals. We had a couple of minor issues(a broken coffee maker and towel rack) that Jenny attended to very promptly and professionally. We would most definitely rent the Pineapple House again! Lastly, be sure to check out Capt. Mark’s Seafood market. We had the most amazing red snapper and shrimp! We even bought more to take home before we left.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Pineapple House. The beach is a just over the dunes and the home is decorated so nicely. The home is perfect for multiple families and has everything you could want. There are plenty of games and puzzles and a sandbox for the little ones. The kitchen is has all the cookware and gadgets you will need. Jenny is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This property is beautiful and very well equipped. We had a couple of small issues which I communicated to the owner and she responded promptly. Would definitely stay here again!
