Maybe it's the mom in me, but the one thing that struck a chord was the fact that we flew there on an airplane which disabled any extra packing and then on arrival, having to supply my own paper products and condiments like salt and pepper, foil,cling wrap, dishsoap was VERY annoying, plus I had to leave those items at the house when we left.

Communication was clear, friendly and prompt. Everything was exactly as described, beach chairs and umbrellas in good condition.
We had 7 adults and 5 children and everyone was comfortable and had a great time. Appreciated the safety of the locks on the doors and fencing around the property, as well as the fence around the pool.
Would absolutely recommend and hope to stay again in the near future!

This was the perfect getaway location for two families. We were able to play, cook, eat, drink, laugh together all day and into the night but were able to shut the doors when one of the kids got tired or someone wanted to some quiet time. The units are identical with one of the bedrooms in unit B offering bunks which was nice for the other family with four kids. All the creature comforts of home with a few extras like beach towels, chairs and umbrella. It would have been nice to have a folding wagon to tote all the beach supplies to the water (about 1000') but being that close we either made multiple trips or drove a car down and dropped stuff off. In all honesty, it wasn't bad at all. Hey, you're in paradise, on a gated road, walking to a semi-private beach. The units were both clean and fresh upon arrival. The pool was as described and the kids loved it. A few games would have been nice for rainy afternoons and coasters for the coffee tables would also help preserve them. It was a bit of a hassle going up and down from side to side during meal prep but we got over it. A door from one unit to the other would be nice but it is understood, it is not that simple. One thought may be to put a gate on the exterior porch. Overall, we loved the location and it fit our families perfectly. If we were to come back to the Destin/Miramar Beach area, we would look at here first for availability.

I was impressed with the house and the online pictures were accurate to the house. I also enjoyed the extra beaches towels included and the beach chairs in the closet. I enjoyed having a hose on the front porch to clean my feet from sand. Only complaint was I wish it was connected to the other side on the top level. Because it was a lot stairs to go up to was all.

We had an amazing stay. Minus the slight inconvenience of having to go out everytime you wanted to go to the other side since there is no joining door. The property was clean. Lots of towels and blankets. Conveniently located to lots of different things. Communication with property management was awesome!

We took a group of 6 15 year old boys on a mom/son beach trip. The property was great. The 2 upstairs living areas were great bc the boys were able to have their own space. The property was super clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely use her properties for future trips!

We liked having multiple living room spaces to accommodate children and adults. The communication was excellent and response times quick. Wish the pool was heated but that didn’t stop the boys from having fun! We would definitely go back

Overall our stay was ‘okay’. House has a good location just about 100 yards from the beach so that was good. You are also positioned right next to an Alvin’s souvenir shop, which brought some noise-not totally terrible but you will hear it. Otherwise, it is unfortunate there is no internal door between each side of the duplex. It doesn’t seem like a big deal until you have to go downstairs and out the front or back door each time you want to go to the other side of the unit. Then go back up stairs to the living areas of each unit. If you have older people with you this will get old quick. I think some minor upgrades like better wifi, maybe provide more than 1-2 dish towels, a few extra blankets for the living spaces. Obviously, not end of the world but just some simple improvements that would make the stay more comfortable.

This place was perfect for our families! Owner was very responsive to our questions and let us know ahead of time of any potential issues. The private beach was AMAZING. We went during a very very busy season and didn't have to fight for a space AT ALL!!
The pool furniture and surrounding area could probably use some updates. For example, only a couple of our lights around the pool worked and a couple were broken. But the kids didn't mind at all and had a blast so that's really all that matters. Will definitely look forward to staying here again

Short walk to the beach. We had a few minor issues but nothing major. The pool area could use some work. The fence is falling in some places. Overall we had a great time and will be looking into renting the house again next year.

Great Location
We had a group of 8 ladies for our annual trip. We rented both sides of the unit and it worked out well for the most part. There were a few maintenance items and it was a little inconvenient that the units didn't have a shared door on the upper level, but, overall, our group had a great stay and would recommend staying here.

Great stay just steps from the beach
Our group had an excellent experience at Beach Haven. The location was a short walk from a beautiful, quiet beach, and the house was kept in very good condition. Only thing to note is the two units that make up the house can only be accessed separately from outside in the front or back, they do not have a connecting door inside to go back and forth between the two.

Great getaway
Upon arrival we were amazed to see such a large property for such a great price. The 2 units were large enough for our group & accommodated everyone well. I will say if you have trouble with steps or older members in your party who do, you may want to take a look. The upstairs gathering area & kitchen are upstairs in both units which can be a concern. There were a few minor issues that needed to be addressed (broken chair at dining table, toilet in bunk bedroom, drain in pool & outside drain in driveway just a few items) but overall a nice stay.

Fall Break Visit
The house was perfect for our extended family stay. The house a duplex that you can rent both sides of. The bedrooms are downstairs when you enter the house and the living area and kitchen are upstairs. It was nice having a full bathroom attached to each bedroom. Having a pool there was really nice especially having kids. It is good size and the area around it was great with chairs and trees that provide a bit of shade when supervising the kids. The walk to the beach was only a few mins and it is nice having a private drive so you only have to dodge the occasional car. There are 2 outdoor showers, with hot water, to rinse off on either side of the house. The house had ample amount of beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. My only suggestion would be to replace the grill grates and tools to clean as well as the pots and pans. Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend to any large family.

Wonderful
Our stay was wonderful! The property managers are easy to reach out to and responsive. This set up worked wonderfully for our family to give separate spaces for us to retreat to but enough room to fit all of us when we did want to all hang out. The pool was so convenient for rainy days where we didn’t have time to get to the beach between rain. The location of the house is great. Near a lot of restaurants and attractions and access to the uncrowded beach. The place was clean and a wonderful use of space. The beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, and beach towels provided were so helpful to cut down on how much we had to pack. We also booked their pontoon boat one day and had an awesome experience with that as well!
A few cons or things to improve:
- the beach is a good walk from the house and no parking at the end of the street near the beach access. Definitely doable but long with a cranky toddler 😂. We knew it wasn’t right at the beach so not complaining, just something for renters to be aware of
- some furniture seems like it needs replacing on side b. The dining chairs all had wobbly legs. We continuous tightened them but without proper tools, could only do so much. The queen bed on the b side was very squeaky. I know that sounds like a silly complaint but any movement at night would cause the whole bed to squeak.
Overall would definitely stay again! Miss it already!

Our experience was wonderful. We really enjoyed the rental. We had lots of room and everything was so super clean and pretty. We wish the pans were better cooking quality but other than that we really enjoyed ourselves. The private pool was a big plus for everyone!!! We will be staying again!
