Das Bacchus ist ein geräumiges, zweistöckiges Strandhaus in der Altstadt von Dunsborough. Es liegt nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Küsten- und Badestrand entfernt und die Cafés und Restaurants im Stadtzentrum sind zu Fuß erreichbar.
Das Haus verfügt über großzügige Wohnbereiche, die sich ideal für 2 Familien oder mehrere Paare eignen. Es bietet 5 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer, zwei separate Wohnbereiche, einen Balkon im Obergeschoss und einen Liegebereich im Erdgeschoss.
Der Garten hinter dem Haus ist vom Wohnbereich im Erdgeschoss zugänglich und bietet eine nicht überdachte, möblierte Terrasse mit Grill und Rasenfläche. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt und somit ein idealer Ort für Kinder und Hunde.
Der Balkon ist vom Wohn- / Küchenbereich im Obergeschoss zugänglich und ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen der Aussicht. Über eine Außentreppe gelangen Sie vom Balkon bequem in die Gartenbereiche. Ein Tor über der Balkontreppe sichert den Zugang zum Balkonbereich.
Der Vorgarten bietet überdachte Parkplätze für Autos und Platz zum Abstellen eines Bootes. Bequeme Nähe zur Dunsbrough Bay Bootsrampe.
Ein fantastischer Ort, um zu bleiben, während Sie die lokale Strandumgebung genießen oder die international bekannten Weingüter, Boutique-Brauereien und die atemberaubende Küste der Region erkunden. Die Lage bietet bequemen Zugang zu Wander- und Radwegen, die nach Castle Rock und Bunker Bay führen.

My husband and I and 5 of our friends and our dogs stayed recently for two nights. It was ideal for three couple and two singles: plenty of space, great location close to the water and Dunsborough town, awesome upstairs entertaining area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back.

Recommend more lighting in bbq area downstairs and fans in all rooms. A vacuum cleaner would have been nice too

Bacchus was perfect for our girl's trip, loved our stay here. The house is spacious (we all had our own room) and in a good location. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of utensils/crockery/glasses so no need to keep washing dishes! Was lovely to sit out on the deck upstairs for an afternoon drink! Would like to suggest mirrors in the bedrooms and also tissues provided and maybe a starter pack of kindling & firewood. We did buy the firewood as suggested but I think this could have been provided given the cost per night. The host, Rosa, responded to my emails very promptly. Would definitely book this place again.

We had a great time walking to the beach and cooking big meals to eat on the veranda while the kids watched cartoons on the comfy couch. Not a ton of frills but truly everything we needed for a family Beach getaway!

The property is in a great location for visiting wineries and other attractions. The property is well maintained and the bedrooms are good. The house is not on the beach, but there are views of the ocean and not too far to walk to.

Great stay for couples or family with teenage children, but not recommended for families with toddlers or older family members due to staircase. There is no handrail for the stairs and no toddler gate at either the top or bottom of the staircase which was a major issue during our stay with two toddlers aged 2 and 3 given the living area is upstairs. Kitchen is very well equipped for people that want to cook up a storm and entertain. Overall good but not for young families.

A wonderful place to enjoy the peace and quiet of Dunsborough. Comfortable beds, beautiful living room and kitchen with everything available. Would definitely stay there again. We had our small dog there as well, and it was safe and secure for her.

Great stay in Old Dunsborough
Fantastic property for 2 families, with each family able to have a floor each! Lovely secure backyard for the dogs. Everything you will need in the kitchen, almost better stocked than my own house! A really easy process with booking and checking in too. This is such a great location for kids being near the local primary school, mountain bike tracks and great beach and coastal walks.

Birthday celebrations
Overall the accommodation was great, the beach house had everything we needed, unfortunately with the warm weather it was hot downstairs, maybe fans in the bedrooms would be good.

Wonderful accommodation, spacious and very comfortable
This is a great property for a family. The property is very spacious, and accommodated 9 adults very easily. The house is very well appointed, with excellent amenities, all very modern and all in great working order. It is a low maintenance home, in a terrific location. Thoroughly recommended.

Great home and pet friendly
This house was great for our big family and 2 dogs. Would love to see fans or air con in bottom level as we had a very hot week and the downstairs area was very hot. Also a TV in bottom family area would be great as well but this house is in a great location and Rosa responds very quickly - would recommend staying here.

Breach of T&Cs. Go elsewhere!
Property manager changed our dates 6 months after we had booked and paid the deposit, with out letting us know beforehand. The new dates did not work for us and we had to reduce our booking by one night. This occurred more than a month prior to the cut off for 100% refund for cancellation as stipulated in the terms, however, not only did the owner not refund us for the lost night she increased the rate we were paying on all the other nights (which had been confirmed with deposit 6 months prior) so the final balance owing to her did not change. She did this, of course, at a time when Dunsborough was fully booked so we were faced with the choice of paying up or losing our holiday. Spoke to Stayz who are unfortunately powerless to deal with this kind of abhorrent behaviour.
Beware - some holiday home owners have no scruples and are more than happy to swindle hard working families needing a break. At the time of writing the owner/property manager has not responded to any requests to explain her actions.
A few other notes. The property manager knew, from the previous tenants, that the oven wasn’t working but didn’t bother to inform us.
The supply of toilet paper in the downstairs toilet was actually a roll of kitchen towel.
There was rubbish strewn on the ground at the bottom of the outside stairs.
Non of the recommendations made by previous tenants appear to have been remedied (bedside lamps, hanging spaces etc.)
In conclusion, this owner/property manager has proven herself to be dishonest and greedy. If you have a second option (or even a third) go with that.
Don’t spend your money here.

Perfect getaway
House was super clean, and kitchen was well equipped.
It was easy to walk the doggos down to the beach in the morning and get coffee from the van.

Weekend getaway
Very comfortable and well appointed. Some rooms had no hanging facility for clothes- portable hanging rack would be brilliant. More toilet paper would be appreciated. Bedside lights would be great for reading and safer negotiating of the bedrooms in the dark.

It was very good. only wish the tv was downstairs so the kids could watch it without disturbing the adults playing cards.
Also ceiling fans in the toilets would be good

Amazing Amazing amazing
It was an absolute dream to stay here the owner was so easy to talk to and just a lovely lady in general, the home itself was great everything worked perfectly and our little sausage dogs definitely enjoyed the stay as well especially the stairs 😅🤣 at the end of the day this is an amazing home and central to everything we will definitely be coming back in the near future. Great location, great place, well equipped, very comfortable beds which I would love to call it home in Dunsbrough. Mins to walk to beach, very close to the town centre. Easily go to lots interest places. Will book here again for sure if visit Dunsbrough in the future. :)
