The coffee machine was dirty and the instructions to enter the property were misleading, please fix that!

The location

The hidden fees on this are absolutely ridiculous. It shouldn't cost 3 times the rental cost for cleaning and booking. very uncomfortable bed and horrible management.

The location was very convenient for us. We were close to the wildlife sanctuary, Portage Glacier, Whittier, and Anchorage.

Small studio, dated, typical Ski -in Resort. Not quite up to my standards but for the most part it was clean. Could use some new carpet, and a more stable bed. The keys were a little difficult to find but a neat way of doing it.

Location is good. More than enough amenities.

A bit expensive and they don’t have any employees for customer service on site. The rental agreement is print/fax only.

I picked this place mainly for the tv, I’ve been traveling in Alaska for a month without tv and thought I’d take a couple days and watch a little. The tv turned on but the roku never did, so no tv to watch. I emailed the owner as instructed by the instruction book but never got a response. The next morning I called vacasa who said they’d get someone there ASAP. Nobody came. I called vacasa again in the afternoon and they said someone would be right there, no one came. I called vacasa the next morning and they told me I should have my fees adjusted and someone would call me, no one has called, emailed or texted me to discuss this. I’m appalled at the irresponsibility of vacasa and would never rent from a vacasa managed property again.

The 2 people that helped us, when they were actually open, were cheerful and apologetic and did get us the items that were missing as well as getting the bathroom cleaned for us. The location of this condo is the best part and makes up for other shortcomings.

We had to call the office to get all hygiene amenities i.e. toilet paper, soap, etc. Bathroom...gross. when we called, they don't have a local contact, so the lower 48 office in Portland said they couldn't help us until the next day, so we had to provide our own toiletries. The property needs an on location full time employee to handle local calls. We live in Alaska to get away from the hands OFF method of business. A smile and a handshake is how we do things here and being rerouted to a Portland number in emergency situations is unacceptable. Another thing I feel is asinine is how Vacas handles their booking fee breakdown. They charge an additional $10.00 for each day booked, not a straight booking fee. I.e. $36 for 3 days, $56 for 5 days Etc. Etc. Overall I give Vacasa a great big "0"

if you visit Whittier for glacier tour, it is actually a better location than Whittier as it gives you more freedom because of the tunnel. The resort gives you more lodging choices than Whittier too.

No AC. It is very hot in the room. the ventilation of the room could be better but I doubt the owner can do much about it as this is an apartment building.
