The condo was cozy. We loved the back deck. There were a few outlets in the bedrooms that were quirky and you couldn’t use both bathroom outlets at once. I was not impressed with the information sheet they gave us. It said beach and pool access were right across the street. Well, right across the street was a Disney hotel. We had to call several times to get the correct directions to the pool and beach. The lady that spoke with me was very patient and kind. The condo was a cute, two bedroom with a loft and full bath upstairs. You were not allowed to turn the AC down past 72. It never got cool in the loft and it stayed uncomfortably warm. When the weather is in the mid 90s and humidity making it 10 degrees hotter, you want to be able to turn the air down past 72 but it would apparently freeze up the unit. This was the noisiest spot we’ve ever rented. It’s definitely not a quiet area. Very busy. It’s been 10 years since we were in Hilton head so maybe it’s just grown up that much but other places on the island seemed a lot quieter. There was a maintenance guy still working on things when we got there so they weren’t quite ready for us but we were still able to go in. There were a few things that were out of place and I’m assuming it because it was a rush to get it ready for us after the former guest left. For the amount of money we spent on the place, we expected more. It wasn’t a bad experience altogether, but we won’t be back here. We could have rented nicer for less money.

Palmetto Dunes never lets us down and neither did Captains Cove 485. The location was perfect. This end unit provided a beautiful setting with privacy and only a few steps to the beach and pool. It was very clean had all the amenities needed for our week stay. The unit could use slight updates but that’s us being “very” picky. Thanks!

This place has it dialed in from the check in process to ammenties they have thought of it all. If it's within budget I highly recommend staying here. Don't let the small walk (less than 2 minutes) detier you from this wonderful property!

This was our first trip to Hilton Head and this villa did not disappoint. The unit was very clean and comfortable. There is now a large sectional in the living room that was perfect for our party of 5. The kitchen is well stocked and organized (many meals and even birthday treats were prepared there). The beds were all on the firm side, but I just prefer a soft bed. We had an issue with the ceiling fan in the loft, but Beverly was super responsive and professional and sent her nice handyman out the next morning. We LOVED the location in Palmetto Dunes and actually preferred it over Sea Pines. Walking distance to the beach, pool, and general store was a definite plus. All of the beach equipment provided was in great shape (the only thing not provided were pool noodles). Just bring your clothes and toothbrush and you're all set! Our favorite restaurants were A Lowcountry Backyard (downhome atmosphere and BEST shrimp & grits!), Coast (upscale food and ocean view), and The French Bakery (amazing pastries). Surprisingly, everyone loved the gator bites at The Salty Dog! Mini golf at Pirate's Island was the best mini golf EVER. Thanks to Beverly for making my 50th so special. :)

We loved our time at Hilton Head. The property was beautiful and so inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked with nice pots/pans and cooking utensils. The beds were all so comfortable and all three bathrooms were stocked with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. We cannot wait to visit Hilton Head again!! Thanks for making our stay such an incredible and memorable experience.

Absolutely loved this condo. It has everything you need and more. Does not lack in anything. Kitchen stocked with everything you need and more, bathrooms had ample towels for all guest and the beds were so comfortable. Location was perfect and the community is quiet. We really enjoyed our stay at Beverly's property. She is great at what she does and has created a beautiful, cozy, coastal home that was a treat to stay at. Her processes are the clearest and easiest we've ever experienced. The home is a 5 min walk to the beach, comes outfitted with chairs/umbrellas/wagons/toys/towels/etc, and the back patio was such a fantastic spot looking out over a small lawn and water. The home is the most well outfitted our family has ever seen and it was so easy to just open our suitcases and enjoy our stay without having to run out and worry about grabbing the basics. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Beverly! We cannot wait to stay in this, or any one of your other properties, again.

This place was great. One if my best palmetto dunes experience. The following is my summary:
*best check-in process- This is the 5th time I’ve rented a house / condo in palmetto dunes and there is always a rigamarole at the on site checkin rental office. Picking up the packet with parking pass offsite was so much easier avoiding that usual mess.
*really big place- it was way more than our family of four needed. Could have easily brought another family? This was a plus
*very well stocked- had everything we needed in the kitchen/laundry area, and had an amazing amount of beach toys, seating, umbrellas and carts. Some rentals say they have this stuff but when you get there it’s in bad shape or deficient in some way. Not here.
*great location- really easy walk to beach, tennis center and general store. Perfect for us
*responsive rental agent- we needed help with the beach gate code and the rental agent took our call on thanksgiving day and solved it for us in 30 seconds. Top shelf service.
All in all an easy 5 star rental.

We SO enjoyed our time at 485 Captain's Cove. The location is STELLAR. The walk to the beach was a little bit longer than advertised and the pool a little smaller than photos portrayed but everything else was AWESOME! The unit provides plenty of space for a family and was stocked with everything we needed (and more). We highly recommend this unit and the management company! We can hardly wait to return!

Great family getaway!
485 Captain's Cove was awesome! Perfect size for our 4 kids and 2 adults. Very clean, close to the beach, pool and general store. The beach chairs, toys, etc came in very handy The communication with the proerty manager was just enough. Only complaint was that it was a little noisy in the morning with the lawn crew. We would definlity come back. Great memories were made!

Was a bit older than pictures showed and the house had a moldy odor. House layout and location was perfect. Communication with BESTNEST was amazing. The beds were a bit soft and would recommend and upgrade of mattresses.

In terms of the unit itself, it was disappointing compared to other Beverly Serral properties we stayed at on prior visits to HHI. It felt older. We were there in the winter and it was difficult to keep all areas of them home at a comfortable temperature. There is only one thermostat and the loft area at the top of the steps was unbearably hot when the downstairs was comfortable. The hot water started to run out after 3 people took showers.
We also had to catch two little lizards that found their way inside the home. The weatherstripping on the bottom of the front door doesn't seal the doorway. I'm guessing that is how they came in.
Other than the lizards, the unit is super clean.
Would we stay here again? I'm torn, because the location was so great, but we were disappointed with the unit.

The check in process was unpleasant. The welcome email was sent to my spam folder and by the time I found it, the email link was broken or didn’t work. I had to make three phone calls before I was given the front door code. From the online photos, it appears the condo was a few “steps” to the beach. This is not the case. You must walk through a parking lot, cross the main road, walk through another parking lot, walk behind another set of condos and up the board walk ramp. Other than these two (2) issues, our stay was very pleasant. The condo was furnished nicely. The location to the general store and Outfitters was excellent. We would consider booking this condo again. Thx!

We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach and having access to the nearby pool. The area was quiet and beautiful. We didn't really go out to eat and having the full kitchen made cooking and dining easy. I would recommend this place.

This property was very clean and included every detail. I stayed during hurricane Elsa and the property management team was extremely proactive in making sure I was safe and communicating during every phase of the storm. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Location great, but thought it was closer to beach
The check in process was unpleasant. The welcome email was sent to my spam folder and by the time I found it, the email link was broken or didn’t work. I had to make three phone calls before I was given the front door code. From the online photos, it appears the condo was a few “steps” to the beach. This is not the case. You must walk through a parking lot, cross the main road, walk through another parking lot, walk behind another set of condos and up the board walk ramp. Other than these two (2) issues, our stay was very pleasant. The condo was furnished nicely. The location to the general store and Outfitters was excellent. We would consider booking this condo again. Thx!

What a wonderful property and vacation for our family. The host was not kidding when they said it has everything you need. We just needed our personal effects and food, and the rest was perfect. The beach was so close, the host provided everything we needed, there was much to do in Palmetto Dunes and the surrounding area. We loved it so much that we are going to book again for next year!
