Setting beautiful / utter tranquility! Cannot emphasise enough how peaceful it is. Glorious property! Tastefully decorated inline with character of property. Wonderful spacious bedroom, bed extremely comfortable, and great storage. Everything needed, kitchen well equipped.

Kitchen bins somewhat difficult to open and manage.

The doors were a little difficult to manage

Lovely, rural setting. Well provisioned with kitchen equipment for a self-catering stay; milk and (delicious) biscuits were there to greet us, which we appreciated. It was immaculately clean. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. Our few days in Kent, to visit family and friends, was complicated due to the fuel shortage, which meant we had to save fuel for visit to elderly mum. Alisa and Bryce vey helpfully let us know when a petrol station nearby had fuel arrive, which meant that we could do at least some of what we’d planned. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The lane it’s on can be a bit challenging, as it’s narrow, but that was mainly due to some wet and windy weather whilst we were there.

Beautiful old building and garden, quiet, very comfortable bed, easy parking, very clean, tea and coffee, milk and biscuits available on our arrival. Very friendly hosts. We could not fault it.

It was a beautiful setting. Very nicely decorated, ample room for the 2 of us. A very cute 1 bedroom apartment - in what used to be a barn! The outside area was huge and generally really lovely (pretty flowers etc.). The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. There was even a fan in case of hot weather - and we definitely used it on the heatwave weekend of our stay! The hosts even provided us with a BBQ for the warm, summer evenings! We would love to stay here again - it was very relaxing.

The drive from the main road in Hawkhurst is on a single-lane country road (approx. 5 mins drive from the main road). Not a negative as such but it's good to know this before you book (I am not that confident driving on these fast, narrow country lanes!) Nothing negative to say!

Perfect location for a peaceful retreat and yet only a few minutes to the nearby Hawkhurst where there is a Tesco and Waitrose. Charming, welcoming hosts made me feel completely at home. The barn is well equipped for self-catering and is spotless and well maintained. Ideally placed for visits to Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!
