This home is incredible! The outdoor set up is fantastic with plenty of comfortable seating and the best views you could hope for. We saw a lot of whales from the deck. The home is well stocked and beds are comfortable, and the host is very kind and accommodating. We hope to be back someday!

This place is simply amazing!

The pool and view were everything

The home was exactly as described, only prettier in person. We only wished we had stayed longer.

Extremely clean. Plenty of space. Air conditioning in two bedrooms. Rest of house is hot and humid despite opening all windows. Pool is fabulous. Bbq excellent and clean. There ARE homeless people camping to the left of property as well as locals and their families. Husband had an altercation with a homeless group who were yelling profanities at us for flying a drone? We were not flying the drone over them. It was uncomfortable for us after this experience. Unfriendly neighbour to the left when you drive towards property. He was waving his arms and yelling as we drove past his property yelling “slow down”. We were driving exactly 7 miles per hour. Signs all over to drive 5 miles per hour, however it is very hard to keep a vehicle at an uncomfortably slow speed of 5 miles. Neighbour continued to approach our vehicle on the rental property after we parked and confronted my husband. Very strange to come onto the property to scold us for driving 7 miles. The drive to Kona 35 - 45 minutes. You need to drive here to find any restaurants or proper dining as well as bigger grocery stores or pharmacies. Locks need to be added to many windows and sliding doors. Many windows and sliding doors do not lock at all and some had sticks place behind to act as a lock? We were fine as my husband is very resourceful and made it safe for us all. Overall property is private, spacious, clean, has a beautiful view and priced accordingly.

I can't say enough AMAZING things about this property, as well as the hosts. We are a family of 5 and the layout of the house was perfect! Communication was excellent from beginning to end, the check in process was a breeze, the house was VERY well stocked with anything you could possibly need while vacationing, and the location was fantastic- close enough for convenience, but far enough away to be in your own private oasis. The Sunsets here are postcard material every single day. The house was well kept as well, we saw the pool technician, landscaper, and the pest control technician all within the week we were there performing routine maintenance. Not sure if we will ever have the opportunity to return, but if we do, I would absolutely stay here again!!

Beautiful location, perfect sunsets

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in a stunning location. The home is in great shape and has everything you need, including flippers and snorkel equipment. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a great grill on the patio. The location is incredible, but about 30 minutes to Kailua-Kona - which we did not mind as we were looking for beauty and tranquility. The bay is a magical place to kayak and snorkel, and the patio and pool were wonderful.

Great location and awesome views

This is a cozy and wonderful place to stay. Lots of curvy roads to get there. Certainly off the beaten path. But… this is the natural Hawaii. The “country” as locals would call it. There’s lots of wildlife; so many birds, mongooses, geckos and such. The views are amazing. Sunsets are straight out the back. You can snorkel right behind the house, Two Step is 5 minutes away and Captain Cook is around the corner. Your can cliff jump, maybe 15 feet tall, 100 yards from the house. Volcano national park is about 90 minutes away and with the new “Saddle Road” Hilo is only 90 minutes away also. This was such a good spot for a base of operation for the island. Many other good snorkel and beach spots are just to the north in Kona. Maybe 30 minutes away. Be mindful, this is in the country so you will see ants. The Big Island has a lot of ants so this isn’t unique to this house. Just take care of your food. Clean up crumbs and spills immediately. Don’t leave food out and you won’t have any real problems. We would stay here again in the future. Wonderful place.

Comfortable, views can't be beat, right on the water, spent most of our time on the queen bed on the lanai looking out over the ocean watching the boats and snorklers, gorgeous pool, quiet, a short drive away from shopping or eating out, house has just about everything you need. We'll come back if we can.

If you’re dreaming of an ocean side paradise, there is no more beautiful place to wake up than Ocean Song! It is located in a secluded area literally at the water’s edge. The house is very spacious so there is plenty of room to get together and to have some privacy. The kitchen, as well as the entire house, is well stocked with whatever you may need. And we even saw a humpback whale while having breakfast on the fantastic lanai! We can’t wait to visit Ocean Song again.

We have made many visits to Ocean Song and as always, it did not disappoint! Everything was just perfect.

Ocean Song is well named! The view is nothing short of spectacular. The gorgeous pictures barely do it justice. And you are so close (less than 10 minutes) to some of the very best snorkeling on the Big Island. The outdoor swing, the hammock and all the facilities on the ocean facing back yard terrace (including the pool) are simply amazing. The beds were super comfy, and the welcome flowers were a treat. We were able to enjoy our dinners outside while we watched beautiful sunsets. The only thing we regret about our time at Ocean Song is that it was not long enough!

Beautiful home in a fantastic area. Relaxing and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

We found everything absolutely fabulous! Plenty of space for our family of 6 ages 12-18. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Everyone loved the pool and beautiful view. There are many pool toys/floats, tons of snorkel and beach gear. We enjoyed great snorkeling right in front of the house, although you have to be aware of ocean conditions and can be tricky getting in and out on the lava cliffs. We would definitely come back!

This property exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful, the property was spotless, beds very comfortable and the pool refreshing. We made sure to be home every evening for the sunset and would sit, quietly ( 4 chatty friends) to enjoy the unique beauty. Being out, a little more in the country was an unexpected gift, we met lovely people, ate at very local establishments and reveled in the peace. It was very hard to leave. LaRissa was very available and checked on us. We will be back❤️🌺🍧🍹🌴

This is a wonderful house with a most amazing view. My wife and I found it a perfect retreat from the world!

Everything about this property is top notch. The attention to detail is unrivaled by any other VRBO property we have rented. From fresh flowers in many of the rooms, to a fully stocked kitchen, to beach/snorkeling gear….it’s as if the owner just walked out the door and left everything in place that would normally be reserved for their family! The views from the pool area are incredible! You can actually see the activity at the Captain Cook monument from the back yard. The pool is very nice and well kept. The outdoor grill is one of the best we have seen at a rental. We enjoyed walking to the little village, and also loved the brief walk to secluded Ke’Ei beach where we snorkeled with just a couple of other locals in view. This is a true gem of a place and we hope to return one day!!

This is an amazing property. There is an amazing sunset every night, snorkeling just off the property and the layout of the house is great. The pool is nice and deep, so it is refreshing on the hot days. You do not need to run to the store for the little things like toilet paper, paper towels, soap, everything you need is there. You don't even need to bring your snorkel gear! (although we brought our snorkel) there was enough fins for the 5 of us. We will be back!

This place is one of the top 2 properties we have ever vacationed at in our lives (we're in our late 50's). It is the rare case of a property being even BETTER than described in the listing. I think the owners actually use this house, so that makes a lot of difference versus other VRBOs we've stayed at. The house is upgraded, super-clean, and VERY well-cared for. The landscaping is immaculate, and the exterior spaces are SO well-designed. This is the last house on the street, and you feel so isolated on this property - in a good way. But the really incredible part is the ocean. There are a series of coves right next door that provide access to the ocean. Just walk down the hill through the trail(?)/brush, and you can jump off a cliff into the ocean, or look around and find the couple of good access spots that have some tiered volcanic rocks to step down into the ocean. The snorkeling here is INCREDIBLE, and even better than the nearby Two-Step location, which we did try. In fact, a local tour group brings their clients to this location on a catamaran, in front of the house next door, just for the snorkeling. That's saying something that this is the place the local guides take their clients. So really, if you stay at this house, there is little reason to leave. It's private, it's beautiful, the setting is wonderful, and the snorkeling is insanely good. What an incredible place to stay. Owners, if you're reading this, THANK YOU for allowing us to experience this property.

This property is your own private paradise. Jaw dropping views, extremely well-kept grounds, many places to sit and enjoy nature. Snorkel right off of the rocks, or go rent a kayak in the bay next door and go to Captain Cook memorial, swim in the pool, or just nap on the hammock or outdoor bed. The kitchen is newly renovated, and the rest of the house is older but very well kept. The second king bedroom can get warm in the afternoon but cools off at night. Our family with college students absolutely loved this place. Best views in all of the island for sure.

This is our third time staying here. The location is perfect if your are looking to get away and relax. We love that you can snorkel off the beach in front of the house. They had done some upgrades to the house which we loved!

This is such a magical spot. The pictures don't really do it justice. The ocean views are just amazing and the landscaping is beautiful. The house was well equipped and comfortable. You cannot beat a nap on one of the outdoor beds with the ocean lulling you to sleep. Heaven!

I can’t possibly say enough okay about our stay, it was as close to perfect as it comes from the property itself to the property manager, housekeeper, pool maintenance guy, etc. The view is breathtaking, the house was clean and welcoming with lots of supplies, the pool temperature was so inviting and offered a refreshing place to spend out hot lazy afternoons. Our intention for our stay on the island was to spend our days exploring the island but on the days we did venture out we found ourselves just wanting to go back to Ocean Song for the rest and relaxation that the home and outside space so easily gave us. As far as the comments a few made about being nervous about the locals camping and hanging out close by that is just silly. There is a little peak to the left of the house where it appeared the locals fish and although you can see them, the spot is not actually that close to the home, occasionally we could see the glow of a small camp fire in the evening but we could never hear them or in no way ever felt unsafe. We felt so safe and secure at Ocean Song that we kept the slider doors open all night and let the ocean waves put us to sleep😴 Ww will definitely be back and highly recommend renting from Ocean Song!!!!

We spent 7 days here with our good friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the ocean and sunset was fantastic. Even the stars came out for a show. The outside living space of this home was everything we expected and more. We would stay there again and recommend it to others. Be aware that the location is a bit isolated but for us that was great during this uncertain time.

Our second time at the property. Can’t say enough about it. The pool, the sunsets, the location. It’s like you’re really removed from the real world and truly relaxed. The swinging chair and hammock on the cliff over the ocean is what I dream about.

Absolutely amazing property and location! The photos and descriptions were exactly as we found it! Our family loved the privacy and space this property offered. Our family of 5 adults had more than enough space. The views of sunset were breathtaking! The kitchen was stocked with all of the basics. Pool towels were provided. The grill and outdoor deck/patio was perfect for meals and enjoying the gorgeous ocean views. Snorkeling was beautiful and having the gear provided was great. This home was perfect for a relaxing family vacation…thank you!! We will definitely be returning!!

I would buy this house if I could. The house is in the perfect location. The house is very cozy. The backyard is amazingly relaxing. So much to do! When we vacation, we like to live in the community not be stuck in a tourist trap. This house is on a dead end lane. The last house next to lava rock cliffs. It's a beautiful drive up into town to pick up groceries, fresh coffee or a meal at one of the restaurants. There was a lot of rain the week we were here but our location did not see too much. The breeze kept the rain inland. Rainbows everyday!!!! The layout of the house is beautiful. All but two rooms overlook the backyard and pool. Sliding doors all across the back of the house open up and you can hear the waves crash into the shore. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal. It does have a dinning table inside but we never ate inside. I started every morning out by eating breakfast and drinking my tea on the bed on the back veranda. We ate lunch on the swing by the waters edge and dinner on the outdoor dinning table. All your needs and wants are covered. I seriously can't say enough about the outdoor area provided. The pool clean and warm. The beautiful landscape is perfect for pictures. The shore is a great way to spend the day exploring for creatures in the tide pools, fishing from shore and cliff jumping into the ocean. The evening is spent eating dinner and watching the sun set over the water framed by large perfect palm trees. If I could give this property 10 stars for the outdoor living area, I would. If you pass this house up, you are CRAZY!!!!
