Unser klassisches, komfortables Zuhause am 1. 7 Hektar, eingebettet zwischen altem Baumbestand und grünem Gras, wird Ihnen das Gefühl geben, weit weg von der Stadt zu sein. Es liegt auf dem Wasser in einer privaten Bucht. Der offene Wohnbereich und die schöne Veranda bieten viel Raum für Komfort abseits der Elemente. Wenn Sie Ihre Beine strecken wollen, ist dies der richtige Ort für Sie. Das Roadhouse bietet fantastische Außenbereiche und viel Platz zum Wandern. Die voll ausgestattete Küche und die Außenküche sind genau das, was Sie brauchen, um das Kochen zu erleichtern. Ein komplettes Badezimmer befindet sich zwischen zwei Schlafzimmern mit Queensize-Betten im ersten Stock. Im Obergeschoss verfügt das Master-Loft über ein Kingsize-Bett und eine eigene Suite mit einem begehbaren Kleiderschrank und einer freistehenden Badewanne. Im Wohnzimmer steht ein Futon für eine weitere Schlafmöglichkeit. Für mehr als 5-6 Personen bietet das Guest house Hideaway eine Mini-Küche mit Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und großem Herd, 1 Kingsize-Bett, 1 Queensize-Bett und ein weiteres Futon für zusätzliche Optionen. Das Hideaway verfügt auch über ein komplettes Badezimmer. Dieser Bereich ist ideal für Rückzugsorte für Teenager oder eine erweiterte Familie, die etwas Privatsphäre bevorzugen. Beide Bereiche schlafen 12-14 bequem. Wir haben einen schönen Garten, der immer mit Gemüse der Saison blüht. Angeln ist einfach und macht Spaß vom Dock in der privaten Bucht. Standup-Paddleboard, Kanu und Kajaks ohne Aufpreis verfügbar. Eine schöne Feuerstelle zum Entspannen, zum Rösten von Sumpflandschaften oder zum Kochen auf dem kommerziellen Tagebau mit Grillrost ist ebenfalls vorhanden.

Our second visit to this property; we'll no doubt return again. Lucinda is a wonderful host; great communication; very hospitable. The house is superb. The grounds are expansive and private. The inslet to the lake is secluded and very quiet. Proximity to shops is great. The lake is lovely. The sunsets are amazing! Recommended .... absolutely!

Family Getaway
From arrival to departure we enjoyed every detail of our stay. The beds were comfortable for a great night of rest. There is plenty of space to spread out on the property and enjoy the sunshine. We kayaked, used the paddle board, played yard games, grilled out, sunbathed, played cards checkers scrabble and made great memories. Lucinda was incredible to give space and still stayed in touch for any needs. We would recommend this property for sure!
The fireworks and air show over the lake area were a great Fourth of July bonus too.

Wonderful Property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We were only there for a weekend to see and photograph wildflowers in nearby Ennis, but the house and property were perfect for our family. The property is as described, but even nicer than the pictures suggest. The owner was very communicative and responsive to questions and needs. When I inquired if there was an electric kettle in the house, she initially responded that there was not, but when we arrived there was a brand-new electric kettle there for us. Also, on the road there I realized I had forgotten to bring s'more supplies but were happy to find s'more supplies waiting for us there along with fresh baked cookies! We definitely plan to return when we have more time to enjoy the lake.

Secluded lake property with the extras of a resort
Spent a fantastic weekend with our sons. So thoughtfully appointed with coffee pods, tin foil, shampoo and books of all types. Games, horse shoes, corn hole, blackberries ready to be picked, vegetables in the garden, canoes, kayaks. This property is well-designed and landscaped yet still very natural. Would rent again. The owner, Lucinda, responded very quickly to our questions, which is so helpful when renting.

Best spot on the lake!
Lucinda was an amazing host again, making sure we had everything we needed for a fun weekend with the kids. The Ranch House and Hideaway are so comfortable, we cant wait to go back. Plenty of games both inside and outside kept us all busy. The improvements on the property along the shoreline are so well done; easy access to the water for kayaking, paddle boarding or just floating. This is the best cabin on the lake!

Amazing views and amenities!!!
We had an amazing time and enjoyed all the views and amenities this home offered. It literally has everything. My wife sampled some Cauliflower from the fresh garden and we enjoyed the kayaks and yard games and grilled every night. The home is full of adventure and games for young children along with the beautiful yard to get lost in. Thank you very much for our stay we will be back.

Terrific property, wonderful setting. The owners have thought of everything. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities. The fire pit, and outdoor games, and water access kept everyone entertained throughout our stay. We would definitely book this place again in the future.

Beautiful well detailed home
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The property owners has this home well stalked with bug spray, sun block games and water items. My kids truly enjoyed their stay! My son became a master checkers player in a week and my daughter enjoyed swimming all day in the lake. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Beautiful Super Comfortable Home
This is such a beautiful property. We had a wonderful time and would love to return. This is perhaps the most well appointed and comfortable home rental I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The hosts truly thought of every detail and the outdoor grilling and hanging out situation is definitely top notch. All the furnishings are beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. Beautiful, Well-Appointed, and Cozy!
Everywhere you look is another beautiful sight! We have stayed in many VRBOs, but none have had as many details attended to throughout the home and grounds to ensure a wonderful experience as this one. Excellent communication with owner as well. This is a treasure just an hour or so from DFW - a perfect tranquil escape with lots of possibilities for fun included! We kayaked, fished, cooked out and in, enjoyed a bonfire and complimentary s’mores, played croquet, horseshoes, checkers, relaxed in several gorgeous seating areas, and loved every minute!

Both house and apartment were great for our family! Kitchens well stocked. Love the screen door on the pantry! Lake is right there, but far enough so that we could catch 3 year old if he headed that way. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Labor Day Weekend!!
It was a wonderful weekend! We were greeted with cookies and music, but it just got better from there! The house is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could need. We had the Roadhouse and the Hideaway which gave our group of 11 plenty of room for privacy when needed, but lots of room for gathering together for meals, board games, and conversation, as well. Comfy beds, nice linens and a fully stocked kitchen!
There is so much to do here, we never had to leave. Tons of games and puzzles for indoors and so many outdoor games, we didn’t have time to play them all! The sunsets in the evening were magical and we loved sitting around the fire at night!
We were struck by how quiet and peaceful it is here. You’d never know the hustle and bustle of the city is just one hour away. What a wonderful retreat! We are talking of making this an annual event!

Incredible Weekend!
This place was even more beautiful in person! The access to so many fun toys was perfect entertainment for the kiddos. The dock was exactly what the boys needed for some all day fishing. The cove made it feel so private and the shallow sanded area was a great way for the littles to play and mommas to feel secure. They provided several fun outdoor games for any age. My children lived outside the entire time we were there. The house was beautifully decorated and attention to detail made it super special. We made some amazing memories! Already talking of a annual trip.

Wonderful Weekend Retreat
Very clean and plenty of room for outdoor fun! The house is large and updated. Indoors, the open floor plan gave us plenty of space to cook, sit inside and watch tv or relax. The screened in patio is great for avoiding the direct sun and mosquitos, while still taking in the views of the lake. Outdoors, the covered patios and bbq area made perfect settings to eat, enjoy morning coffee and have afternoon cocktails. The property is large and would be great for family gatherings or business retreats. You have privacy and the owners were very welcoming. We had a wonderful time!

The Roadhouse is a great place to stay, well maintained, and fully stocked with everything appropriate for your stay. Owner was very responsive and flexible. When we ran out of one supply she had it delivered within an hour. We stayed with our three kids and it was the perfect spot.

Magical Place!
Magical. That's the best word I can think of to describe this property and the weekend we spent there. We rented the Roadhouse for a weekend getaway with our children and in-laws. EVERYONE from our youngest child to our in-laws had an absolutely amazing time. In fact, we had planned to leave the property and visit Yesterland Farms, but when it came time to leave everyone was having so much fun we decided to stay. There is so much to explore and do at the roadhouse.
The Roadhouse itself is beautiful. It's immaculately maintained and clean. I was completely blown away when I walked into the door. We were greeted with a beautiful welcome basket that included puzzles for the kids and everything we needed to make smores. The decor is perfect. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need while away from home. There is also a garden on property the owners invited us to use while we stayed which made our home cooked meals that much more special. The beds were all very comfortable as well.
The Roadhouse has tons to explore inside and out. There are loads of fun board games, dvds, puzzles, and books inside to enjoy along with yard games, a canoe and kayak outside. We loved taking nature walks through the trails and exploring. In the evening we sat around fire, watched the sunset, and ate smores. The view from the Roadhouse onto the private cove is breath taking. I loved drinking coffee in the morning while reading and watching the sunrise from the patio and then sitting around the fire in the evening to watch the sunset. It was so quiet and relaxing out there. I loved watching my kids be able to just play outside and BE kids. I would highly recommend the Roadhouse for your next family vacation. We will definitely be visiting again!
