Really loved the location of the house. The proximity to the beach was awesome. Loved being on this tree lined quiet street with ample parking. The house functioned well and was well stocked.. beds and linens were comfy! The only note I would make is that the 2nd bathroom is located in the garage (not noted in the listing) that being said, it was well appointed. Would def book again.

Perfect location and super friendly fly neighborhood! You can walk to the wedge, bay side or beach in just a few minutes. The yard is fantastic and the floor plan is great too! We’d go back for sure!!

Lovely patio for a large family in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Did the beach everyday and the kids loved it. Definitely planning on returning!

We have been coming to Balboa Peninsula for several years now for the week of July 4th. This rental definitely was one of the best. Very clean, great outdoor space, quiet neighborhood, hop skip and a jump to the beach and best of all the house was well stocked!! My family enjoyed their time here and we will be back!

We were excited to stay here because it was close the beach. But, When we checked in we noticed the house wasn’t very clean, dirty tables, floors, etc. It does not appear to be professionally maintained. Then on the second day we noticed ants all over the dining room & the patio. We let the owner know & they We’re responsive & sent pest control who sprayed outside. But it only got worse, More ants in the kitchen & we found bugs in the bathroom & nearly all of the bedrooms. But when we found a huge water bug by the sliding door & then One in the kitchen we decided to leave early. We were refunded for the nights we didn’t stay but had to scramble to find a new place. Solely due to their lack of responsibility to provide a clean, pest free rental. There’s an obvious, serious pest problem! The owners Literally have ant traps on the kitchen counters, under the cabinets & all over the house. In addition, there are no curtains in two of the bedrooms so you can’t really block the light out. And, you can’t open the windows because they don’t stay open & there are no screens. The house is listed as having AC but that’s inaccurate, there’s only one air conditioner in one bedroom. And, the coffee maker was dirty & very old, the sheets were old & worn too. It’s a real shame, The house is in a great location, has a garage & it’s a good size with a great patio. It could be fantastic, But these shortfalls were unacceptable in every way & ruined our trip. I’ve owned vacation rental homes in the past & it’s clear that this house needs some serious TLC.

Having no clue about the Balboa peninsula, we chose this particular property based on the pictures and the reviews. I pictured myself drinking coffee in the mornings on the lovely patio and it did not disappoint! The whole house and location was the perfect storybook vacation. Amenities were great , only thing we missed was having games on site to play at night. The house is darling and neighborhood is out of a movie set! It’s beautiful. We especially loved Max the neighbor cat who greeted us daily. Thank you!

It was a wonderful week. We had a great time and loved the house. Will be staying there again next year a New Holiday Tradition
