Welcome to Sunshine Cottage
Ein helles, fröhliches Willkommen erwartet Sie in diesem gemütlich gemütlichen Ferienhaus. Das Sunshine Cottage wurde im Jahr 2018 komplett renoviert und verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer mit voll ausgestatteten Bädern. Das Wohnzimmer hat eine Liege mit Ausziehbett. Der offene Wohnbereich führt zu einer großen Terrasse im Hintergrund mit Blick auf Wälder und eine Wiese mit einem nassen Wetterstrom. Der große Garten ist ideal für Kinder zum Laufen und Spielen und verfügt über eine Feuerstelle im Freien. A 2 Minuten zu Fuß die ruhige, Sackgasse hinunter bringt Sie auf das Deck am Fluss mit Ihrem eigenen Badehöhle (Durchschnittliche Tiefe 4 1/2 bis 5 Fuß, kein Tauchen!) Komplett mit einem natürlichen Schnitt, um Ihr Kajak zu starten.
Sunshine Cottage ist mit Zentralheizung ausgestattet, Wifi, Direct TV, Waschmaschine / Trockner, Holzkohlegrill mit Ihrer ersten Tasche von Holzkohle geliefert, alle neuen Geräte (Kühlschrank hat Eiswürfelbereiter,) Deckenventilatoren, Holzofen mit Brennholz geliefert, 2 Parkplätze, LED-Beleuchtung. Ein Britta Krug im Kühlschrank sorgt dafür, dass der Kaffee und Tee genau richtig schmeckt.

We did not know actually what to expect even tho we had done the review on line. We were totally pleased as soon as we stepped inside the door at Sunshine Cottage. Enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck. The glider was awesome. Will definitely stay there again.

Deer in the yard. We’ve stayed her twice now. Can’t wait to go back in late Fall. Always clean and quiet. Roomy and cozy enough for my family to come over and hang out and play board games. Came to welcome my new great niece into the world! Already planning our next trip up!

We loved our stay at Sunshine Cottage. It was perfectly situated. We were able to spend time at DeSoto State Park and Cloudland Canyon Park without having a long drive. Very quiet area and a generous backyard that our dog loved. Thanks for a refreshing retreat.

It was such a peaceful weekend in a beautiful place; the cottage was lovely inside and out, and I underestimated how well stocked it was (cooking utensils, pots, etc.) Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful cottage! Peaceful, tranquil and in the heart of Mentone. The hosts of this property are attentive, friendly, and have a wonderful attention to the details that a guest would need. We will return again! Thank you.

Very nice. We are about 70 and had a little trouble with the three steps on the front porch to get in, not too bad. Everything worked well. Enjoyed the washer and dryer. Beds were clean and firm, slept well. We had to leave early because trees fell on the power lines and knocked out the power. My wife has to use a oxygen concentrator at night so I couldn't take a chance that we wouldn't have power. This was not the property's fault.
The view out back, off the deck, was nice and serene, peaceful place to get away from the rush and relax.
We really enjoyed it.

Small friendly town . Both the cottage and the grounds were impeccably clean. My wife and I travel a lot and she prides herself in always packing everything we need and extra, but the property owner made sure everything was provided to make our stay like home away from home. This made my wife happy. Did I mention how much she raved about how CLEAN AND QUIET. Excellent. She said on a ten star rating she gives them a TWENTY!

My husband and I were in town for five days to house hunt in the area of Mentone. We stayed at the Sunshine Cottage with our boxer dog and it was just so comfortable. The cottage was immaculate and the host was very available. We will come back again.

Really enjoyed the location, close to Mentone, and great area to walk. Kitchen was well stocked and made cooking every night a breeze. Loved the fireplace and appreciated the supply of wood!

This property is very nice. It was perfect for our family trio and close to a lot of hiking. If you are looking to explore this part of the US, this cottage will be a great base camp!

Good place for two couples in a beautiful setting. The only complaint I had was prefer more seating in the living room over the daybed but we are all over 50. The setting was beautiful and the character of the farmhouse nicely restored.

The cottage was very quaint and extremely quiet. We didn't see anyone on the street we stayed on the whole time.
Very small town with a few restaurants the Wildflower cafe was fantastic, I had the Prime Rib with blue cheese it was the best and the service was second to none.
We would go back to both the cottage and Wildflower Cafe.

Ken and i and our little dog enjoyed our stay immensely at Sunshine cottage! The cottage is well kept and comfortable! The owners/caretakers take such good care to make the cottage truly a wonderful home away from home! we look forward to our next visit soon! ps please add one more blanket to closet, thank you!

The cottage was very clean and was in a quiet neighborhood, which we loved. Easy access to restaurants and we loved shopping at Fort Payne. This was a much needed trip for my Mother and I.

We have stayed here before. Love the cozy cabin like atmosphere! The use of antiques in decorating is right up my alley. Just a genuine place to come and kick back. Loved our vacation.

THE COTTAGE WAS GREAT JUST LIKE STAYING AT A FAMILYS MEMBERS PLACE. 2 BEDS AND 2 BATHS AND VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. MENTONE IS SLOW PACED AND QUIET A BEAUTIFUL BREAK FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF CITY LIFE. YOUNG DEER PLAYING IN THE YARD NEXT DOOR STAY WAS REAL NICE !

This cottage is absolutely amazing! Very comfortable, peaceful and quaint! The cottage provides all essentials during your stay. We only stayed for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! My kids loved the area! Mentone is an adorable little town and just a short drive to Fort Payne. Desoto State Park is a must if you’re visiting…swimming, waterfalls and lots of trails! Highly recommend this cottage!! We hope to be back soon.

From the moment we entered the cabin, you knew that the owner and hosts really care about this place. Everything is immaculate - clean, well stocked, and incredibly well maintained.
Great location: Down a dead end road, a block+ away from the busy street going through town, in a quiet neighborhood where you can walk your puppies safely, no traffic at all.
The yard around the cabin is huge - probably 2 +/- acres. Nice areas to sit and enjoy the surrounding woods.
The back deck is pleasant - very large.
Half a block to a private dock over a branch of the Little River.
I suspect they have a tankless water heater. It wasn’t an issue for us because my wife and our puppies came alone on this trip, but it was nice to have instant and endless hot water immediately when you turned on the tap.
Great guest information book, which appeared to have been updated recently.
Some good restaurants nearby (e.g., Wildflower).
A great little general store close by (Mentone Market).
There is a sidewalk about a block away that goes all the way into downtown Mentone if you want to stroll that far.
We really enjoyed our stay - it was a great place to wind down for a few days.

This is one of the most amazing places to stay in Mentone! The property is wonderful with lots of space to get outside. The inside is clean, comfortable and updated. All amenities needed for a great getaway are provided. This was my husband’s first visit and he loved it!

I truly cannot put our experience into words at this property. Check in was a breeze but the experience of walking through the absolute cleanest vrbo we’ve ever stayed in was even better. Getting to the back patio and seeing the property and view was an absolute calming feeling to all our hearts. We were stunned. From fire flies to fires at the fire pit, comfy beds to warm showers, home cooked meals to barbecued dinners everything about this place just melted our hearts and makes us want to return. The small town has some amazing people in it, we made friends even though we were just visiting. The waterfalls surrounding and the awesome history close by made it even more worth it. WHEN we visit again, we will absolutely stay here again.
