Location and clean , comfortable

The apartment is spacious, we had 3 pieces of luggage that we were able to open and move around. The property owner was extremely nice and helpful. The apartment had everything necessary including soap for washing dishes and clothes. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed. Location is superb, a couple of blocks from Gran Via and easily accessible.

I liked everything

It was nicely decorated, had a washing machine, iron and shutters that blocked out street noise and light. It was clean and the bathroom was nice.

There were renovations being done during our stay on the floor above which was unfortunate and did impact our stay.

The apartment is located in the city center so it's near boutiques and Gran Via metro station, but has little to no outside noise. Spacious for our party of three with 2 extra large luggages and 3 small ones. Complete kitchen and bathroom amenities so we saved up money by eating in. Beds were comfortable. Gustavo, Sylvia and family were superb hosts and is just a message away. Nearby Carrefour Express and alimentaciones.

There's an elevator but you have to go up a small set of stairs and go down again before you reach it, but it was not that much of big deal for us.

From the start of booking the host was in great communication with me and on hand if I needed anything pre-travel. On the day of check in, I was given clear instructions on what to do and who would meet me. I was greeted by Sylvia who was so friendly and so helpful. I was given some time to settle in, before I received useful information from Gustavo for recommendations in the city during my stay. That was so kind and useful. The appartment was very clean, spacious and had more facilities than I have experienced before. I was even given a welcome gift of a bottle of wine and mini muffins which was such a nice touch. Towels, soap, shower gel also provided, as well as a hair dryer and iron, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. Location is great, in the centre of Gran Via and a very short walk from the metro. After checkout my deposit was returned within hours. I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend it.

Truly excellent hosts! They kept great communication at all times and were very accommodating of my schedule. The location is central to so much, while also being super quiet. The apartment itself seems to be very recently renovated and new. Overall great!

The wifi signal in the room (3C) was poor, and my connection was intermittent. For me this was not a huge problem, but a wifi range extender would probably make sense.

Accommodating and friendly hosts. There are some nice touches upon your arrival. The flat is very clean and with all amenities you need.

One bed is very comfy, the other - not so much. It is a loud street, we did not mind it as we sleep well, but there are probably people who would.

- Communication with Gustavo was great and he was very responsive. He arranged to have his sister meet us to let us in. A different sister, Silvia, showed us how to use the 3 keys that we needed to use for the building door, elevator, and apartment. He sent us lots of information about restaurants in the area. When the hand-held shower nozzle fell and broke, Gustavo had it repaired the same day. - Silvia was great. It was really nice to have an actual person check us in, show us how to use the washing machine, and answer our questions about what some of the items were that we had seen in other apartments (mostly cleaning related products which are different from the US). - We stayed in apartment 3B which faced the street. The heavy interior wooden shutters kept out the worst of the noise. The apartment is in a lively area and the neighborhood dumpsters are nearby and used a lot. Bring earplugs. - It was obvious that someone had put a lot of thought in the every day usability in the kitchen and bathroom, unlike many of the places we stayed. There was a basket in the shower so the shampoo and soap weren't on the floor. There was a dish drying rack, soap for the kitchen, a place to hang towels to dry in the bathroom, etc. - We had plenty of hot water and the appliances were easy to use. Air conditioning and WiFi worked great. We had to do laundry and the washing machine worked great and the clothes rack was large enough to accommodate all the clothes. Gustavo and family supplied laundry detergent, diswashing liquid, soap, and shampoo. - There is a Carrefour Express 2 doors down.

- There is no door between the bedroom and the living room.

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped. Gustavo went to great lengths to communicate with us and to ensure everything was OK.

location was fantastic, three minute walk from the Grand Via and Metro. lots of Cafes / restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. The apartment was clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. our host Gustavo was lovely, friendly and helpful.

Very central location, 2 mins from Metro etc, in back street with various useful shops and 2 very good traditional/authentic ! restaurants 5/10 mins walk away. From our 2nd floor balcony you see the Edificio Telefonica, striking especially in evening light.. The flat has very quiet efficient temperature control. There is a useful baggage locker / laundrette close by for early arrivals or late departures.. The Host is extremely welcoming and helpful, offering to supply small things which make your stay more comfortable , eg more pillows ! He also offered to make restaurant reservations etc.

It was noisy when we were there since there happened to be building works going on, but double glazing and shutters minimised noise. The street is full of life anyway ( not noisy traffic through ).

location is great. just behind gran via primark. It is very central, you can walk everywhere. The house is warm, the apartment is clean and beautiful. The host is very helpful and easy to reach.

There may be a sound problem from time to time both inside and outside (due to the garbage cans next to the apartment). and there are homeless people right in front of the outer door, next to the garbage cans, and the street can not be a bit reassuring. but I did not witness an incident or we had no problems.

Very nice place. Very central, you can visit the whole city by foot. A lot of restauration facilities around. I would recommend to anyone visiting Madrid.

A few things to know: - This is a studio. There is no door between the living room and the bedroom. - Despite double glazing windows and heavy shutters can be noisy during the night.

Very centered location on side street. Easy to reach everything by walking or by metro. There is small supremercado and many restaurants very near by. I visited Japanese, Korean, and downstairs bar makes very delicious hamburgers (to take away too). Even authentic "Curry-wurst mit Pommes" you can find nearby. Very clean and well maintained apartment. Good for 1-2 persons.

Looks like they have in the 4.floor 2 apartments towards the street and 2 towards back of the house, I had 4. floor apartment towards the street. In the night time when the street is more calm, unfortunately there is a waste bin for empty bottles and you hear it in the deep of night when restaurants are throwing their used bottles to the bin. Get earplugs with you ! Other solution could be to make the balcony door better insulated !? For me the bed was much too hard, but for two nights fine. There was in Madrid football game Real Madrid - Celtic (from Scotland) when I was there, I was shocked of the behavior of the Celtic fans, almost a afraid, when i saw them in the CIty. Shouting, throwing bottles and waste everywhere :(

Everything was perfect. Even better than expected. The location is top, it is very clean, the host is very kind and the kitchen has all you need.
