Very nice, clean, updated finished basement efficiency with two bedrooms. Pool table was fun to play. About 10 minute drive to National Harbor which was convenient for us. Hosts provided eggs, milk, bread, bananas, and coffee for breakfast in the efficiency.
Freezer had no ice and ice maker didn't seem to work. Inside temp was fairly cold when we arrived and there is no thermostat in basement, but a space heater was provided which we moved from room to room.

The hosts are truly exceptional people. If I were to return to the DC area in the next few months or years, I would not stay anywhere else. It is a true home away from home. I will particularly miss the large space and the hospitality. And the cleanliness, which is exceptional. Last time they left a bit of extra snacks and goodies for me, I am a repeat customer, and that was greatly appreciated and welcome after traveling all day. I recommend this apartment (large apartment) very highly. If you book it, you are in luck; please be civil and clean, and treat this home like an educated and neat traveler.

Very nice facilities. Had large bedrooms. There was an exercise area with treadmill and bike (if you wanted to use them). A small work desk area. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed watching tv. Had a pool table if you were interested in that. They supplied some milk, eggs, bread, butter and fruit :) It was a wonderful place to land for a few nights while exploring Washington DC and the area. Came with a kitchen so you need to have that access, it's there but needs some more cookware.
Seems like they need more dishes. Planned to cook dinner there but glad we kept it simple because we could only cook in the microwave. The pots/pans supplied and other dishes left a lot to be desired. The pans were for larger groups of people and we just had the two of us. So soup and oatmeal were cooked in the microwave. Only had a few bowls and plates available. Couch was comfortable but hard to relax on -- pillows would really stay put so I could lounge on the couch and watch tv. Not a great cell signal available but might have been our carrier (Verizon).

There was a twin mattress in a closet. Some might not mind taking it out and setting it up. It would be a pain(in my opinion)
The Wi-Fi doesn’t work in one of the rooms. That could be fixed with a Wi-Fi extender.
There was no coffee maker or options to have coffee.
The fridge had no ice.

This apartment is always welcoming and clean. This was my 3rd stay and I will look forward to many long term stays in the future. I would like to add that the garden was made into a paradise by the owners. It is full of lovely red rose bushes and other colorful flowers thqt welcome the traveler from their first minute. I cannot wait to return.

This apartment is a home away from home. The hosts are wonderfully kind and hospitable. They give you full privacy, while also being there if you need anything! The apartment is spacious and clean. The neighborhood is extremely clean, quiet, and safe, in Ft Washington, very close to DC, close to the Reagan Washington Airport, and to Alexandria (there is a bridge in between). I will always book here and I prefer this place to any hotel room in the DC area!

First of all, let me say it clearly: this was by far the best stay I had in the past 10 years, and I stayed in many homes and hotel rooms (around 100 in the past 10 years).
The apartment is spacious, very well maintained, and very clean. This is surely the owners' merit. The bed was comfortable (I only used one bedroom as I traveled alone).
The food they provided was perfect for a healthy breakfast (organic eggs, oatmeal packs, milk, bread, butter, cheese).
I would return in a heartbeat.
The location is very close to the Potomac River and the residential area is very clean and very quiet. There are many trees and the river is visible from the cul-de-sac at the end of the street. I wanted to be isolated from the craziness of our capital, and wanted to be far from the noise and the traffic. And that is exactly what I got in Fort Washington! It's a healthy neighborhood, and an upscale community.
There is nothing that I did not like. As I said, I will return! The apartment is booked solid for a reason: it is a great value for the price.
I would give this place 6 stars if I could, on a scale of 0-5.

It was very comfortable. I loved the pool table! And some snacks and breakfast items were a wonderful touch as well.

Stone path and gate I don’t think there was any steps to deal with for people with disabilities. Might’ve been a curb to the path if you’re in a wheelchair. Dishes silverware provided dishwasher refrigerator microwave they had everything, this is one of our favorites! And private bathroom for a B&B this was awesome! oh for those who want to soak in a tub, no tub, it had a shower a big shower!
Absolutely nothing…Awesome price, huge amount of space it could even fit a pool table and exercise equipment Awesome! TWO bedroom come on!!
They had everything we needed we felt very comfortable being in the lower level of their home we didn’t find them to be very noisy, I hope we weren’t very noisy, just a real nice quiet neighborhood.

Quiet, comfortable and SUPER clean. Mattresses were great, wonderful size apartment for a couple with a daughter + a relative. Hosts were friendly and available in case we needed.

Very clean and exactly as described. My husband and I were very comfortable. There is a cute little patio with a table outside for our use with a Sunsetter type of awning. For this stay it was too cold to utilize the patio but it is there for our use. In the description it says breakfast is included so I was curious as to how that was going to work since this is the lower part of the owners house. Upon our arrival there was a fresh dozen of eggs, breads, fruit, yogurt, cream cheese, oatmeal packets, 1/2 gallon milk, butter and the cabinets contained any spices, etc. we might have needed. This was perfect. The neighborhood is beautiful too. We felt very safe.
I did have a couple of questions while there and the owner replied to my emails immediately. I was very pleasantly surprised that our towels where refreshed every couple of days, something other properties like this did not provide.
When traveling back to the DC area we will definitely check to see if this place is available.
There really isn’t anything that I didn’t like or had complaints about. The shower is small but for the few minutes each day that I would shower it was good. The only suggestion that I might have is to put an extra roll or two of toilet paper on the towel storage rack on the steps. But neither of these items would stop me from staying again and from giving this place a good review.

The hosts are wonderful people. The unit is clean, just as described. The best pillows ever. Fresh beddings, lots of towels. Functional kitchen. Nice iron!
WiFi coverage is very poor. Only works in the frontal part of the unit. There is no coverage in the room. AT&T cell coverage disappears. Yoghurt though complimentary was expired

No access to the thermostat. Basement was too warm. Would like memory foam pillows.

Multi grain breads for toast. Butter. Potatoes to make hash browns. A good can opener. Paper napkins?
