Cozy Mountain Cabin - Close to All with Free Wifi
Diese 2-Zimmer-Hütte mit 1 Bad (1 Etage), 925 m², in der schönen Fox Farm bietet ein ruhiges Bergleben und einen einfachen Zugang zu allem, was Big Bear zu bieten hat. Nur wenige Minuten entfernt finden Sie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, See, Wandern, 2 1/2 Meilen zu Skipisten und eine halbe Meile von Snow Play. Das Design der Mitte der Jahrhundertwende umfasst einen offenen Grundriss für Wohnbereich und Küche, eine gewölbte Decke mit viel Tageslicht, einen Dachboden und eine große Terrasse mit Whirlpool, Grill, Esstisch und Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien. Jedes der beiden Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett und das Loft verfügt über eine Futon-Matratze zum Schlafen und Spielen für Kinder, das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen Gaskamin und eine stapelbare Waschmaschine / Trockner-Einheit befindet sich im Bad. Die Kabine wurde kürzlich mit frischem Anstrich, neuen Holzfußböden und Möbeln umgestaltet. Die Betten verfügen über neue Matratzen, die recht fest sind, insbesondere wenn Sie zum ersten Mal darauf sitzen oder liegen. Sie sind jedoch mit der Memory-Foam-Gel-Technologie ausgestattet, so dass sie allmählich weich werden und sich um den Körper formen (beachten Sie jedoch, dass einige Gäste dies tun Die Matratze ist zu fest. This cabin resides in a corner of the forest in Big Bear. Conveniently located on a cul-de-sac as well. No noise, just peace and quiet. I highly recommend this place, it was perfect. We will defiantly return again for a 4th visit. :)

My husband, daughter, and I had an absolutely amazing time. Paula was so quick to respond to messages and gave all the information needed for our trip. The cabin was the perfect size, was clean, and had everything we needed. The backyard was absolutely amazing and perfect for sledding. We thought about going to the tubing park down the street, but the backyard was so much more fun! So many sleds to chose from and the hills were a blast. Perfect location! We will definitely be back!

We loved this cabin. Lots of natural light in the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Vaulted ceiling in the main section of the cabin. The cabin was clean and well maintained. As mentioned in the description the mattresses are pretty firm, so plan accordingly. The owner, Paula was very nice. We would definitely like to stay here again.

What an adorable cabin in Big Bear! Tucked away in a little cul-de-sac and close to skiing and downtown. Our family loved relaxing here with the cozy fire after a day at the mountain. Paula was amazing and very responsive to all my emails. We can’t wait to go back!

This is our 4th time staying here. Place is always clean, convenient to grocery shopping, drugstore, and Snow Summit, along with plenty of restaurants and ski rental shops in the area. Kitchen is easy to use (and is gas, which we prefer), and front room is very family friendly (big TV with good streaming channels, with board games and the like nestled underneath). Very cozy, and there is a reason that we are a repeat customer!

I am so happy we chose to stay here-- it was so cozy, very clean, close to town/markets/restaurants and had a perfect yard for my kids to play in the snow. The host gave me all the information needed, up front and it was very easy. If you are arriving at night, it may be hard to locate because the neighborhood was dark-- but GPS was fine, we just had to double-check the picture to make sure we were at the correct house. There were some great board games we played as a family-- Big Bear Monopoly and Oregon Trail board game (which was AWESOME! and we were happy to share Oregon Trail with our kids..) The towels were soft, there was a washer/dryer indoors (used dryers for our gloves) . The beds were firm, but did soften as the description said-- but my husband is a tall guy, and of course our little one wanted to sleep with us, so we were not comfortable in a queen-- but if it's a couple in one bed, you will be fine. :)
Kitchen was clean and had all utensils/cookware needed. If you are staying in the summer, there was a lovely patio off the dining area/kitchen that seems lovely to use.

Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Tons of snow and we didn't have to leave for the kiddos to play, they could play right in the back of the cabin. Only issue was there was a lot of dog hair on the area rug and we found a few sunflower seeds on the floor (we have a baby who crawls). But great location, cute little cabin. Would stay there again!

We loved this house. Great location in beautiful area. We had a problem with the heat, but the owner was very prompt with response and very apologetic. She handled it like a pro. We would love to come back and stay there again.

Cute Little Cabin!!
This cabin was great and had everything we needed. In a nice quiet neighborhood with beautiful views. Lots of places close by to visit and shop. Comfortable beds. The kitchen was fully equipped. Overall a great stay and we would stay here again.

Wonderful stay, as usual!
This is the 3rd (possibly 4th) time we’ve stayed here and it would have been more if it hadn’t been for the COVID lockdowns. The house is always clean, cozy and convenient (lots of cooking implements!) and the owner is extremely easy to reach. She really cares about whether you enjoy your stay and always gives us a heads up about weather conditions requiring chains.
It is about a 5-8 min. drive to the Vons and about a 2 min. drive to snow play. Also quite close to Bear Mountain/Snow Summit. Really cannot say enough good things about our stays over the years here!

Fun ski weekend
We stayed at the property for the weekend to go skiing with my 3 kids. The neighborhood is very quiet and it is easy to get to stores and the ski resorts. My kids especially liked having access to Netflix and Big Bear-o-poly. The shower could use an update (not great for tall folks) but the bathroom was very clean.

Our home in Big Bear
We just had the most wonderful weekend we've ever had. The cabin is absolutely stunning and the host is incredible. I almost don't want to make a rave review of this place so we won't have to share it with anyone else, ha!! Location is perfect, it's close to everything but also has that quiet mountain feel because the cabin was surrounded by towering pine trees. The house is fully equipped and designed with exquisite taste + comfort and function. We felt right at home. Many thanks to Paula who is the most wonderful, accommodating, and caring host ever. We will definitely be coming back. My 6-year old declared, "It's our home in Big Bear!"

Fun getaway
Great stay. Everything was as advertised. Quiet neighborhood and cabin was completely equipped. Paula provided detailed information which made the stay problem free. The cabin was clean and comfortable for the 2 of us. Didn’t really do any cooking but it was clear all the needed items were there to fix meals. If I could make 1 suggestion it would be to consider replacing the shower/tub stall. It was clean but a little tired from years of use. Not a deal breaker as we will be back again.

Amazing weekend
This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this cabin. We love the quietness of the neighborhood. There are tons of trees and you are not cramped up to other neighbors. I recommend this cabin to anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

Cabin review
Paula was absolutely amazing and the cabin is BEAUTIFUL!!! We will definitely be coming back in the winter. The only complaint I had was it had no A/C so the cabin got up to 92 degrees during the day. However, it was nice and cool in the middle of the night to sleep!

Great owner and beautiful property
We had a great time at the property, but not just that the owner Paula went out of the way and adjusted our travel dates due to a snow storm warning without charging any fees whatsoever. She had to pull some strings to make that happen but she did it. We so appreciated the property, it was so fun for the kids with all the snow play gear at the property.

I really liked how accessible the balcony qas from the kitchen as well as the furniture layout for the living room. Another nice touch was little outlet lights in both bedrooms, bathroom and living room.

Great for kids
We had a great time at the cabin. It is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, has a kitchen that is fully equipped for cooking, and has a backyard on a slight slope that is great for sledding and snow play. The house comes with plenty of sleds and games too! Highly recommend.

The cabin is in very good condition, very spacious, it is well equipped with everything you need, comfortable, almost everything is perfect, the only bad thing is that the floors were dirty, also the carpet, rugs, chairs and it seems that they did not change the sheets because they were full of sand or I don't know what it was and there was hair everywhere.

Great Getaway
We had a great time at Paulas home! Started with a surprise early check in , which was so appreciated. From there the home is so spacious and decorated beautifully. Our toddler loved running around and had more than enough space. We spent most of the weekend in the rental and really felt comfortable and at ease. Can’t wait to book again!

This was our third time staying at Paula’s place, and once again we had a great time! We love the area that this cabin is located in. We love talking to the neighbor(s). We love the view of the stars from the patio :) The property is always clean and comfortable and has everything our group of four needs. Paula is always responsive and accommodating. Recommend!

Quiet, peaceful and a relaxing time!
This was our second stay at the Ashwood cabin. We love escaping to Big Bear, and the value of this cabin is rare! We absolutely love the deck, and the peaceful neighborhood. There are amazing patio chairs on the front deck, and it’s a perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down behind the trees. Paula is great with communication, easy to work with, and we have been impressed overall with both of our stays. Highly recommend.

Quiet and clean weekend escape
The cabin is in a cul-de-sac off the main road, so you get some seclusion and quietness. The open floor plan is spacious and airy due to the high ceilings and windows (light! 🙂). A fully equipped kitchen made preparing meals effortless. The main draw was the balcony patio with bbq and dining set. We had precious meals outdoors and played board games. Overall, a great getaway perfect for families or couples looking to relax!
