We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Camaleon! It is a beautiful and well-maintained property that was perfect for our nine family members ages 11 to 83. The layout is excellent, the pool and grounds are lovely, and the sunsets are breathtaking. The concierge service made our trip seamless for planning excursions, a driver and chef service. Thank you to Adriana, Kevin, Juan Carlos, and Maria for making sure everything was perfect. You helped us create beautiful memories that we will cherish.

The gardens and location of Casa Camaleon were very private and lush. Our favorite part of the day was sunset. Every day was another gorgeous view. The Pool is spectacular and we spent a lot of time there. We loved the house and the caretakers, Maria and Juan. They went out of their way to make everything very special. The rooms were large and was nice to have a bathroom with each bedroom. We used the exercise room daily and hired a yoga instructor, Nina, who was excellent. Our driver, Germain, was so patient and kind and made it a very nice way to see everything esp with little children. Our chefs- Mark, Rodrigo and Antonio did breakfast every day and dinners. It made it a real vacation! The catamaran trip was a real hit with our group and the spa treatments- massages and nails at the house were also excellent! We are refreshed and fell in love with Costa Rica! Thank you Star Villas- Sandy, Adriana and Kevin for taking such good care of our family!

We loved the property, the location, and the staff! We had a great week with private transportation and chef service. Everyone was so nice! A couple of items I would say need attention in the home would be the refrigerator runs very loud, new stove as a couple of burners seemed to not get hot and for the property the stove is dated and too small. The house could use a few new pots and pans as well! Outside of that, the house was perfect and close to downtown which we loved!

We had an excellent stay. The house and staff are amazing! The sunsets from the house are some of the best I’ve ever seen. The breakfast made each morning and the two nights with the chef were delicious. Every activity from golf, fishing, or scuba was set up with a simple text with top notch services. We had a great time and will be back.

We had a truly memorable vacation with our entire family: 8 adults, 2 children, and an infant. The villa was spacious with room for us to gather outside or inside. The bedrooms were perfect and there was a pack ‘n’ play for our grandson! The gorgeous pool was enjoyed by all. Maria kept the villa in order despite the crowd. She even made us her guacamole & pico de gallo, a hit with everyone! Kevin, our concierge through Star Villas, made recommendations for activities, beaches, & restaurants. He was always present when we set off or returned from excursions and quickly solved any hiccoughs that occurred. We found that dining was easiest at the villa where we had a beautiful view of Coco Bay. Rocio served scrumptious brunches as well as a few dinners during our stay. She made my granddaughter’s 4th birthday party special with a cake & piñata! Gabriel, our driver, was absolutely wonderful, looking out for the children all the time. He was always pleased to take us on our various excursions. On one excursion, he acted as our guide. Without his assistance, it wouldn’t have been the exceptional experience it was. Before we said goodbye, he thanked us for visiting his country. Everyone agreed that Casa Camaleon was perfect for our family, 7 days in paradise!

One of our best trips to Costa Rica. So many things about the house are incredible - layout, views, setting, pool, entertaining areas, location and more! The Star Villa staff was a bonus. They helped organize our sight seeing, our private chef and hiring a driver for the entire week at a very reasonable price. I don't typically want to visit the same area or home twice, but I would definitely stay here again.

Do yourself a favor and book this property! It's amazing; we rented it for a girls 40th birthday trip and it was perfection. The grounds of the home are spectacular- our group regularly walked the acreage and discovered the most spectacular views. The layout was perfect for the ten of us- the gym and kitchen are well appointed, and Maria keeps it spotless with daily cleanings. The indoor/outdoor living allowed everyone to enjoy the pool and amazing sunsets with cocktails in hand. Kevin, our on site concierge was welcoming, knowledgeable and so fun - he even bartended for us one evening. The contracted spa services were wonderful- many in our group said it was the best massage they had ever gotten. The private chef was a treat and made for such a special birthday dinner. The highlight was the private catamaran. The crew was so fun, the lunch was fresh and creative and the dolphin and turtle sightings were such a treat. The crew even had a cake made to help us celebrate. This was a vacation to remember- the property is spectacular, the concierge group handled everything so seamlessly, and the short walk to the beach was enjoyable. Ten out of ten. We will be back!

Our family if 8 had an amazing vacation at Villa Camaleon. We had three generations of family staying together and there was plenty to do for all. And plenty of space to spread out if we wanted. We loved seeing all of the wildlife. We even had a monkey toss a fruit at my daughter from the roof of the villa one evening. Also enjoyed the chef dinners on several evenings. Such fresh and tasty food each time! The catamaran day was a highlight of our trip as well as the adventure day trip and the in-home massages. A special thank you to Maria for all of her help each day and the wonderful breakfasts she made for us. And the rest of the team was very responsive as well. A wonderful time was had by all. We would highly recommend this villa.

Our adult daughters/spouses joined us for our 35th wedding anniversary trip at Casa Camaleon. It is a fantastic property, spacious, gorgeous views, easy walk to beach and shops. Kevin was an awesome help each day giving us restaurant & excursion guidance. Wildlife surrounds the home: iguanas, monkeys, parrots, butterflies & more. We had chef (request Ricardo! :) prepare breakfasts each morning, and had 2 chef prepared dinners at the home, so we had happy hour by the pool while chef made dinner & we enjoyed the stunning sunset. Our best getaway ever!

This property was perfect for our 3-generation family. A beautiful house with an amazing staff that went above and beyond. Maria kept the house spotless and even voluntarily did some laundry for a grandson. Cloudio, our driver, was dependable, pleasant and helpful, and Kevin, the concierge, arranged some unforgettable outings. Whether lounging around the pool, sipping cocktails at sunset, or cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen, we will always savor the memories of our time together in this very special place.

We had a great experience at the villa. Amenities, pool, deck, pool toys, WiFi with Sonos system is nice touch. Beautiful place with stunning views of the bay. Multiple hectares to explore.

I really can’t say enough about Casa Camaleon and everyone involved. We had a wonderful time and want to return. The layout of the house and indoor/outdoor setup is very conducive to entertaining and visiting. The views are spectacular and literally 180 degrees across the Bay. It’s a short walk to the beach. We had a van w/driver for excursions and rented a golf cart for short trips to town. The boat trip we did was one of the highlights. Maria is the best and keeps the house spotless. Her Guac was amazing, and I highly recommend you have her make some! Thanks for the wonderful family trip and memories created. We will be back!

Our family of ten--6 adults and 4 teenagers--were treated to an extraordinary experience. The house and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The driver service made our excursions enjoyable and worry-free. The housekeeper was a bonus and so helpful with breakfast, house upkeep, and laundry. The ability to text questions in the app helped with our plans even when the tropical storm came through the night before we left. Star Villas took care of us. The catamaran trip was enhanced by dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Our trip with the naturalist guide to zip line, ride horses, experience the mineral baths and more was truly an adventure. The pictures do the house justice. The view especially at sunset is priceless. In fact, our family experience was, as they say, priceless.

Not one hiccup, not one disappointment, not a thing to change. It is an immaculate home with gracious and friendly staff and the view from every bay facing window, deck and seating on the patio was stunning. A visit by Howler monkeys was special, walking and exploring the grounds showed us new views of the bay and different areas to watch the indescribable sunsets. You will not be disappointed!!! We had a group of 10 friends spend 5 days at this villa. The house is beautiful, The views breathtaking and the location was perfect! Just a short walk to the beach, the pool was clean and ready to go every morning. We had a blast and will be back!

I’m not sure how to begin this review, without saying WOW! This home and all of the services can be described as nothing less than perfection! The stunning home, the outdoor scenery, the concierge services, Maria our housekeeper and Juan Carlos our driver… they were all fabulous and made sure that our vacation was perfect. They absolutely delivered on all counts! The entire team was dedicated to making sure that we had a blast, and we absolutely did! Thank you Sandy, Guillermo, Diego, Juan Carlos & Maria! We can’t wait to come back!

We've booked many locations across the world and this takes the cake!! I don't have enough words to express how much our group enjoyed this property. Starting with the Star Villas management team, our personal driver, personal chef, and the house crew. The property was even better than the pictures illustrated. We had more than enough space and amenities in the house. The grounds were beautiful and the views from the pool were breathtaking. We will be making a return trip. The overall experience was amazing. If you are seriously considering visiting Costa Rica, put this at the top of your list.

The house is amazing and the concierge service is the best. Super clean and comfortable, great exercise and game room, very spacious and beautiful pool with amazing views. Would absolutely stay here again!

The house is even better in person than what you see in the pics. We were picked up at the airport in a good sized van with plenty of space for our group as well as luggage. Our driver was very helpful suggesting a great place to eat along the way as we were starving after a not so pleasant experience with our airline. Once we got there, we forgot all our troubles with our flight. The house is amazing. Diego was very helpful in getting info and resolving some minor issues. Maria, the housekeeper, was just plain awesome. The guy cleaning the pool and surrounding areas was there several times a day to make sure there were no leaves in the pool area. Overall, the staff was great and helpful and everything was well maintained. The view was amazing. You can hear the waves from the beach below which was very nice. You're a bit elevated so it was a little cooler than at ground level downtown (which was nice because it gets hot/humid). The pool is not heated but was still fairly warm most of the time (including at night). The grounds are huge with spectacular views all over. We were concerned with the weather reports which showed 80/90/100% chance of rain every day of the trip. It was slightly overcast at times and we had one tremendous rain that lasted only about 1/2 hour or so. The rest of the trip was sunny. I'm as gringo as they come and I got a nice tan with fairly judicious use of sunscreen. We got massages in house which were better than down town. We had 1 dinner catered by the chef which was also great. We were easily able to book trips on a catamaran/sailboat as well as hiking. We rented 2 golf carts for 8 people which was perfect for getting around. There are different supermarkets depending on your needs (Automercado is more American; Super Luperon and others are more local). There are plenty of restaurants (ex Mar Azul, Guayoyo, etc.), banks, shopping, beaches not too far from the house (golf cart recommended). Very minor issues were water takes a long time to heat up and low water pressure in 1 shower (there is a bathroom/shower in every room and others did not have same problem). Other than those minor issues, we were all very happy with the house. The only thing we we really unhappy with was having to leave and go home.

Beautiful property and star villas management did a great job from checking in, planning our daily activities, chauffeur and restaurant reservations. House keeper Maria was an asset for the property.

We rented Casa Camaleon to celebrate a birthday. Communication with the property managers was great. They responded right away with any questions we had. Sandy was extremely helpful and made the check-in process quick and easy. The house is absolutely amazing. It was extremely clean, the beds were all comfortable. The view is breathtaking! The breakfasts each morning were always delicious. This was by far our best vacation. We can’t recommend Casa Camaleon enough!

A group of eight, four couples, stayed a Villa Camaleon for one week February 21-28. The villa itself is very large and comes with everything you need. From our first email in June 2019 to our arrival communication with the house manger was flawless. Responded promptly prior to arrival and was there when we arrived to show us the villa. The breakfast was a very nice touch as it was a great start to each day. Coffee was on at 7 am and they had a simple variety of options each morning. It was cooked and put in a warmer so the late risers still had a hot breakfast. There are two bedrooms that are facing the ocean with king beds and three more bedrooms at the back with converted doubles to kings and two queens. Every bedroom had a very nice ensuite bathroom. There is a very large media room in the center of the house that connected all the bedrooms that we never used. It might be more useful if you have kids that want to watch movies or tv. We spent all of our time outside, the infinity pool is fantastic, great views of the sunset and lots of sun during the day. There is a covered area so you could sit in the shade along with a hammock and a dinning table that would seat twelve. Every afternoon we had a visit from a group of howler monkeys that had lunch in the trees next to the villa and a very large iguana that sat in the tree by the pool. We also opted for the in-house dinning on our first night and it was 10/10. Between the selection, service and food it was well worth the price. We walked into town each day morning (15 minutes) and sometime we would taxi home or walk the beach back. There is plaza within 5-10 minute walk that has four very good restaurants. Great place, highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff and villa manger for all their hard work.

This property was amazing! The pictures do not do the view justice! We relaxed on the upper deck to the sound of the ocean waves watching the sun go down every evening. It was so relaxing. A very short 5 min drive into a cute town full of great restaurants and a fun bar scene. Lots of excursions available at nearby coco beach made it easy to keep my kids entertained. The house was beautifully maintained. Fresh breakfasts every morning provided by Maria and Juan keep the pool and pool decks clean every day. Shuttle to and from the airport, they truly thought of everything! We did not have to lift a finger and got to spend every second enjoying quality time with our kids. All in all, it was a fantastic getaway and we hope to stay here again soon!
