Welcome to our Cozy Cabin Getaway by Lake Texoma!
Willkommen im Getaway! Sei es eine Person - ein Paar - Familie - usw. Sie werden wirklich "Flucht" von der Hektik des Alltags sein können. Was Sie auf Ihrem Kurzurlaub wählen, liegt ganz bei Ihnen!
Dieses gemütliche Seehäuschen befindet sich auf der Rückseite eines Waldgrundstückes, das im Winter Schatten spendet und einen Blick auf den See bietet! Die Kabine hat neue Parkettböden, große zentrale Wärme / Luft, voll ausgestattete Küche, Brettspiele, Gasgrill, Feuerstelle, Baum Hängematten, etc. Genießen Sie den großen Wohnbereich, der auf drei Seiten von Fenstern umgeben ist und einen herrlichen Blick auf das Grundstück bietet. Die geräumige Terrasse ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt von Grillen, Entspannen in Baum Hängematten, hängen an der Feuerstelle, etc! Auf dem Grundstück befinden sich zwei Lagergebäude, von denen eines in ein Etagenhaus umgewandelt wird. Der zweite wird als kleiner Waschraum genutzt (großer Frontlader Waschmaschine / Trockner). Viel Platz für ein Zelt oder Wohnmobil auf dem Grundstück (Verlängerungskabel für die Stromversorgung). Die Nachbarschaft hat eine eigene Bootsanlegestelle mit Bootssteg und kleinem Strandbereich (ideal für Kinder und Erwachsene!), das ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß von der Unterkunft (oder ein paar Minuten Fahrt) und kostenlos zu benutzen. Wir haben ein Kajak (Angelstil), das auf Anfrage und Verfügbarkeit zur Verfügung steht.
Der Kurzurlaub bietet derzeit kein Internet / WLAN, aber der Handyempfang ist großartig. Wir haben sogar einen Hot-Spot auf einem Telefon verwendet, um mehrere Geräte ohne Probleme zu verbinden. Es gibt einen Fernseher mit eingebautem DVD-Player, der nicht für den täglichen Gebrauch eingerichtet ist, aber zum Ansehen von Filmen verfügbar ist.
Es gibt ein großes Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett, aber es gibt Platz für Babybetten und Luftmatratzen in der Umgebung. Sie können auch eine Luftmatratze oder zwei im Wohnzimmer verwenden.
Wir bevorzugen kleinere Gruppen in der Unterkunft, aber neben uns befindet sich eine Doppelmiete, wenn Sie nach zusätzlichen Vermietungen in der Umgebung suchen, um eine größere Gruppe zu kombinieren! Ganz zu schweigen von ein paar anderen Angeboten in unmittelbarer Nähe unseres Standortes.

Cozy, Comfortable Cabin
This was our second stay at the Cabin. We love the location, the subdivision is super quite and has a neighborhood boat launch which is a big plus. The Cabin is like a home away from away with all the comforts needed for a great stay and the decor is super cute. Dusty & Lori are the most gracious hosts, easy to communicate with and always available when needed. We will definetly be back for another visit.

This place was so great. It was nestled in a quaint neighborhood. The house had everything that we needed and more. Lori was very responsive and friendly. They even have a guide book with directions to any local restaurants, stores etc.

Adorable, Comfortable Cabin Getaway
The cabin was decorated so adorable. It had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The location is fabulous and the neighborhood is quite. The owners were so easy to communicate with and were very responsive. We are looking forward to our next stay in Sept.

You could spend your entire vacation right in the neighborhood with walks to the small boat launch and marina just minutes away or on the deck enjoying the shade trees and the birds singing. We enjoyed our trips to the nearby wildlife refuges and fishing on Lake Texoma. Lori and Dusty are great hosts and did way more than anyone who has hosted us before. The home is well stocked and very nicely finished. I highly recommend this property and hosts Lori and Dusty. And I almost forgot you have a nice quest quarters and you have nice laundry on site.

Anniversary weekend success!
COVID kept us from anniversary vacation last year but dusty and Lori more than made up for it! They made us feel more than welcome and made everything perfect. Could not have planned a better place!

Spring Break Getaway
Cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay here. The owners were amazing, especially Lori. The cottage is as described and they made sure that any amenity you could think of was there! It was such a pleasant surprise to see how much thought they put into our stay. From the wonderful gift basket to the stocked medicine cabinet, everything was top notch. We could relax and enjoy ourselves rather than have to worry about what we didn’t have. I recommend this place to anybody looking for a quality experience. We will be going back for sure. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!

I read rave reviews about this cabin and the owners before booking and they were spot on! Arrived to a personalized welcome note and basket of goodies from Trader Joe’s which was a really nice touch. Couldn’t have had a better experience, thanks Lori and Dusty!!!

Lori is amazing! Everything (and I do mean that literally) you could possibly want was provided. The property was immaculate and the neighborhood was very quiet. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s a hidden jewel!

Cannot recommend highly enough!
I was looking for a place for my husband and son (14yo) to get away for the weekend. This property was the PERFECT choice. Dusty and Lori really go the extra mile for their guests! I don't want to give away any of their secrets, but those of you who have teenagers in your life will probably click "book" within 60 seconds when I tell you that my son texted me "this place is so nice, and these people are so nice." Truly, this is not like other places we have rented from...they REALLY REALLY care about how their property looks (it is CLEAR they maintain it well), and that their guests have what they need to enjoy themselves. Their communication was so good (via VRBO messages, texts, documents they emailed ahead of time, etc) and they also recommended a great place to rent a jet ski (which my guys had a fabulous time on). My guys had a great weekend away, and that is due in a HUGE part to Lori, Dusty, and their uber-clean, uber-organized house.

Great Getaway
Dusty and Lori provided a great experience for the 4 of us. The house has everything you could need except for meals which was a nice touch. It was extremely clean which is important during the time of COVID. The place is minutes from the lake and has board games and a fire pit to keep kids entertained. Definitely will be staying here again.

Clean, Comfy, and Close
We had a wonderful experience staying at "The Getaway". It was easy to get to while still feeling secluded. Dusty and Lori have thought of everything that you might need and their place was VERY clean! It was perfect for our family of 4! We were able to easily rent a boat slip at the nearby Mill Creek Marina and was an easy drive there and back each day, sometimes more than once each day. While there, I did have a question and Lori was so quick to respond and accommodate us! We highly recommend their home for anyone who is looking to stay in this area!

Awesome location on Texoma Lake. Striper were biting early in the day and we were able to find some late afternoon shade on one of the nearby islands both days we were on the lake.
This property is the perfect place to go back to after a long day of lake activity. So accommodating plus a serene setting amongst the trees. Can’t wait to get back!

Lakehouse Bliss
We had the most amazing family vacation. Our absolute favorite vacation yet. Lori and Dusty are the most fantastic hosts. The Lakehouse is soo beautiful. Nestled in a sweet wooded area. They have thought of it all. Gorgeous mornings spent on the porch, natural light pouring in the windows and evenings spent roasting s’mores around the fire. Everything was soo well thought out. All the fine details were soo appreciated. This truly is a gem!!! We will absolutely be back!!

Perfect Lake House
Just wanted to tell Lori and Dusty thanks for the quick responsed and great lake house, the kids love it and cant wait to go again. Even though we really could have a plan due to school work and video chats but with the help of the homeowners and ALL the info layout and places around the area we got out and enjoy our time away from the city and mostly the kids being kept inside for weeks. Thanks again and will be back soon for sure!

My family and I really enjoyed The Getaway. Perfect location close to the lake! The cabin is clean and very very comfortable. We had an exceptional Easter weekend to say the least! Thank you, Lori & Dusty for being such great hosts!

This is my second time staying here and I have to say; the property owners have got to be the nicest people you'll ever rent from. The cabin is cozy and even though it was December and not exactly lake season it was still a perfect retreat. The open living room with multiple windows gives a very spacious and calming feel. The owners have amassed a very nice collect of books&games and are very giving in that they always leave a welcome basket for their guests; it'd be an understatement to say the owners treat their guests great! Thank you!

One of best experiences in a VRBO!! Owners were amazing to work with and the property was beautiful and just what we needed. Pictures do not do it justice, it is paradise. Since we didnt know the area, we were a bit sad the lake wasn't closer, but really we didn't care, the house was all we needed. Highly recommend!
