Much Enjoyed our time there and loved the location.

The property was exactly as listed and described. The location was perfect with nearby trailheads, quiet streets to walk with our dogs, a beautiful lake nearby, and a quick drive to the main town shops. The porch is gated and fully enclosed which made it great for our dogs. The house itself was cozy and had plenty of towels and necessities. The hot tub was easy to use and very relaxing after a day of hiking. I highly recommend it, especially if looking for a dog-friendly getaway.

Our stay at this house for the week couldn’t have been better. The house was everything we expect from the pictures. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved that the lake was so close and we were able to walk there everyday.

Had pretty much everything we needed. Plenty of wild life just off the deck.

Awesome location just a few minutes from skiing. House was clean and perfect for our family of 6. Hot tub was a hit.

Everything was great except the fireplace didnt draw very well and smoke came inside the cabin. Maybe just a flu cleaning?

Quick Fall getaway, the colors were beautiful, the village was quiet, the wildlife around this house was off the charts! I have never seen so many deer in my life. The out door space here is beautiful, we ate outside each day, it’s close to trails and the lake, it’s just a perfect setting

The cabin was clean, warm, lots of fresh towels and linens. The dog pen in the backyard was a HUGE bonus so we could have our pets along for the wedding weekend. And can’t forget how amazing it was to have a clean hot tub. THANK YOU for allowing us to have the perfect home experience away from home!

This was the perfect house for us to enjoy a break from the demands of life and the blistering Texas heat!!!

Was a nice cabin and pretty clean. They need to leave a key for the outdoor deck door from the main bedroom. This time of year with the record heat it was pretty warm so some AC units would make it a perfect place to stay. Close to town and Eagle Nest lake.

The Location was so beautiful, including the deer. The cabin was clean and well supplied with towels, a washer and dryer, 3 TVs and a variety of herbs and spices for cooking. The fire pit was perfect for smores and the sunsets and night skies were spectacular! The cabin was close to Monte Verde Lake which kept the kids busy for most of the day. All in all, a great place to get out of the heat and relax.

The cabin's toilets are VERY low to the floor. Lots of beautiful deer, raccoons, wild turkey and so much more just out your window.

April Long Weekend Getaway
Pros: the location! There were several deer that gathered around the cabin, morning and evening! Absolutely amazing! The small lake is close by, excellent for taking walks and nature views. The amenities at the lake are closed though including fishing. The cabin itself was clean and beautiful. (Only thing not clean was the external windows, which was unfortunate because it made it difficult to see the beauty outside through them)
The beds were very comfortable. The house is cozy.
Cons: the cabin wasn't as big as the pictures made it look. The kitchen area is a bit narrow, so cooking as a team wasn't very easy.
It's an extra $150+tax charge for the hot tub. With the amount you pay each night and the extra fees, it should be included (my opinion based off the several cabins I have stayed in). We were also only supplied 3 rolls of toilet paper for a 3 night 4 day stay and 6 adults and 2 children... that didn't last. So we ended up running out of toilet paper and paper towels. We did end up purchasing some to cover us for the morning... but the property managers did bring more after reaching out to them.
Overall, the stay was pleasant!
We are praying for the community and surrounding areas that are on fire or in the fire danger zone.

Spring break success
Loved the cabin, great location. Many deer came by everyday! Would recommend 4WD, if getting much snow. We had SUV with chains and couldn’t get out to the main road.

Family Get Away
The home was nicely appointed and clean. Beds and pillows were mostly comfortable and everyone slept well. Talking on the phone with the manager to come unlock the hot tub went ok. He was not reassuring that it would get done but it did and not the friendliest. I didn't see a place to pay for the hot tub when booking, so I had to pay an additional $150 to use the hot tub. Maybe get that squared away before you arrive. We did see wildfire come onto the property which was so nice. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. They are building a home across the street that will eventually block the view of the lake. Still a nice walk to the lake and back. They do need to move furniture when cleaning because under the couch, it was very dirty (noticed when our dog lost a toy that rolled under it). The rest of the home was very clean, comfortable and we enjoyed using the cabin.

We had a great time here. Kids loved feeding the friendly deer and fishing in the nearby lake. We’d do it again!

Beautiful updated cabin
Beautifully updated and well appointed cabin. Great layout for our family with kids ranging 1-8 yrs old. Convenient for Monte Verde lake access and exploring the Enchanted Circle. Only drawback was the close proximity to the main highway that passes through Angel Fire. I was surprised that the proximity of the highway had not been mentioned in other reviews. Not a huge issue but worth mentioning that you can hear road noise from the deck as well as the bedrooms when the windows are open. Despite proximity to the road, we would rent and stay again in a heartbeat. The deer were present every morning and evening and even ate from our kids’ hands. The owner left peanuts to place outside of the glass door for a chipmunk who visited frequently as well, much to our kids’ delight! All appliances were working, linens clean, and house was exactly as pictured in the listing. Check in was different than we have experienced in previous rentals where a code to the door or lockbox was provided, which we find more convenient, but at this rental you must go into the property manager’s office to collect and return keys. Property manager was not flexible AT ALL on check in or out times, in fact they wanted to charge us to check in a mere 30 minutes early despite the property being ready. They did respond promptly when we had an issue with the chemicals/balance of the hot tub. Overall a great experience and we would stay at this location.

Great place to stay with family
We had a wonderful time at this cabin. There was plenty of room for Me, my husband and our 6 children. Fun activities to do nearby like horseback riding and paddle boating. We would love to come stay again in the future. Check in got a little stressful because we checked in after hours and I wasn’t sure what the code was for the box but we got a call back after about 15 minutes and got to the cabin soon after. All in all, a great place to stay!

Annual Family Fishing Trip
Our stay was great. The house was extremely clean and well kept. There was a spare propane tank for the propane grill and charcoal for the charcoal grill. Check in and check out were extremely easy. Thank you

Great time property for New Mexico get away
The house is great for families. Contrary to other reviews all Appliances worked, neighborhood was close to main road yet tucked away. Beds were comfortable and the cabin is only a 5 minute drive to town. The house also has a great sunset view. Only downside was the upstairs bathtub frame was very slow. But in the grand scheme of a trip to the mountains that was a minimal inconvenience.

Good location
Nice home. Beautiful views. Deer visit everyday. Awesome hot tub.

Great cabin, maintenance issues
This is a nice cabin in a good location but there are maintenance issues. The dryer did not work. The freezer did not work. One window did not have any way to lock it. Also, the showerhead is oversized and was angled in a way that lead to water running out of the shower. All of this and the property manager only offered to give us a $100 credit for a five night stay! Maintenance is important and I doubt that we were the first to bring these problems to their attention since we were told that this is one of the more popular units.

Relaxing Cabin
The first floor has wonderful views with the large windows. We enjoyed the views and the hot tub. The king size bed on the first floor is high, so shorter people will have difficulty getting onto the bed. The space between the refrigerator and the kitchen countertop is narrow, the dryer takes a long time to dry clothes, and the upper floor can get warm. I would not recommend for the very elderly. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful property
Cabin was very clean and well appointed. A little close to a fairly busy two lane blacktop. Other than that it was great. The lake has paddle boards, kayaks, peddle boats and other rentals. Deer and chipmunks visited every day to eat out of the feeders. Fire pit was great for s’mores.

Amazing Cabin in an amazing place!
First time in Angel Fire and was overwhelmed by the beauty and magnificence of the land, the cabin was not far behind, loved the large windows you could see the beautiful trees and wildlife. The owners were nice enough to leave deer corn and bird feed, so we made lots of friends at our stay. The cabin was clean and well organized. Hiking is close by the cabin, beautiful trails in Red River, the alpine lakes are well worth the hike!
Wonderful town with amazing people and restaurants.
