This villa was AMAZING and we would recommend this place to everyone!
We used this villa for a family honeymoon trip and it was perfect! Each room is spacious and features a bathroom which made for a fantastic experience. Everyone was able to be with the larger group yet get away with the ease of privacy and comfort if needed. With ACs in every bedroom, we were able to enjoy cool nights amidst the warm Caribbean air. The master bedroom was perfect for the newlywed couple with the added amenity of the hot tub!
If you’re staying here, no need to bring beach towels as they are provided for you along with all other linens. The cleaner was thorough and kind. We requested a change of linens and she did just that along with cleaning our bathrooms.
Additionally, the chef option is very much worth it! One of our guests was vegan, the chefs accommodated with ease cooking food equally as delicious as everything else they served! It’s a great option for large groups and allows for a worry-free vacation! From local delicacies to international cravings, they can do it all.
The host was fantastic! He checked in on us consistently. We felt cared for constantly. When we had a small issue, it was handled with immediacy!
We will add that if you are staying here, you should:
- [ ] use the amazing pool as much as possible!
- [ ] rent a car as you are in the country
- [ ] enjoy all of the local beaches including Morris Bay, Jolly Beach and Darkwood Beach
We will definitely book again!!

Three couples along with myself and husband stayed at Fort Shelly for a week to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The family that owns and operates the property, as well as all of the staff, chefs, cooks that we came into contact with, were so very nice and accommodating.
The only thing the property was lacking was basics in the kitchen. There was no plastic wrap, aluminum foil, food storage bags or containers, etc. We had chefs/cooks come three nights and we had them take leftovers because there was no way to keep them. It would have been nice to have a way to save and reheat.
Other than that, we loved the pool, patio and space for everyone. Every time we did run out of something (paper towel, dish soap) they were quick to respond and bring repacements. They were also very helpful in giving advice on local restaurants, beaches, activities, etc. We would definitely go back!

The stay was amazing. Everything from the rum cake at checkin (amazing!) to the regular communication with Andrez. We enjoyed spending our time at the pool or gathering indoors for a family meal or just hanging out. The home was special is for the 10 of us to enjoy each other and have our privacy. The communication with Andrez was top notch. He assisted resolving a car rental issue we had on the island all the way to restaurant recommendations. Shaneka was cordial and came early to clean one day since we had an early outing.
I highly recommend Fort Shelley for your next visit. We will definitely be back!
Thank you Andrez, Shaneka and Nair!

Our stay at Fort Shelley was absolutely amazing. The home was spacious. We had 10 people in our group and it never felt crowded. My favorite feature was the infinity pool overlooking the ocean! The scenery on all four sides of the home is breathtaking. Also, the owner did everything to make sure our stay was seamless. It was true paradise! I can't wait to come back.

OMG this was phenomenal from the location to the attention to detail provided by the hosts. We were a group of 19 celebrating milestone birthdays. Andrez arranged special outings and those service providers did not disappoint. From the dinner cruise to the on site massages everything was more than i could ask for, I would recommend this to anyone trying to reconnect with their tribe. The view was breathe taking. The 15 minute drive to the beach was so convenient, The host checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well. Every room has it's own balcony and bathroom the views from the balcony are well just great. There was even complimentary housekeeping services 2 days in the week.
I loved that it was only my group on the property and we were able to celebrate and hang out by the pool any time without worrying about other guest. The food was freshly prepared if you purchase the meal package and they even bought us sandwiches on our departure day. The villas were so large and well laid out nobody felt cramped..the guest rooms are extra large more like suite in regular hotel. This truly exceeded all of my expectation and my group indicated this would be on our list for a return visit. Thank you Andrez, Nair, Heather, Paula and Adria...thank you all for making us feel like family!

This property’s design is amazing; it is positioned so that you get beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea from every room.
The Villas are located up the hill from the main road with a paved drive way, therefore, access by vehicle was smooth. The double security gates that enclose the property were wide enough to accommodate our tour bus and the circular driveway was large enough for the bus to make a full turn comfortably.
The private setting was ideal, we rented both villas. (You can rent one at a time if you have a smaller group) My family and friends enjoyed being away from the crowds of the larger, noisy, impersonal, resorts. We were able to be festive without worrying about disturbing neighbors. Although we were a large group we never felt cramped.
The two main buildings are connected by a beautifully landscaped tropical garden walkway, but are far enough apart that if you only rent one villa it would still feel private. Next time I may take walkie-talkies to communicate with people in the other Villa, because even though wifi is included, the service was inconsistent and my cellular service was international so I was trying to avoid using it.
The infinity edge pool had umbrellas for shade, sun lounges for those who didn’t want shade; as well as, sitting chairs and tables for pool side card games and snacks. We spent much time there in the day and at night playing music and enjoying the deck.
Near the pool deck is an outdoor shower which was helpful for washing sand off when you return from the beach, we didn’t want to track it into the Villas.
The villas high ceilings kept the us cool when the doors & windows were open so we could enjoy the Caribbean breeze; but we also had the option of using the AC if we wanted.
The common areas were laid out so well that the loud sounds of laughter from our late night game night didn’t disturb the group members that went to bed earlier. These villas were really a great space for bonding & making memories.
Mrs. Roberts even made us a homemade rum cake that tasted spectacular!!! This very personal touch was another reason we were happy booking with a local family.
There was a private chef option, but our group chose to visit Ojs Beach Bar, Miracles Restaurant, Turner’s Beach Bar, Al Porto’s for Pizza, Dennis Restaurant, and Aunty Carvelle’s at Darkwood Beach because they we all so close by.
Overall we had a great stay. Thumbs up.

Birthday vacation
My stay at this beautiful villa was amazing. Breathtaking view! You’d have to see it in person because the pictures and actually being on the property are totally different. Andrez and his parents are great hosts and quick with a response time when I needed something. I would definitely stay at this villa again.
