This lovely cottage was perfect for our stay. Although a smaller home, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us to comfortably enjoy our time there. The owner is fantastic & very responsive. The house has had updates that make it even more inviting, comfortable and aesthetically interesting. The location was very nice-2 blocks from the waterfront & shops. It is also not far from a gorgeously moody historical walled cemetery that is shaded by singing cicada filled live oaks that were just dripping with lacy fern fronds. The porch sitting was on point in the provided rocking chairs and porch swing. I wish we could have stayed longer in this little gem of a house! We plan to return again next season.

The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and an easy walk to food and the waterfront. The beds were especially comfortable and the decorations are charming. Perfect fit for our family of four for an extended weekend. Would book again for future visits

We were in the area visiting our son who is with the USCG at Fort Macon. I did not want to stay in Atlantic Beach or Moorehead City and fell in love with Beaufort during a visit in February. The location is perfect. It's two blocks to the water front and it's easy to get on the road to Morehead City.
The area is a relaxed slow paced place surrounded by historical homes.
The beds were perfect and the linens were top notch. I'm a bed snob. I highly recommend the home if a relaxed environment is what you are looking for.

My husband, golden doodle & I stayed a week at the Windsor House recently. It was a great home, wonderful location and most responsive host. An especially nice touch was the plush beach towels for guests. We definitely will be back!

House is well equipped and comfortable! Mattresses were great, house was clean, and kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the convenient location and the front porch swing! I only marked down listing accuracy by one star because it says spa/hot tub and there isn’t one. Probably just a vrbo error. We hope to stay here again!

Great place close to downtown, all amenities as advertised. Only downside was no closet space to hang clothes. Very attentive owner, easy check in.

From the very beginning of our stay until the last minute this place was perfect. The location couldn't have been better if you want to hang out downtown. You can walk anywhere and it was close. The inside had everything you needed for a family of 5. Jessica answered us so fast if we had any questions. I loved renting a golf cart and having running the backroads as well.

We enjoyed our stay and Jess was very communicative, which we were grateful for. The home is historic, so there are some concessions to make, but overall we were pleased.

This cottage (house) is set in a perfect location, 2 blocks from Beaufort"s wonderful water front. Plenty of parking, a kitchen that has everything one could possible need, outdoor shower if you want a wonderful experience. And I liked the fact that the host was available if we had any questions and sent us a nice welcoming email. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hosts. Great for weekend w/ the guys, but probably too rustic for my wife.

The house was so nice! And a short walk to Front St. where all the shops and restaurants were. We had a very nice, enjoyable stay!

The house was perfect for us. Super cute and charming. Just a couple blocks to the “main drag” waterfront. Can’t beat the location!

First Stay in Beaufort
This was our first stay in Beaufort and we absolutely loved it. The house is in an ideal location, has plenty of room, is a charming piece of history and has a wonderful front porch to relax on. We were able to walk all over town to dinner, an evening cruise, shopping, etc. We enjoyed several long walks through the postcard like streets of Beaufort (such amazing homes). The Beaufort waterfront has so much to offer and we took advantage of it each day. We can't wait to return.

Way Better Than Even Hoped!
Excellent location. The pictures don't do it justice - it is by far more adorable and comfortable than shown. I have recommended this location to friends and will continue to do so. An absolute gem!

Great location , plenty of room and everything you need!
We truly enjoyed our stay! House was writhing walking distance to restaurants and waterfront, plenty of parking for my boat and close to boat ramp. House was clean, well stocked for all you needs and the A/C worked great. My only complaint was the TV sitting area, one futon and one hard love seat with no arm rest. Both were not comfortable for sitting through a movie. When on vacation and on outings most of day it is nice to sit on comfy couch or chairs and relax at end of day.

Awesome
We loved the convenience of the location and everything that it included. The owners were always very prompt and helpful whenever I reached out. The house is old and historic, which means that it isn’t going to be perfect in its 100+ year old age. Honestly, I appreciate that quality and we all had fun with what some had complained about in earlier reviews. It felt like being at my grandmother’s again. I’d definitely stay again.

Fishing getaway
Jessica’s Windsor house was beautiful and perfectly described. We were there on a fishing retreat. The little time we did stay there, the house was minutes walking distance from downtown waterfront where we could relax and wind down. The home was beautifully decorated as a waterfront retreat. The AC worked fabulously. There was ample parking and a nice side yard. One request I would make is to have a porch light floodlight on the side yard as we were mostly there in the evening. Overall five stars and I will definitely return.

Review of Beaufort house
Cute house just a couple of blocks from Front Street. Very clean! Couple of drawbacks. The only shower in the house is so tiny that you can’t hardly turn around and, the shower head is so low that, between the two, it was VERY difficult for four grown men between 6 ft and 6’5 to get clean! Also, prepare to feel drunk while walking through the house even if you haven’t drank a drop because the floors are so warped. Oh, and no dish washer. Other than that, very neat lil place!

Charming cottage, fantastic location!
We had a wonderful trip to Beaufort and were very pleased with the property, especially it's convenient location to the restaurants and shops on Front Street. The house description that was posted was accurate and we found we had everything we needed, included soaps, cleaning and paper products, salt/pepper and even coffee grounds. We were very pleased with the comfort of the bed in the Master and our kids were comfortable in the other bedrooms. We did have an issue at checkin that required a call to the homeowner to get the cleaning crew to come out. Jess immediately answered the phone and had the cleaning crew out within 10 minutes to address our concern. We were pleased to have off-the-street parking for our car our 2 boys enjoyed playing in the small side-yard area. Although we do not have pets, this property would be perfect for your furry friend. As mentioned in other reviews, this is a historic property built in 1886 so the floors are uneven, which can take a minute to get used to but we did not find it to be a hinderance. We would definitely stay at this property again!

We love Beaufort. This is a great house and more room than the two of needed. Loved the front porch. That was my perch when we were at the house. The price was right, location good, one block from Ann St. The house was very clean and kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The owners provided lots of hand sanitizer, soap, etc. Stayed over Halloween weekend and it was so fun to see all the kids come out with their parents. We did most of our cooking at the house, love fresh seafood we get at the coast. We had everything we needed, which was nice. Bed was comfortable, funiture.too. The owners were very responsive, provided more towels than we could ever need and we just had a wonderful time in their home. I will have to point out to remember this is a historical house and this has some of the issues you see in houses of this vintage, that’s not necessarily a negative but just to be aware that the floor slopes in some areas and the shower was a little small

Oct. 2020.
We had a nice stay for three nights. The owner did respond to a couple of issues we had. Those were not a reflection of the house or the owner. Housekeeping left our clean towels in an unfolded pile on the dining room table. And when we were going to wash some of our own clothes, the washing machine was full of wet towels and sheets that were washed but left in the washer. Also, the cushions on the rocking chairs on the porch had LOTS of dog hair on them. That was our only experience we were unhappy with. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Historical convenience
Our family had a great time staying at the Windsor House! Jess was awesome about being able to reach her for any reason or questions we had. The front porch and wind chimes were my favorite. Only two blocks from the waterfront with all the shops and dining! Also a community specialty market is right across the street too. Very adorable and fun stay.

Small and clean
The house was well cleaned but a little dated, still very charming. It is very small, but has everything you need. The backyard is a parking lot, one side is just a strip of grass, but the other side yard is bigger. It has a shed, the AC unit, the trash, a small grilling patio and provides the area for parking., but no real space for play. All and all very functional

Great location, historic & quiet property
Lovely house for our "cousin's weekend" in Beaufort. Walking distance to waterfront, restaurants and coffee shops is great, and just walking around the neighborhood looking at the old homes is a treat. We used the front porch for almost everything :-) and slept so soundly in the quiet and cozy bedrooms. Overall a wonderful stay. Future VRBOers should remember there is only one shower (no bathtub) and no dishwasher. Didn't bother us one bit but good to remember if that is important to you!
