Great apartment in a perfect location. The views are amazing.

The property is better than the photos, comfortable furnishings and very comfortable bed. Some goodies in the fridge ❤️ and loved the coffee machine and pods. We didn’t use the kitchen due to all the great eateries so close by but there was everything you might need if you wanted to cook inside or on the bbq outside. Fantastic communication and whole process very easy.

A wonderful luxury property which has been beautifully maintained. Note that it is managed through a 3rd Party (Vrbo UK) and not Expedia, and the 'Meet & Greet' was not exactly as advertised. However, getting access was straightforward. The apartment is spacious inside and enjoys a well equipped kitchen. It has a large balcony with a dining table for 6, and a gas BBQ. The views are spectacular. Bedrooms are large and comfortable with lovely bathrooms, comprising a large walk in shower (ensuite) and huge bath (separate). The utility room has a good washer and dryer. In short, this apartment wants for nothing. The only slight downsides are the noise from the local bars (audible music each night until 2300-2330). On the positive side, if you are in those bars and restaurants, of which there are many within walking distance, you'll not care! Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

The pub noise occurred from Thursday to Sunday, always from 6PM until 11 or 11.30 PM
It could be blocked by closing the doors, but spoiled sitting outside in the evenings
The 25m pool was good for swimming laps
Overall a good property with a lot to offer, and OK if you are not bothered by singing from Paddy’s Bar

On arriving at the apartment, we found that the description of the ease of moving luggage from car to inside the apartment was completely accurate. No steps at all, and literally 5 metres to the front door. Inside, the apartment was really well equipped and the balcony was just gorgeous! PD had a wonderful temperature/humidity balance and a pleasant breeze, and sitting on the balcony was very relaxing. All in all, a great stay.

Wonderful Accommodation, Great Lication
Booking this property for a week was a great choice. The property overlooks Macrossan St but not close enough to hear the noise. The unit was very clean and the check in was easy.
The communication between us and the property manager was great, the chocolates and sparkling in the fridge was greatly appreciated.

Loved the pool and balcony view
Our 5 days at this ocean-view property were wonderful and we would love to come back. The apartment is on the top story of three stories, but built on a hill so you park you car at the front door of the apartment and don't have the carry any bags up stairs. Once you enter the small kitchen is on the right and the hallway leading to the bedrooms. The lounge and large balcony are directly ahead and provide lovely views over the pool and ocean and mountains. Amazingly there is NO biting insects so we sat outside every night on the balcony drinking wine. It was bliss. The saltwater pool is beautiful - it's just perfect for a morning and afternoon dip and a good length to swim some laps as well. We cooked a little in the kitchen - it is small but functional and had all the utensils we needed. The apartment is ideally located, parallel to the main street of Macrossan so you are close to all the shops, but from the apartment you really only see the pool and ocean, not the main street. We loved this place and know you will too!

Don’t try to make a left hand turn out of the driveway!
Apartment 9 is perhaps the best in the apartment block because the balcony is just at the level of the tree line and has clear views of the bay and mountains of Port Douglas. Also the car park is on the same level as the front door of the unit, hence no stairs.
Swimming pool is one of the best we have had in an apartment block, kids spent all day there.
Amenities are all excellent, you will enjoy everything.
Minor warning: don’t try to make a left hand turn out of the driveway (especially at night) into Murphy st, there is a deep culvert on other side of the road. I dropped my right front wheel it and needed to call the RACQ to tow me out!

We can’t fault this lovely property and its location. Walking distance to all the local walks, shops, cafes etc, great outlook and fabulous access to amazing Daintree, Mossman Gorge and Cairns. We are going home with very big smiles!

Wonderful stay!
The villa was exceptionally nice and just what we needed in the middle of a 4-week trip! It is so close to the heart of Port Douglas, the marina (for diving/snorkeling trips, and the Sunday market! We enjoyed being able to barbecue some dinners and to relax in an environment like home. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful villa in a great location
We were very happy with this villa in a lovely small complex for a 2 couple stay. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds and lounges very comfortable. The deck is the best part - big and with a sensational view. We enjoyed the pool and tennis court and it’s a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants and the beach. We’d definitely come back!

Consistently wonderful.
We have been to PD many times, and stayed in many places. Lately we have regularly been staying here because it ticks many boxes for my family. With two little boys, we love being close to town not only for the ease of getting to shops and restaurants (and ice-creams!), but also for the ambience in the evening. The town closes very early in PD, by around 11pm it becomes very quiet. We enjoy listening to faint music from the hotels of an evening on the deck as we have a glass of wine and wind down while the kids sleep. The apartment is extremely solid, and when the windows are closed at night it is incredibly quiet. We also like that it is so close to the market so we can duck down several times in one day for groceries, or to drop off items we have purchased so that we don't need to carry them around. The street this apartment is on is one of my favourite streets - beautiful lush vegetation, easy access to the beach, the park, the lookout the shops, and with some great hills to exercise the legs after eating too much! It's a private street too, so no car noise. The rooms are very comfortable - carpeted floors are rare in Prt Douglas thanks to the problems with mildew, but it adds to the lush and comfortable feeling of the apartments. The beds are divine, big and perfect. Lots of windows means we can open up the whole place and feel the breeze - we never need the air conditioning on, so always feel really comfortable and not cold or dried out. The view is amazing. A well placed mirror in the house means you can see the inlet from the kitchen, and everywhere else has broad sweeping views from the tops of the lasts at the marina, right across the inlet. The mountains to the west look incredible and thanks to the dynamic climate, there is always a new sky to appreciate as the clouds roll in, or the sun sets. It is really spectacular in my view. All the rooms are very large and accomodating. The dining area is huge, the master bedroom is very big, the main bathroom is very spacious and solid, and even the ensuite is big - as big as most apartments bathrooms. The decked area outside is big, with a large dining table and chairs, plus a lounge, and still room for the kids to play, and to store all the inflatable pool toys we collect! A big plus for me is the kitchen. We don't like to eat out all the time as it can get a bit 'same' and also not very healthy (and expensive!). Disappointing Stay
We were very disappointed with our stay at The Point. We have stayed in Port Douglas before and this is not the location or accommodation I would recommend.
The positives were the lovely view from the balcony and the pool which had nice gardens and was a good size. Close to Port Douglas shops, cafes, restaurants etc. The apartment itself is ok, furnishings are all a bit old fashioned nothing special.
The negatives were that no one met us when we arrived, the agent was busy in Mossman so we let ourselves in. It was very noisy! Building works were happening throughout complex while we were staying. Lots of power tools and banging and crashing all day long. Location whilst being close to shops etc. was very noisy at night. Lots of noise from pubs and people partying in town until the early hours. We had a baby with us so wasn’t a relaxing holiday vibe for us. Also a lot of plant noise surrounding the complex, air-conditioning from other apartments, restaurants etc. are constantly buzzing. Not in a quiet area of Port Douglas.
The main problem we had was that the coffee plunger in the apartment was broken and we asked for a replacement. The owner came while we were out and let herself into the apartment without our permission or even letting us know. Which we thought was very disrespectful of our privacy as paying guests. She was not happy with how we were holidaying in her apartment – we had been doing artworks with our daughter. So this became a major issue with the owner. They ended up refusing to refund our bond money ($300) as they thought that the drawings we had blu tacked to the walls have marked the walls. (Which they didn’t we checked and were very careful.) They have been very defensive and not easy to communicate with. I would not recommend this accommodation because of the noise and the owners attitude to guests. Very disappointing as all the reviews are good but we did not have a good experience here at all.

I've visited Port Douglas a few times now and this would be the best accommodation I've stayed in...by far.
A short walk to the main street, the apartment is well equipped and has two large bathrooms for each couple.
The view from the balcony is stunning. Pool / Spa area is set among a tropical garden and great place to relax though isn't heated so a little cold in the winter months. Would be amazing for the warmer months though!.
