About this house rental
Welcome to your very own summer beach home! Located a short 3 minute walk from good harbor beach, this two level single family home offers five bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open concept kitchen, living room and dinning room with an additional living space on the lower level perfect for the kids. The grounds include parking for up to six cars, an outdoor entertaining/dinning area, and spacious fenced in yard for the kids to run around in. It's the perfect home for a large group or family traveling together.
Inside you will find comfortable furnishings and all the necessary items to make your stay enjoyable. Onsite amenities include but are not limited to: Wi-Fi, Washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen with dishes and cookware, two televisions with app/ streaming services and a bunk bed set up for those traveling with kids. Don't forget the outside shower to get all that sand off after a day on the beach.
The top floor features an open concept living room, dinning room and kitchen as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master located on this floor has a king bed and small balcony overlooking the marsh. Another smaller bed off the kitchen has a twin over full bunk bed. A large deck off the living room overlooks the fenced in yard with fire pit. All rooms on this level have ductless AC.
Downstairs you'll find 3 bedrooms, a small tv area and another full bathroom. The bedrooms on this level consist of 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. All of the bedrooms have window air conditioners (window units are in place Memorial Day-labor day) . The living room has a ductless wall unit. The laundry room is also located on this level.
Aside from the accommodations, what will keep you coming back year after year is the unbelievably short walk to Good Harbor beach. You can be on the beach in minutes, and you'll welcome the short walk back after a relaxing day.
**Linens/towels are NOT provided (we do supply pillows, blankets and mattress covers). Please see the house manual/welcome email for needed items.

You really could not get more convenient! A quick walk to the beach. Shops right around the corner if you need anything. A private driveway for parking. The spot is nice and quiet! We stayed with our parents and our children and everyone had an amazing time. The owners were responsive and accommodating. I’m sure we will be back :)

We came here for my oldest daughter wedding at the Cruiseport. I rented this home for my mother aunt and uncle and godmother who has MS. As well as my youngest daughter boyfriend and brother. The house was so wonderful. I was able to have the elderly be comfortable on the lower level while the younger ones stay upstairs. I loved having the separate entrance. My uncle like to go for coffee real early in the am. The house was clean and we unfortunately did not get to use all the amenities like the fire pit. I did walk the beach and it was very close to go down to beach. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your home Lisa and Pat!! I would definitely recommend it!

We went in winter so this was a spacious spot for us to fit everyone comfortably. We had a few things planned so being so close to stores, restaurants, and surrounding cities was a bonus. Plus the beach is across the street which makes for a peaceful walk on a sunny day. Would definitely book again!

We 100% recommend this property in Gloucester. Lisa and Patrick were great hosts and were always responsive to our messages. The house was very clean and had everything you needed in a rental. The best part was being down the road from the beach and close to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Great summer “staycation”!
Travel options are limited this summer (due to COVID-19 precautions) - we only live about 30min from Pat & Lisa’s beach house, but had the full experience of a relaxing beach getaway with our family! This clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated beach house was only 2 min walk to Good Harbor. The kids also enjoyed the short walk to a fantastic ice cream & pizza/sub shop. The downstairs apartment was perfect for our teenage kids. We also loved the large fenced in yard (our Boston Terrier enjoyed running around in safety). Communication with Lisa & Pat was always prompt and friendly. We definitely want to visit again!

Highlights of the house are the proximity to the beach- a 2 minute walk and the backyard. Nice green grass is highlighted by a fire pit and horseshoe pit.

We appreciated the two floors which provided more than ample space. The downstairs allowed those staying there to feel they could retreat to their own area.

Our family had an enjoyable experience at the property. The home was well maintained.
The advantage of this home is the proximity to Good Harbor Beach, a 5 minute walk across a street. The parking is easy for four cars and possible for six. Awarkward is the separation of the upstairs and downstairs units. It is necessary to go outside to go from one to another. Good to know for a large family. In hot humid weather the lack of air conditioning is problematic and uncomfortable. Cable television was limited upstairs and not available downstairs although Riki and Netflix was. The owners obviously care for the property and keep in touch and are available. This is a fine rental for those looking for a true beach experience.

Great vacation
The owners quickly responded to any questions I had before/during/after our stay. The house was so clean and comfortable and in a great location. Beautiful back deck and fenced in yard. Everything we needed and hoped for in a rental. The house is basically two separate units, upstairs and downstairs “apartments”- which we didn’t realize at the time we rented and it ended up working out great. Only drawback is crossing the street to get to the beach. It is a very busy street and people drive fast on it. My dad walks with a cane and several times motorists ignored him being in the crosswalk. Hoping to be back next year!

A three minute walk to Good Harbor Beach, well-maintained
There are two units in this home, a downstairs one with a kitchen, bathroom, sitting room and two bedrooms with queens. The upstairs unit as a really nice big bedroom with a small private deck with a small round table and two chairs. There is also a nice deck off the upstairs unit facing the backyard. There are two additional bedrooms with queen/double and an additional single loft/upper bunk in each. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Linens were provided for an extra fee and they were nice quality. This is definitely a beach house, but it is well-maintained and clean. The backyard has a lot of room and a fire pit, which we did not have opportunity to use. We also rented a property from same owners about a quarter mile down the road. The two properties together accommodated our large extended family for a wedding weekend. It was great! Owners were very communicative and responsive.

Great location, perfect for a big group
Had a wonderful weekend stay in Lisa and Patrick's home while in town for a wedding in Rockport. Great outdoor space, comfortable rooms that had plenty of space for our group of ten and a location right next to the beach couldn't be beat.

Perfect summer house for a large group!
This was perfect for a large group of friends coming together for a reunion at a local wedding. The location is perfect - walking distance to the beach! Plenty of beds, HUGE yard and plenty of kitchen space.
The hosts were very accommodating, attentive and helpful, but did not make us feel like we were intruding - they gave us our space to enjoy the house and our time there!

We so enjoyed this Home for our Dad ( 92 years young! ) and Siblings Weekend together!
From our initial contact with the Owners and their prompt responses, we were pleased. I had different questions and they were always answered quickly and completely.
We found the Home to be Clean and all in working order.
However, the Wonderful Deck, Backyard and the close proximity to Good Harbor Beach are terrific!
We were spoiled by the weather becoming "July in September" Gorgeous so the Beach was the Place to be!
However, we also enjoyed the Patriots' Fantastic Win on the TV in the most comfortable Living Room!
Though this Home is two stories,( with bedrooms, bath, kitchen & living room on each floor) we really lived in the second floor with its three bedrooms, full bath and kitchen and living room and the Great Deck!!
At another time, this Home would work perfectly for our two daughters and their young children to join us and stay on the first floor!

Lovely Good Harbor Getaway
Lovely home in a fabulous location! Short walk to Good Harbor, two minute drive to the best ice cream, Long Beach Dairy Maid. We loved the yard, firepit for smores and the outdoor shower. Fabulous and fun week!

We had a wonderful time. Great location just a short walk to Good Harbor, and the yard was perfect for my family. Lots of fun around the fire pit every night, and lots of corn hole tournaments. We spent most of our time in the yard or down the beach, as the weather was fantastic. The accommodations were great, and the owners were very helpful and responsive to all the questions we had. I messed up with the second payment, and they were very understanding and flexible. Check out the $9.95 lobster rolls at the Surfside every Tuesday, which is just a short walk down Thatcher towards Long Beach.

Perfect location. Walking distance to the beautiful beach and to an ice cream shop. Plenty of parking. The house was very comfortable and clean. It was our first time renting a house and we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Everything was as listed and the pictures listed were accurate. Having two separate apartments with two kitchens was ideal and helped keep the sanity with 4 families and our parents. We loved the spacious fenced in backyard where the children could play freely. The fire pit was great for the chilly evenings where we made s'mores wth the kids. And after they went to bed, the grownups enjoyed it with a glass a wine and conversation. The owners were a pleasure to work with. Responding quickly to all our questions and although we didn't need anything during our stay, we felt comfortable that they would respond quickly to any of our needs. We highly recommend this home for any large family our group especially with kids. We will definitely return.

I came to Gloucester for a wedding with a large group of friends and this house suited our needs very well. It was a little funny because there are no interior stairs between the properties but it still functioned very well. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pup and the fire pit was a great added bonus. Wish we had better weather so we could take advantage of the beach being so close. Lisa was very pleasant to deal with as well!

The beach house was perfect for our big family gathering. We got married at Good Harbor Beach and were able to have our large family there with room for everyone. The backyard is perfect for a big BBQ, and the fire pit was really nice at night. There was lots of sleeping space and seating for everyone. The rental is divided into two separate apartments, which came in really handy for our group since we had young kids and older adults whose bedtime schedules are different. Lisa and Pat were very helpful setting up our stay, and the beach house had all the accommodations we needed. And, the best part, it is a very short walk to the most beautiful beach in New England!

This property worked great for our family of 13 with 2 kitchens and 5 bedrooms. The yard was definitely the highlight of the home as the children played for hours every day. We have quite an extended family in the Gloucester area so we hosted 4 dinners with 25+ on any given evening featuring fresh fish, lobster, and more and ended the nights around the fire pit making smores. What made it easy to host large crowds was the fabulous fenced yard that the kids enjoyed, and gave the adults the opportunity to visit without the worry. Being within walking distance of Good Harbor Beach was the icing on the cake for us! Not too many issues and anything that came up, the owners were right on top of, including bringing us a portable AC unit because the weather was humid (we did not request this). The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that I felt some maintenance is needed but otherwise perfect for a summer vacation. I'd like to come back in 2017 but want 2 weeks instead of one!!! I love and miss my hometown of picturesque Gloucester and love to entertain family and friends and this home was the PERFECT place to do it.
